It is kinda, I'd rather be on the beach if I'm honest, I won't be going back to that particular spot for a while. The tackle loss is far too much. We have a comp close by soon, so I'm just hoping I can be somewhere else🤞🤞🎣👍
Kudos for saving the doggies mate, great to see a blonde, you’ll get one next time👊🏻👊🏻enjoy your break mate, god knows how you normally find the time to get a vid out every week, well deserved😊👍👍
great session with the lads buddy a that fox was the best fox i’ve ever seen fox’s around were i live are mankie too many mac donald’s lol take care dylan 🎣👍
Good Morning Dylan , Well done to you & Nobby specially getting the 2 doggies , another brilliant video again great criac aswell , take care & tight lines
Cheers Steve, it was a good laugh. Just glad he had his waders, so I could get in. Pain in the neck venue again, so I'm looking forward to an easier one soon. Having said that, I do want to try for a bream if I can on the weekend. Never had one in November, the tide is wrong, but it's now or never 🤣👍🎣
Pretty tough session Dylan, but at least you caught something, and nice to see the ray your mate caught. The section you were fishing can be worse than Fort Vic 🤦♂️🐟🎣
Thanks mate, yeah I'd defo agree with that, it was pretty bad. I've never really liked fishing there. It would be nice to get a blonde ray, but at what cost👍🎣🎣
Hi Dylan, I think you did well to stick it out for as long as you did. I hate it when you keep getting snagged in other people’s lost gear and all you’re doing is adding to it. I think you need a little break after that session. Nice blonde ray for Nobby, we don’t get those up here in East Anglia, just thornbacks. Have a good break.
Thanks buddy, been having a great time, but I'm itching to get out again. Funny how you feel when you don't go out, it's almost like I can need that fix 🤣🤣👍👍
good effort Dylan still caught mate ,lovely ray your mate caught ,looks a nice mark pitty about the snags , but i think the good laughs make up for that ,loved the fox right friendly little chap ,hope you have a great time with your family cheers bud stay safe
It was great fun, seeing hi get the target species, definitely made me feel like it could happen any time, but man, yeah those snags are not fun. That's two sessions in a row now. I just hope I can have a nice relaxed session when I get the chance to get back out🤞🎣🎣
Well done mate. Nice blonde that nobby had I would have been chuffed with that. As for the casting I found out a little while back that I cast a lot further keeping it still and punching it out with an overhead vs swinging it around
It does seem to make a difference. In my head, if the lead is further away, then it's got more momentum, but that isn't the case. It's all about the rod. Interesting 😎🎣👍👍
I live on north Cornish coast, if you're ever in area I can show you a variety of types of venue that you don't have in your geographic location , and I'm free anytime. No schedule.. also I really enjoy your channel. 🎣👍
Have you ever taken dogfish for the table ? Used to be called Huss or Rock Salmon in the fish and chip shops. It's actually very nice just have to skin it and get rid of the ammonia first, I used to freeze it for a couple of days.
Lol, more than likely mate, I stripped them right back, but it was probably 4 or 5 months ago now. Maybe a little drop of oil in there before I go out next 😉👍🎣🎣
Sadly my casting is not that good as I’m only casting about 40 yards,I don’t know if it’s down to my rods I use or it’s down to how I’m casting. Your videos are really great 😊😊
Hey mate, it could be a combination of both, I know I used some rods for a while, and I just could not get any further in the cast. As soon as I changed them, it added a fair bit of distance. Technique wise, I can't really comment, as I'm more of a brute force rather than elegant caster🤣🤣🎣🎣
Re your casting. Start your power swing with the lead at the nearest point of it’s arc to you not as you currently do at the farthest point. This will give you more compression therefore more distance without having to force more power into your action. Let the recoil of the rod do the work.
Thanks mate, yeah it is funny, as in my head if the lead is farther away, then it has more distance to travel therefore having more momentum, but that isn't the case. I've definitely noticed and improvement on distance just doing a simple over the h and thump, and letting the recoil do the work. Thanks for the tip mate👍🎣🎣
Lovely venue to fish, but as at FV it’s snag central cos everyone fishes it hard. Still no blank mate and looked a giggle of an evening, best wishes for your time with fam. appreciate your efforts as always 👍🏼👍🏼🎣 I guess your not doing the 22hr comp this weekend?
Yeah man, it was pretty snaggy, I've upgraded my line now for places like that, we'll see how it pans out. I didn't fish it mate, I still struggle to be associated with comps that condone weighing in dead fish🤷🎣🎣
@@MrChinful yeah I gather there were quite a few practicing catch and release, which is great news, and I have spoken at great length to people about it. I totally get the pout thing, as they wash up down the beach, and someone else can weigh them. I also know that there were plenty of fish brought to the weigh in, and some of those fish were taken for food, great, that's what it's about, but I also know that not all fish went to the table, and not all of them were pout. I have had some great conversations with slamfish about this, we all have our views, but for me, catch and release should be mandatory, not an option. You would be surprised how many people don't fish these big comps because of it. I think it's a great topic for discussion and would be happy to talk through any ideas to make it happen. If it's an option, then it's possible to make it mandatory, you'll lose people because of it, but you'll also gain people as well.
@@FrugalOutdoors @ of course I completely understand mate 👌🏻 wasn’t having a pop just annoys me when certain people (not yourself) say it without actually knowing for sure about it. I think the one big problem with it being mandatory is if you’re fishing on your own how do you prove you caught the fish etc? Just feels open to being cheated imo, but I’m the same as you mate would much rather all fish if they’re not being eaten were returned alive. When I weighed my pout in I didn’t see any fish dead anywhere but I didn’t stand around the scales keeping an eye out so only saying what I saw mate hence my first comment.
@@MrChinful no it's cool bud, I do like the topic. I guess you know Nobs, at slamfish. We've had loads of chats about it, and you're right it does open it up but I think if you're going to cheat, then it will happen regardless. What's to say I don't go fishing the night before, or get some from a commercial the day before. Take them in and weigh them. I don't think anyone would be able to tell, if it's a 22hr. Maybe picture evidence if you're on your own, I don't know how they do it anyway to be honest. Maybe have to fish in pairs, get it witnessed. There are a lot of comps that do it, but I do get that it isn't the easiest thing to sort out.
Well done Dylan on recovering the rig the lost rig and the two doggies, nothing sits heavier on my mind than leaving a hook / rig in a fish. 🦸♂ seems to be dog central there at the moment. 🐕 lovely blonde from your mate. Keep it up.
I feel the same as you mate, I do struggle with that aspect of fishing. It doesn't sit well with me at all, and because of that, I've now changed my set up to hopefully try and prevent it a bit more👍🎣🎣
Loved the giggles.......oh and the fishing of course.... Alway good to hear you having fun doing what you love Dyl x🥰
Thanks mum, it was a great laugh, Nobby is a good guy. X
Awesome place to fish Dylan...but just to snaggy for me.
Top video as always with Nobby and the... fox

