The.violinist & drummer are OFF THE CHAIN!! George started slow, but ending it with A DEFINITE BANG!! 💘 🎶 🎭Another favorite line: " She's the freak of the week"!!
The funk band ever, went to the funk festival in Los Angeles, California at the Coliseum in 1979 best concert I been to I was a youngin in the 8th. Grade was off the chain, they did the dang thing!!! Still bump all of their music and my classic is Knee Deep until the day I leave this earth!!!
LIVE at the Montreux...THIS is why I bought the DVD...they took their time and "Grooved-da-wheels" off dis especially with Bernie Worrell adding that Classical touch on keys.Rock,Soul & Funk with Multiple Voices & Way-Out Costumes. That's what earned P-Funk the title "Circus Of Freaks"...I LOVE THEM !!! FUNKATEER 'TIL I DIE !
I actually met him in 1997 in Philadelphia and we talked for about 30 minutes. He is very engaging and talk with you all day. But I asked him what is happening with the identity that Parliament had created. He said it is there. He was only kidding himself.
yeah - this is like a condensed history of black music - you can find everything in there ... but maybe for scat - the best i know is Roy Ayers in Can't you see me ...
You know what made Micheal Jackson; Maze and Frankie Beverly; Earth, Wind, and Fire; Steely Dan; and even a few others I have not mentioned. Is that they always delivered the live performance the way listeners fell in love with the record. Parliament really has not been all that good since the early 90's. Not to mention George Clinton did not sing a lot of the parts we recite. A lot of that was Gary Shider, Glen Goins and a few others. But today he sounds horrible.
I think he's voice has gotten messed up, I heard him do some cameos on hip hop recordings and he sounds as rough as he looks. I don't get what he couldn't have employed competent singers and players for live performances like this? As much as I love parliament I wouldn't dare pay to see them live. Booty Collins on the other hand still appears to perform masterfully, to my surprise, he played here in London last year when I never knew about him, I just hope he comes again soon.
George Clinton an American icon! Real talk!
Kudos to the Frontman on his scattin!!" Absolutely loving this!! 💘
"I've.got ants.in my.pants & I need to dance!#" My favorite line!! Legendary! 💘 🎶 💃 😍 🎼 ⛸ 👗
