- I am impressed with this dual_laser, a 10w diode laser and a 2w fiber laser. You can engrave on almost all materials, the wood, the leather, the stone, the plastic, the metals, and etc. Besides, the newest accessories are also amazing. The rotary extension can engrave on cylindrical object, even inside the ring; the slide extension can expand the engraving area，also you can have fun with multi_layers.

Excellent video. I backed the LP2 and then the LP3 on Kickstarter and I was one of the first to back the LP4. It really is an impressive machine for its size. I'm most impressed with the rotary and slide features and they look like well made accessories. What I'm most impressed with is the huge update to the LaserPecker software. Previous versions were pretty basic and honestly it put a lot of new users off. Looking forward to delivery in a few months.

Yes indeed it is a big step forward with this Laserpecker 4 both in terms of power, quality of hardware and software, it is a versatile machine.
A dream for me to one day have a machine like this. Right now only budget for the comgo z1, which is earth breaking slow compared to this machine. But i'll watch patiently while the z1 is finishing, dreaming away about a Laserpecker. But, don't tell my z1 i said that.

Does anyone know if this can be safely used on NFC cards, without damaging the NFC chip?
I can't answer you exactly because I've never done it, but I think you have to be very careful because the laser burns the surface at high temperature so it generates a lot of heat around the engraving point.. I I'm not sure that the chip appreciates this.. maybe only burning at high speed in 1065 nM will limit the heating.. to be tested..
I just "pre-ordered" the LP4 through KickStarter. How do you guys already have this machine if it's still in KickStarter status? I haven't been able to see where these are for sale yet except through the KickStarter Rewards Program. Great video BTW.

Would you be able to tell me if the LP4 is a able to engrave anodized aluminum to a depth deep enough to be able to feel the height difference between the metal and engraving? Looks like you're able to set the depth and number of passes in the software.
I have never tried to engrave at such depth, but you can indeed adjust the number of passes and the depth
Etching PVC? Were there any special safety precautions?
yes this engraver works perfectly on PVC, you can use the 1064. Nm module for a fine result
@@bawbreizhartwood The concern isn't whether the laser CAN cut it, it's that PVC givea off very dangerous toxic fumes when burned and really should be avoided.

PVC produces hydrochloric acid and toxic fumes when lasered.

What are the limitations to what can be engraved? Can you use online images?
Yes you can use images online.
For the limits they are on certain non-ferrous metals but otherwise it engraves a lot of materials.
