Time goes by and each day a survivor passes away: is not so far the time we won't have any of them. I wanna say thanks and thanks for eachone of the testimonies on tape. They will last forever.

G-d bless this amazing woman. I am a seasoned Radio and TV newscaster, & this testimony made me cry, and not a lot does. Her testimony is so poignant.

I know it was different times but I still can't understand how intolerant and cruel normal people were in those days. How they could follow a monster - i can't write anymore as I just can't understand this hate. RIP Mrs Wees. I am proud of the people in our village though in Wales, my 92 year old father remembers one of the big houses in our village that took in lots and lots of children who were Jewish and they had a very nice time here and were welcomed in a safe place.

In those days? America is enacting policy that discriminates against people as we speak, nothing changes.

5/10/18: I thank all the holocaust survivors for sharing their experience of that horrible time. I think MOST of these survivors may no longer with us but the videos are here forever. Everyone need to know of the atrocities done to the Jewish ppl ( or any ppl that have been persecuted in any way due to their race, religion or etc ). It seem that ALL of them ( survivors ) had good childhoods PRIOR TO the holocaust.
Thank you, precious people, thank you. Aloha from Hawaii.

To the complainers below, and all others who have some misdirected need to find fault with the interviewer, I say your petty digression should be superseded with Gratitude that this testimony exists. When your ears and hearts are open, you will be less inclined to find fault in a job well done. One that achieved it’s painful, yet important goal. Thank you Judy for volunteering your time, and Elizabeth for your historic testimony.

Don’t you agree that Germany should take the lead in stopping Putin? The conflict is happening near their body. This is Europe’s fight.
How can the German people EVER be forgiven for what they did? They can take the lead in stopping Putin. When world War 3 starts (maybe already) Germany should take the lead in fighting it.

I am very grateful for Mrs. Wees’ doing this interview and giving her testimony. It was hard for her, painful, yet she was able to give details about her happy family life prior to the Nazis. I hurt for her and mourn the murders of her family members. I am so glad she survived the concentration camps and went on to have a family.

Thank you, Elizabeth, for sharing your moving and very detailed testimony. You are a beautiful woman! God bless you and all those who suffered so severely under the Nazi regime.
With all respect and, as stated many times below, the interviewer didn’t have a clue and obviously wasn’t listening!
God bless Israel and all the Jewish people!

Do you know when I began to cry? When she said her number was removed during surgery. I was cheering for her doctor and hers in the moment. It was as if that element of attempting to stain her body became unsuccessful. Like one more chain was broken. 💕

This interviewer is thick. At least she could show respect, by listening carefully to the person being interviewed so that things don't need to be repeated. It also shows a lack of interest on the interviewers behalf.

This interviewer is interviewing like a lawyer would, because this is for the historical record. She is trying to get every detail correct, so that it can be entered into history accurately.
I saw her perform another interview, and I was like “what is WRONG with this B*!” But then I realized what she was doing, she is doing a job, she is trying to get every detail accurate, so she makes them repeat things to get every detail correct.
Like when she says “ who is ‘they’?”

Her memories are so fresh and so achingly painful. I find it hard to forgive the perpetrators and I have not even been remotely touched by the Holocaust.

Shame on Shoah and the interviewer. I have watched a number of the interviews and I think many with this interviewer. The interviewed person will give a tormenting story chocking and almost in tears and the interviewer will ask, "how did you feed about that", causing more pain for the person. ? I'm not sure what the point is other than to drag out more emotion. Elizabeth was in enough pain so to me it seemed heartless.

What was your kitchen like?how was your house?can you spell your near city ...this are her questions for survival of the holocaust?
At least the first 30 minutes of this interview is a completely waste of time because of the lady who is asking all rubbish questions...
God bless all this people who survived to the horror of holocaust...
God bless Israel and all Jewish people from all over the world!

    • @Kaymeron

This is for historical purposes. These details MATTER especially in a world where there are still people that don’t know what happened to their ancestors during the war and there are still people denying the holocaust ever happened. Just because her questions didn’t entertain you doesn’t mean that they were not worthwhile.
