You cannot help but love the guy.
That's Amorim's career in a nutshell, before this move, he moved to Sporting CP (arguably in a far more complicated situation than Man United) from SC Braga and the glory and recognition he was finding... Just remember that he moved from a contender to league cups and European football spaces, to a team with no championship titles in 19 years, league cups were a distant memory (albeit far more recent than a league champion title), a team that was crushed by fans who were very aggressive at times (it got to a space where fans felt the team's poor performance justified an invasion of the training grounds and physically assault players a couple years earlier), a club crushed by debt compared to its rivals and that struggled to finish in place that would grant them access to European football... previous toxic leadership that crushed the club DNA, finances and caused a revolving door of managers...In many regards, what he did with Sporting CP is more complex than Man United (it just the case that Man United has a different scale).
@@jpazinhoagreed with all you said except the idea that all the club supporters were angry enough to justify the training facilities invasion and aggression. It was an action by a group of organised thugs and criminals.

That said with the 4-1 victory over Man City, first half Sporting rode their luck a bit first half before destroying 115 in the second half. What we do know is Ruben's method works, he proved it over 4 years at Sporting.

What a stupid question from the journalist about how to help Rashford to get back into form!...And what an intelligent answer from Amorim to call him Manchester united boy!...And he technically added that he (Rashford) has to find a way to be Marcus than seeking relevance through being a Manchester boy😂😅😅😅😅
Sick and tired of listening to issues related to both Casemiro and Rashford struggles. We need meaningful solutions for their team contributions. Amorim has to work on this fate imminently or simply drop the said pair and integrate the willing players for the task ahead. We now need Amorim answers to the problems he is facing rather than wasting time answering baseless and biased questions from pundits.
It's not about desire, it's about playing to his strenghts. Marcus has always said he's a winger and that's where he playes best but he's happy to help the team where he can. If that means up top then it's up top. It isn't lack of desire though.
