I've come here to support Maestro Jon Lord in his fight against cancer!
Who's with me?
Me,cause IM fighting it too !
@@allensmith4355wish you well mate
@@allensmith4355Keep fighting Brother 🙏🏻🇬🇧
Me cause I know so many love ones who keep the fight alive, it’s not ever easy but it’s always worth the fight and remising is a real hope, my wife of 44 years is six years breast cancer survivor it’s possible.
Dp forever, big health to Lord!
Jason must've been in heaven. To be part of this project that involves so many legendary musicians.
This is the very definition of what a supergroup is.
I am a simple man.
I see Tony Iommi, i like it.
That’s not why your are simple
It's really that simple.
I love him and a;ways had his goatee
When I was a teen, the younger people were cooler than the elders. Now it's the other way around.
coz youre still the same ppl lol
Thats what you think, oldtimer! *rides away on a hoverboard while drinking capri sun*
So you always are cool. You are the center of Universe.
@james Yes, they are rapers and criticize the hippies that they were the young people of the past. Now, you see elderly people enjoying rock and roll and the image we had from the 70's that elderly opposed to the hippie movement and sent some of this elderly to fight to Vietnam. I have that fair that they say TURN OFF THAT MUSIC BECAUSE IT IS NOISY. Now on the contrary, they sat to turn it louder and they enjoy bands as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and also Judas Priest.
Don't forget about Megadeth and Metal Church, they are still making music.
Tony Iommi: Still relevant more than 40 years later
And yet another 13 years later Tony is relevant.
And the rythem section! Was this even with Roger Glover? They didn't show the bass and on phone I don't hear him.
🚀🏴☠️🎸
Iommi and Gillan make a great team. I've always thought that Born Again was a great album. What a great collection of talent on this song.
Not just the talent. The song is amazing itself...
Indeed!!!
Iommi is a great song writer..and plays well too..
A combination of Deep Purple and Black Sabbath.
@@cbk222 One of the best guitarist in rock history.
Great Jon lord, miss you.
This is Metal in its purest form. Without the talents of the majority of the guys in this band, what you call Metal wouldnt exist.
But it's not metal. They could turn it into any style, if needed. It's just how it feels best when you *can* make those amplifiers sing along.
🚀🏴☠️🎸
I just discovered this. Excellent.
Just found this morning freaking killer song
me2
Ian may not have the range he once did, but he still has that beautiful, unmistakable voice
Damn, Iommi sounds so good...Not to mention Gillan and Lord...
Scott Woods and nicko, he’s great!!!
So good to hear Jason's bass. Gives such a power to the song.
Flawless bass line.
Iommi, Gillan, Lord & Nicko - LEGENDS!!!
The Big 3
Jason too
Gillan might not be able to scream like he used to (which is completely understandable) but his voice barely changed a thing and that’s so cool I admire him so much for that, his voice is amazing
I start to love Tony and Gillan in 1970 and I'm still here 🤟🏻
I’d love to see them so old born again tracks
Along with TYA, Gallagher, UFO, DP, Steppenwolf, Mountain, Grand Funk...no room for Megadeath and Pearl Jam bands in there when you came from that especial era.
I've never heard Nicko McBrain outside of the maiden crew.
This gives me a new perspective of him but confirms my suspicions that he is one of the best drummers
Stanton Nicko Mcbrain used to play drums for Pat Travers back in the 70s and if you get on here and type in Pat Travers live or just Pat Travers with Nicko Mcbrain it should come up ! Nicko has done some session work as well in the studio many years ago he said so yeah he's an accomplished drummer one of the very few who for years would only use 1 kick drum instead of the double kick that most had used through the late 70s into the late 80s ! Seen him with Maiden several times going back to the early 80s and always liked his style of playing !
Nikko even plays in an Iron Maiden cover band...when he's not playing in iron Maiden.