Another great evening fishing 🎣 with your buddies 🎣👍.
Thanks Richard, I'm glad you enjoyed 👍🎣
ohhh the old faithful dongle rig. Loving it. Cheers Dylan! oh by the way just purchased 3 packs of dongle rigs from your shop! ;)
Awesome thanks mate, hopefully they have arrived, and fingers crossed you get some hook ups. Really appreciate the support bud👍🎣🎣
@@FrugalOutdoors all received. i'll be back for more I am sure!
I admire the dedication to save those fish. Feeding foxes too, so awesome. cheers mate till the next one!
Thank you David, but of a must really. The fox was Greta, I only noticed after that it had a limp, so I felt good about feeding it👍🎣🎣
Well done, Dylan (and Nobby), especially for retrieving the other line and the two doggies.
Had to be done mate, wouldn't sit right leaving then tangled up like that👍🎣🎣
Awesome brother, have a good time with the fam bro!
Cheers dude, had an epic time😎😎🎣🎣
Well in guys top angling 🎣👌
Cheers dude, we will have to catch up at some point mate😉🎣👍👍
Awesome video again mate 🎣 👍🏻
Thanks buddy, Shane I couldn't hook on, but always next time👍👍
Nice vid lads ,nice one. All the best from GRIMSBY
Cheers Carl buddy, hope you are doing well, must be something other than flatfish around up your neck of the woods by now 🤣🎣👍

HI Dylan I love your videos this one is brilliant with the banter with Nobby absolutely brilliant

Makes decent fish nuggets too 🐟🎣👌
I have mate, and I second what Kev said, we make like a kind of scampi from it. Absolutely lovely👍🎣🎣
Another brilliant watch Dylan what tip lights do you use
Thank, you glad you enjoyed, I use the clip on lights, I actually sell two different sizes. If you look in the description you'll find some links😉🎣🎣
