The very simplest thing on earth in the UK, stewed apples and a crumble of flour and butter and sugar crisped on top - but so yummy. Even more perfect with custard.
And you still eat Marmite... 😞
@@duncreg lol
It's always such a pleasure to watch these men eating something new and tasty. Many of us may see and eat apple crumble or other apple desserts often and don't think about the abundance of great things we have to eat. These good and kind men are teaching us to be more appreciative of what is available to us and to be more thankful. May God bless you all.
As a man that grew up on many crumbles I say mango would be delicious too.
In the UK apple crumble is served with custard.
yep ur right there love it with custard
Love it with clotted cream too 😋
And kidney pie
In the U.S.A., we make the crumble part on top with wheat flour, sugar, butter, rolled oat breakfast cereal and cinnmon. The ingredients are all combined and then crumbled on top of apple, or other fruits and baked, which makes the crumble crispy.
This is exactly the way I make it at home too! My crumble is always the first desert eaten when we have potluck events at church or work! Add in the oats really does make a difference in the crumble texture!
You yanks have to go over the top with everything don’t you 😂
Apple crisp? That's how we do it in our family in Iowa. Usually put some rhubarb in it too :)

I like just about any dessert made with apples. 🍎🍏 I'm glad they enjoyed it. 🙂
It’s funny to see them start eating from the crust end. We would have started at the point and worked back to the crust. So glad they enjoyed it!!! 💜💜💜
Pet peeve here. I really wish the interviewer would answer them when they ask questions on what they are eating instead of letting them speculate incorrectly. If they every wanted to make these items at home they would be very disappointed that it didn’t taste the same. 😢😢
Oh God, now I want apple pie. And I just had an apple fritter last night! But you can never have too many apple dishes. 😁 I'm glad they're getting to try fresh pastries again, like they did last trip. LOL on Sarru and his mango papad, though.
Nice to see they like this apple dish. We also make in a square pan apple dish called "apple crumble". Often the crisp top consists of crushed graham crackers, butter, chopped nutsand a bit of brown sugar. Good video.
This is more of an Apple Pie than Apple crumble. But still good. Served warm or cold is good. Cream, ice cream, custard are yummy with them.
Lovely served warm with vanilla ice cream!
I like seeing them outside of the studio.
Lashings of custard with this….. yum yum😅😅😅😅😅
In some parts of Spain we just bake the apples with sugar and cinnamon on top. Just wash the apples and take out the stick. Bake them until soft. Very simple but very delicious
You guys need to have a hot cup of tea to sip as you eat your apple crumble!👌👌
Do you know the meaning of "an old wives tale"? It means a false belief. Cream is NOT harmful to kids! Belief that cream is harmful to kids is an "old wives tale!"👌👌
I wish they would show them a video of how things are made. Since they are always asking how is this made. Show them a video of making apple pie/crumble example.
I LOVE the way the restaurant is decorated.
They are really experiencing these
foods for the first time and bless them
for their videos and Thank You.
😊
kudoson alwayschoosing the right music
Here is something ironic. These lads have now been to more places and eaten more different foods than many people I know here. :)
Go to New York.
God is an awesome God. God knew beforehand that the villagers would appreciate their opportunity to experience this time in their lives more than the ungrateful people that has been blessed with so much but still unthankful for all their blessings
The juice is in the apple which is then sweetened and thickened as it bakes with the other ingredients. A simple dessert is made by coring the apples, packing the hole with brown sugar mixed with cinnamon and a little nutmeg and raisins topped with a pat of butter, then are baked in an oven (350 F) or slo cooker until sugar is melted and apples are tender. Usually served with ice cream or whipped cream . Whether used in a pie or a crumble or simply baked, it's important to start with a variety that will not turn to mush when baked. There are many varieties considered suitable for baking but those should be over ripe and going soft or pithy.
The music is very distracting,...and weird...😁😁😁 I feel like they're down in the south eating this.
Somebody needs to sort out the violin & banjo playing in the background. 😮
Love apple crumble with hot custard - banging
Aaaand now I want to try mango papad. 🤗
Is there an efficient way to send fan mail to these villagers?
Rheem and saru are back!
much love to all!
A Great British dish
Get these men some custard!
Spring is in full bloom here in Pennsylvania (U.S.)! It's 80 degrees already @12:30 PM. Love apple pie any season! Now throw a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!
Apple crumble originated in England.
Now serve it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream...
I just noticed since I haven't watched the channel much recently, but isn't the channel logo Team Envy?
you shouldve added custard:P
Looks a lot like "dutch apple pie"?
Still, yum!
Sometimes a cake is just a cake and you can use your hands to eat it. ^^
Just grab the delicious apple pies and yum...^^
The music is way too loud, and also the volume level keeps alternating, louder/softer/louder. Very distracting. If it was done to mask ambient noise, I can understand the attempt, but unfortunately the effect made things worse. Just thought I'd mention the effect.
The dish they were served doesn't exactly look like the apple crumble familiar to me, but it did look yummy and clearly tastes like apple to Raeen, and to some extent to Sarru (who detected mango besides apple).
I personally prefer apple crisp, which is very similar to apple crumble, or maybe the same to some folks. I like it better than apple pie!
Anyway, I am glad to see our friends enjoying a cooked, sweetened apple dish with spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove. From other videos here that I've watched, our friends are more used to eating apples out of hand, not cooked. Apples are tasty both ways. Enjoy them!
Where's the cream, or ice cream - or custard??
Vanilla ice cream
Can they be given the receipt for this
What is that? A very thin layer of apple with a crust that s way too thick. But they do try.
I would love to know, have any of them ever tried to make the food they taste when they get home? If so, how did it turn out? It would be amazing if they increased their culinary skills off of this!
Please someone give them the recipe!!!
It shouldn’t be a wet cake, the crumble should be dry and crunchy and the bottom should only be slightly moist.
I believe they are referring to the apples being wet as opposed to a dry cake.
@@j.h.3777 to me the crumbles were a bit wet too. Look how easy the fork goes through the crust and how it deforms.
Pie has a crust that you can buy or make.(bottom layer) The middle layer is probably sugar, apples and cinnamon, maybe butter. The top I am not sure..I love the crumble but never made it!
The crumb is usually flour butter sugar oats and cinnamon.
Why is cream bad?
Crumbles dont have a bottom crust.
This more apple pie than a crumble.
No custard??????
Should show them the film 'American Pie' theyll never eat apple pie again 😂
It is not a cake it is a pie I'm not sure that even the host knows the difference between pie and cake
Apple crumb pie. If they're suppose to be learning why did you not correct them and tell them it's not cake it's pie. Apple crumb pie does have a crust with Crumbs sprinkled on top. We don't serve ours with custard. It's done differently in other places of the world.
That's not apple crumble, apple crumble has no pastry. Apple crumble is just apples at the bottom and a topping of butter and sugar rubbed in flour to bread crumb consistency and put on top and baked until golden brown. It is served with custard!
I've never tried to make an apple crumble, so I looked up the very first recipe thst came up, and to my shock, it had a pastry base. Call me crazy but it seems recipes come in all kinds of variations and that none are the same. I'm going out on a limb here but I bet they are in another country where the U.S apple crumble is drastically different from theirs.
😅 DON'T BE MEAN TO SARRU.
i wish y'all would teach these men some table manners.
that isnt apple crumble!!!
I guess in every video I'm going to have to say this why do they never explain to him what they are serving. That it has a filling it has a crust it has a topping bootleg apple crisp
