The media and national media, central government can't see this which happens almost every year either in North , South, middle, East or West sides of Bengal . Everyone can see floods in Kerala and Odisha but not Bengal 😢 I think it's just because of politics . So sad we live in a country with such ministers . For even the last few floods and cyclone Bengal needed and something like 100,000 cr but only got 1,000 cr from central government.

Khanakul is my PS.. I can't believe you actually went there..as people generally went , spoke about Ghatal... Khanakul is always the worst affected.. When the bandh s overflow, it's terrible scene to see two storey houses crumble down.. This time also it happened.. 1 total para got uprooted in Bandar (dhannyaghori) area. And the last flood is lockdown was the worst of all.
Such a Bleak and Bitter moment. Feeling uncherished and sorrow of seeing the unbearable condition of victims of flood. The small kids are not aware of the fact , when they are going to return their home back. Saddened by seeing this ground report that the old man was struggling to find a few of mud to bury his mother. The feeling of estrangement is brutal. Life cannot be so harsh. Good reporting & journalism. What a horrible man made floods situation in Bengal due to released water from DVC? Who will going to take care of this havoc? TMC ruling the state for last 13 big tenure years but neither Ghatal plan implemented nor proper coordination between Bengal Government & DVC. It's only politics are playing between centre & state. Modi Ji know they are facing difficult to getting vote Bank in Bengal, hence treating the issues very casually. Similarly ruling TMC feelings Bengal as their father's property & doing whatever they want but common people are affected. We have seen every year in month of August-September fight started between DVC-Bengal Government but no solution addressed on man made floods. What is the solution of so much rainwater realising without any planning? They just doing blame game. It's very serious, it's should be addressed seriously with proper plan.

It is becoming true now,what the environmental scientists said years before, that , climate change will makes the countries of Africa and India more vulnerable places to live,now we are seeing this with the different parts of india experience the hazards on different time of their monsoon rains.
This is the situation nowadays. The separation between classes is a hard reality today. In general point of view everyone in society has their own importance. none should be above another. Every profession are equal in the society. But when there is crisis in upper section of the society there is always the media press and some capitalist group to sponsor the protest. But when it came for the poor there was no one. That is why there is a bill of 50 lakh in the protest of the doctor which is funded by some hospital but when it is a matter of 5 survival of the poor there is no one. I think that is called the ultimate segregation of society. Even no one in the upper portion is thinking about these poor people.
Kudos for going and covering the story from ground instead lecturing from a high rise of Kolkata. My condolences for the victims caused by such a calamity.

This is so soul-shattering. I have literally nothing to say except for the fact that the Government should have known the weather patterns and put precautional measures in place for the people.
