I don’t own this vacuum but it’s most likely one of my next purchases. The thing that I really like about the Festool system is their tools “quick connect” power cords. You can attach the power cord to the hose and then just swap tool’s without having to re-run a different cord. Combine that with a boom arm and I think it’s going to make my set a lot more efficient.

Great video . I have CT36AC for not travelling with me but i have Ridgid the problem with Ridgid is loud and even with filter and bag the filter gets clogged. The CT26 is going to replace that Ridgid also that i love Festool system. I want it the CT midi but it doesn’t take Bluetooth module so decided it to go with CT26

Great video. Is there a limitation on what you can plug into the front of the vac? Such as can you plug your table saw or miter saw in to that?

I’m sure the limitation is anything that’s 120v/15amps so possibly a miter saw. Maybe a table saw if it’s a smaller job site saw.

@@HeadBroskiWell how many AMPS does the dust extractor pull all on its own? If one were to use a belt sander drawing 8.5 AMPS doesn’t that get added into the equation?

@@HeadBroski I'm not 100% sure about the following but I think with the Festool you can only draw 3.5 amps out of the vacuum with a tool. I have the Hilti, which you can draw up to 11 amps out of the vacuum with a tool - of course to draw the max 11 amps you would need the vac to be plugged into a 20 amp receptacle. If plugged into a 15 amp receptacle, I suppose you could draw up to 6 amps out of the vac with a tool.

The adjustable opening on the hose handle is to release suction at the end of the hose if you suck up something too large and it gets clogged.

I’ve been looking at the midi. It comes with Bluetooth and is less money. Do you think the smaller capacity is a problem?

The main difference is the capacity. The motors are supposed to be the same. I have the midi, and I use the separator and it works great. I use it with a Makita track saw, the Domino, and their Rotex RO 150 sander. I do use the larger diameter, the 36mm hose, with the track saw. But man, the small amount of dust that I see now is marvelous.

I have a Makita track saw, also. Are you using one of the CT extractors with yours, and with which size hose and what adapter is required to connect it?