Nicko was in Trust, French punk metal band, before he joined Maiden to replace Clive Burr and later Clive join in Trust. What a coincident! 😂
@@peteloomis8456
Yes Nicko is The Best 👌🔥💪
@@peteloomis8456 when playing with the one pedal, certain speed(especially he was in Maiden) is what he does.
and I am thankful to Gillan, Iommy and others for building musical school in my country.
It's like Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Metallica and Iron Maiden all together!
Not really. Nicko isn't Iron Maiden, just a weak substitute for Clive Burr...
Scott Woods I've always been a bigger fan of Clive Burr but there's no denying Nicko's legacy with Iron Maiden. He is the eponymous Iron Maiden drummer regardless of our personal preferences.
And H.I.M!!!!
Who cares!!
Ian Gillan was Black Sabbath's vocalist for one album, Born Again, released in 1983. Some of my favorite Sabbath.
This sounds much like that.
All legend all God all master all Godfather 🤘🤘
THE MIGHTY LORD OF KEYBOARDS WILL LIVE FOREVER IN OUR HEARTS AND SOULS
Rest in peace Jon Lord. A true inspiration to rock music. Obviously God needed help with the keyboard!
I agree, I vote YES. This song was a gift, the way it came together doesn't matter, its a gift.
Tony Iommi's still a master on that guitar
I'm never going to stop coming back to this.
Here I am again...
Ian Gillan is incredible. "Perfect Strangers" I saw on tour & that LP was the soundtrack (along with Rush "Moving Pictures") of my senior year in HS - almost 40 years ago. Tony Iommi's guitar has been worshiped by me and friends for as long as can be remembered. There is no better 'riff' creator on the planet IMNTBHO than Tony.
Every single one of them is a true master of his art. What a masterpiece!
RIP Jon Lord, Some great final work
Amen! R.I.P... one of the early pioneers of this genre of music. Key in the sound of Purple.
Wow, fantastic song! Mr. Iommi is a master. I loved the solo.
What A masterpiece . Has the great hook from Tony . & Tony Martin's vocals are spectacular. GEEZER didn't want this to be a BLACK SABBATH CD. HE WANTED TO BE A SUPER GROUP. SORRY ITS 100% SABBATH.
It's Ian Gillan.
Dp and Sabbath are both greatest111!)))
Ian Gillan is the vocalist 🎉
I fucking love this track,my most favorite musicians, all in one place. This is how the big boys do it.
"How the Big Boys Do It"...exactly right. Hats Off...
Black to purple or purple the black 🖤 Ian Gillan and Glenn Hughes they could take over on the Tony iommi.... The music the sound of their voices fit in so... Natural just like Ozzy and whoever you want to say that played in jammed together
How in God's green earth did this never become a fucking big hit?
because people would not honor this, let's be glad that only those who apreciate can reach for this masterpiece
Well, I'm a fan of pretty much everybody playing on this, but to suggest it should've been a big hit is probably a stretch. It's good, no doubt. A big hit, no.
@@Pold et fumus in tobas!
Because now a days people like SHIT music!
because it's real music and completely in contrast to everything the "modern music scene" offers 🤘🤘
Love this guitar so much
Being a huge Sabbath, Purple, Maiden and Metallica fan I'm a bit shocked I just became aware of this through Iommi's autobiography (which was a decent read, btw). This song is great! Jon Lord's keyboards are a bit drowned out by the guitars, but it's still unmistakenly 'The Beast' at work!
What reunion !!!
Very powerful song. Guitars vocals, this mesmerizing Tonys riff. God Bless you Jon.
It’s great to see Iommi and Gillian working together. Born Again-for my money-ranks as one of the top 3 greatest heavy metal albums of all time. This-of course-sounds nothing like Born Again material-but it’s great to see these two icons grinding it out.
solo starts, a chill comes through my whole spine! Iommi rules!
What else can you ask for? 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻long live metal
More please!!! They only made two new songs for this charity recording.
Nicko McBrain power drumming on this song 💪👌👏
Fucking awesome. End of story. Ian - Wow - the lineup is so legend. I grew up listening to all these guys. Legends.
