The problem with multiculturalism is that different cultures have different values. Some values are incompatible and then there is conflict and problems as it is impossible to find a middle ground that both can accept. You compromise when one thinks you shouldn't hit your wife, while the other thinks you should. One thinks homosexuals should be thrown off the roof and the other thinks they should be allowed to marry and openly show their love. One thinks you should be allowed to have sex with little boys, while the other thinks you shouldn't do that.
These are examples of values that cannot be compromised.
Leftist groups make the fundamental mistake of believing that their values are so fantastically superior that all other cultures will adopt them if only they experience them. They have adopted the old classic arrogant thinking that they are the superior ruling race, knowing everyone else's best interests and holding everyone else to live by their superior values.

If you look historically, multicultural societies are weaker. They have a lot of internal conflicts and almost always end in civil war often with genocide. 8 of the 10 most multicultural societies today are in civil war.
Culturally homogeneous societies are much stronger.

@@niklasmolen4753 some of those countries you cited are not having civil wars. Others had it in the past but the reasons are not because they are multicultural. European countries used to have same problems before they were able to sort themselves out.

Adamson is a Sociologist, not a scholar in Philosophy but yet makes philosophical claims? To make supposedly academic and scientific claims without anything else than an opinion and do so without any expertise in the field (i.e. expertise recognized as such by other recognized scholars in the field) is wreckless, unserious, anti intellectual. Adamson talks much like a charlatan and fake scholar would, tickling the ears of less knowledgeable, already convinced believers in 'his opinion' as true and 'logical'.
    .
The fact that such quasi-intellectual talk is part of a public discussion on such an important topic is very sad. Further more, it indicates that Adamson thinks much higher of himself than he has reason to, which is typical for narcissistic, less intelligent people not knowing the limit of their knowledge and expertise.
    .
As the saying goes: A little knowledge is a dangerous thing... i e. the new woke-right in a nutshell. From the frying pan into the fire of opinion-based alternative facts....
