Well...they havent released that many albums, their career has been rather discrete and far from the expectations that many of us had on them. This first album was highly praised and won the Mercury Prize. so,,,,no, I dont see them as underrated. I don't think they kept it up.
The track tells a story about a protagonist who is still holding on to a relationship even though it has fallen apart, and the other person may have moved on. The lyrics suggest that the protagonist is still deeply in love with this person, willing to do anything for them, and willing to change themselves to be what the other person wants. The lines "I'll live for you, I'd die for you" and "Do what you want me to" demonstrate this level of devotion. The chorus, repeating "It's not over, not over, not over, not over yet" along with the lines "You still want me, don't you? Cause I can see through you," reveals the protagonist's desire to hold onto the relationship and their belief that the other person still wants them back. However, this could also be interpreted as a form of denial or wishful thinking on the part of the protagonist. The lines "Don't let me down, don't make a sound, don't throw it all away, Remember me so tenderly" demonstrate the protagonist's fear of losing the relationship and pleading with the other person not to end it completely. The lyrics "My tears will show that I can't let you go" reveal the protagonist's emotional turmoil and struggle with moving on. Overall, the song portrays the desperate attempt of a protagonist to hold onto a love that has faded away, with a sense of hope that it's not over yet, despite the reality of the situation.
Ok I heard one song of these guys and thought they were bad. I come back after all those years and regret it. Literally every other song is soo good. This one especially. Sooo good and the melody and vocals work so well
This song is intriguing to many including me. The instruments at play, the odd but unique electronic melody, and the way the lyrics are said sounds industrial, futuristic, and striking. Another aspect I can add to this is cold; the disruptive rhythm and instruments, especially at the beginning make it have a very noticeable presence. Sounding like a message, an urgent one is being harshly transmitted to the listener. While the lyrics are probably about a breakup (or a possible breakup), it sounds vague to me given the separate context of how the instruments are being played. It is like it is something more than a "breakup" but more of a harsh reality to whatever is going on. I like this song a lot for the interesting melody and instruments utilized in the song. It sounds like a Klaxon.
A, F#m, C#m from start to finish - a very simple and very effective chord progression and as another poster suggested, quite similar melodically to The Pixies
When I was 18 and this album came out , I spoke no English at all, but this song caught me immediately. The title of the record ''Myths of the near future'' sounded so apocalyptic, this song with that noise in the background that makes me think of sirens and chaos and people buying desperately, reinforced the idea of a catastrophic scenario. The name of it ''it is not over yet'' makes me imagine that the humanity is facing a terrible battle but that it is not over, not yet, not as long as we can fight. That's why the lyrics disappointed me once I learned English. It is just about a break up.
@@Strfkrxo Grace similar to the Pixies? Lol man. Not at all. Grace was Eurodance very far from the Pixies stuff. I don't think Frank Black and Paul Oakenfold play in the same field.
Damn this band is beyond underrated.

maybe the break up was just that bad
The world's music is changing...nothing is the same like one decade ago...is sad
Today's music is soulless
i love this.
Temazo
Definite influence by The Pixies in this track me things. Most noticeably in the singing style, the beat, and the melody.
Osbourne Rudock this song is actually a cover of a band similar to the pixies named Grace