This video needs more views that it has! This song is amazing. HIM, Metallica, Deep Purple, Black Sabbath and Iron Maiden in one band? Sounds pretty effin' awesome to me!
This group could do a Milli Vanilli song and make it cool!
Wow...Gillian sounds so great...Born Again...best Sabbath album
Godzilla Tagged another time with King Kong ;) but those time we got more Monsters than only Iommi and Gillan, we got Deep Purple,Black Sabbath,Iron Maiden and Metallica in one place, and this sound great. Sad that those Giants of music slowly finish their era of power.
I spend a lot of time listening to music, but somehow I missed this collaboration. Some of our favorite players from different groups worked on this piece. I think Ian Gillan really shined on it as his vocals were concise, and within his natural range. Cool to see Jason Newsted getting together with some of the greatest of the greats on this.
A living, legends!! Greecce,, loves. You!!❤
I can’t believe I never heard this song!!!!
For real bro.. The metal Godfather did a song promoting his cologne a while back. I think "A Hint of Dark" was the name. Not sure..
Yeah he did this with Ian Gillan quite a few years ago
If you buy that album there's also three songs on there that Tony did with Glenn Hughes
@@mikekeeler6362 Thanks.. Who is the guitarist he worked with on "Scent of Dark", promoting his cologne.
@@chrisherrera3042 not sure who the other guitar player was but I know Lawrence cottle who played on headless cross album for him also played bass on that one song scent of dark
When I heard there was a collaboration between Tony Iommi and Ian Gillan I knew it'd be really cool, but I never expected this... This is beyond badass!!!!
God bless Jon Lord
RIP Brother in rock
Metal Icons on this song💎🔥👌
Armenia and Armenians appreciate what you do and did for us !! Thanks!
What a total joy to stumble on this collaboration!! All legends in the biz! Happy touring retirement Nicko

Love me some Black Purple 😊
Woah this song is a gem
I hope Iommi pulls through and gets rid of the cancer. Great guitarist.
OK...I fucking love these guys! They taught me heavy music when I was a kid (I'm 51). Nikko McBrain is perfect! Jon Lord...God love you, sir. Ian...you taught me how to sing. Tony...you are the Godfather of heavy metal guitar! Jason...just glad you came back. This is great music! Thanks!
Toni Iommi a guitar god and Ian Gillan,an old BS member, make
good music, heavy Metal at ITS best.
Can Not believe that Ian sings so
perfect. All thumbs up for this song.
Gos bless you for this.
R.I.P John ,the God of Rock bless you
John knows God Almighty and the Rock, Jesus Christ...
niiiice ..still got that sound man!! I love IT!!
The Best of the Best!!!! Gillan Forever!!!!
Amazing!
Again and again Armenia is grateful to YOU!!!
Dinossaurs on studio: Heavy and fantastic!
i was also aw struck!!! have not heard anything from ian......in many yeras,,,,,and to see all the other old timers having a good time is awsome!!....jason is still pretty young....i would give ANYTHING to play with these guys!!!! jason should be soooo thankful to play with them.......such an honer!!
All the guys I almost worshipped when I was a teenager together in one lineup. Man, this doesn't happen everyday. Good song, good vibe. Like it!
alll genius,,,,great fusion ,,,,i loved this song,,,,,,,,rock never die,,,legend never die,,,,
This is why Rock and Metal beats everything
Just got the news from Bill Ward about Jon Lord's passing. This single is amazing. I wish there could have been a full album. RIP Jon. You cannot be replaced.
Es increible lo que se siente al ver y escuchar estos genios.siempre los llevaremos eternamente en nuestras almas .excelentes
Now that is what I call a f'n super band!!
Самый Высший из Всех,!!!!
The Best Rock song written/performed by The Best All Star line-up of All Time, EVER!!! Period!!! It just simply doesn’t get ANY BETTER than this!! I’ve literally listened to it 100s of times and it keeps getting better and better and better every single time!!! Yeah!
