I have 3 L333s and they are breeding right now. The first fry I spotted was fully formed larger than the ones on your video. I run my tank at 80 degrees. I have to clean 2x a week because algae grows much faster at 80 degrees. At the moment I am not using a breeding box. Just leaving them in the cave.
@@kalebhope2808 so my 3 had 7 babies. So I have 10 of them now in a 75 gal aquarium with about a dozen Tiger Barbs. I think 3 of them are super yellows, brighter yellow. The others are more off white. The offspring are full size now so I can’t differentiate the originals. At the moment I need to clean my canister. Tank has been dirtier than normal, and I can tell canister flow is slower. I made a pleco cave stacked pyramid and they seem to like that.
Informative video. Watch out for the high levels of fungi developing in your tank and breeder box. Syphon out un eated feeds or add sterbai Or high temp corydoras. IAL or other anti fungal medication will keep these breakouts under control.
How hard are L333/Hypans to breed in comparison to ancistrus. I've gotten the harder ones like Wabenmuster and L411 to spawn but I'm admittedly nervous to try Hypancistrus.
I think difficulty isn't really the issue. As long as you have a good ratio of males to females, caves the right size, and a stable and safe environment, they'll spawn for you. Bristlenose just spawn much more frequently and routinely.
I have 6 333s and 5 leopard frogs in a 55 gallon tank do you think I should put a divider and put each type on their own side? Or keep them all together?
How big is the tank? I have 7, 4-5” L333 golds in a 60 gallon breeder. Is it too big for them? They often roam around everywhere, but I wonder if they were in a smaller 40 breeder for example, they would find each other easier.
My wild pair first batch they had 32 but 1 died at day 28 couldn't see what was wrong with it 6 weeks on I now have more wrigglers this time they I have 38 did have 39 but 1 died today think they are day or 2 more older than as some getting side fins coming don't normally see them forming untill the wrigglers are 4 odd days old
Mine are breeding about 4-5 years old. You have to respect this fish for what it is. Those early years you have to accept that they hide a lot and you don’t see them much. They need warmer water and it helps to clean 10-20% water 2x a week. Helps to have diverse pleco food with mix of algae and proteins. A bit high maintenance but very rewarding when they get bigger and more active.

Could you please make a care video for l333? I’ve bought 6 a few days back and would love to see how you care for them.
Thankyou

@@FoisyAquatics Noted. Thanks for the advise.
@@FoisyAquatics could you let me know what ratio you advise?
Cool video Thanks
So how big was this breeding tank for the 3 males and 1 female? They got along fine?
20g long - they got along ok. I usually only do 4 to 5 fish in the 20G tanks.

Tough to say, be I would go with a divider!
Ok thanks for the reply!

Also, temp???

how old would you say your plecos are? When do they usually lay theirs first eggs, at what age?
Unfortunately that is a question I can't accurately answer as I have never raised one from from to breeding age

What color were the eggs,. Is the color gray?
How often do they lay eggs?!
What size tank do you use? and how pleco do you have?
20G long tanks, each with 4-6 plecos
What is your tank size heat, ph, tds
👍👍👍Great video. But King Tiger Pleco - L066. L333 is Maze Zebra Pleco...
Nice! How often are you doing water changes for the fry tank and how much percentage?
75% weekly on an auto drip system
💪
How you tell a male between a female here by sight
Males are have much more hair and typically a slimmer profile
Pleco 😩