Great to see so many legends together. Looks like they had a blast.
This is so fucking awesome!!!! I just found this! These guys are grandfathers now - literally, and they look like it, and yet they're jamming the best heavy metal you can imagine. If I believed in a god, it would be Tony Iommi.
Current Deep Purple with old members of Deep Purple and friends did a concert for Jon Lord called "Celebrating Jon Lord". I have got the impression that not too many people know about it. Have it a look. There are some excellt performances on it by all kinds!
Thanks I'll check it out...yeah anything but Country and Kid Pop gets mysteriously unexposed by the music industry. Sinful...
I had the pleasure of being there. It was a wonderful night and an excellent way to say goodbye to Jon. I have the cd in my car for singing to !
@@andrewludlow7477 I was there too. I saw Purple only once - in 1974. I have the box set of that Albert Hall gig. Just a shame to have to wait so long for DP's set.
John - I've told so many people how 'I cut my teeth" listening to you as a keyboard player - you were my inspiration when music teachers wouldn't get it. C3. Leslie. I still have neither! I just recorded a demo last night with an organ solo which was labelled in Logic as 'For John' - because I'd just heard, but it wasn't good enough :) I'll have another crack tomorrow and hope you taught me something, not far short of everything RIP old friend.
This track is so inspiring! They all are great every and together! thanks for Posting!
I only have 1 word for these man to say (as a musician / drummer.. !!!..Epic..!!😎💪
that gitar solo near the end ....lovely
One of my favorite songs ever !!!
man this old dude rock the shit out of my mind !!!
most of the greatest music was written by these people so under rated like so many others
This clip is highly addictive.
So badass
Nicko McBrain and Jason Newsted are the time marker here. 🤟
Ian Gillan met Tony Iommi, Nicko McBrain and Jon Lord, Mikko Lindström from HIM and Jason Newsted at a studio in London to finish recording a song called ‘Out of my Mind’, which was released 6th May 2011. This is for the benefit of the music school to be built in Gyumri, Armenia - a project Ian Gillan has been working on with others since his concerts in Yerevan (17-20 May 1990)
ЕЕЕЕЕЕ,мурашки по коже!!!!!!!!!!! Спасибо!!!
can never stop listening to music like this. Feel good...
Jeezas what a line up. This will always be part of my Playlist had it 6 years now. Can't get enough. All big legends making music together what more would you want
I think God got it right from his point of view. Who would you rather listen to?
I say this with my tongue firmly in my cheek.
Jon Lord is and always will be a hero of mine. RIP Jon.
True Masters of their craft, Tony Iommi, Ian Gillan and John Lord (who passed away in 2012). Iommi and Gillan were together on the Black Sabbath album "Born Again" which was hail as one of Sabbaths worst undertakings. I think there was some great music on the album but it was terribly mixed and produced. If you listen to the re=mastered version of the album it is unbelievably good.
Just heard Jon Lord passed away. I only discovered this song yesterday. What an amazing gift.
Black Purple?
+jrock2264 or a Deep Sabbath
+jrock2264 Deep SabbathIronMetall
+jrock2264 Purple Iron Sabbathallica
,,, Purple Black :)
Black Iron Purple
Great thing to see two of my heroes, Mikko Lindström and Tony Iommi working together. Proud to be Finn. Ha!
Great song with heroes! The end sounds like a typical iron maiden song ending
...one of my favorite tunes!🔥💥👊
You forget that Tony also called his son in Law and guitarist from the band HIM Linde Lindström to play along.
This is a great group of legends together, a shame that it only stayed with this one track.
Maybe come back once more with Don Airey behind the keys to make a fitting tribute to the great Jon Lord.
Who's him just kidding
If Tony and Ian do a solo project together, they might get Don in - apart from being in Deep Purple these days, Don has played for Black Sabbath before - he played all the keyboards on the Never Say Die album.
Это шедэврально!!! Дип Пепл и Блек Саббат в одном флаконе!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
