Can you please make a tutorial for the top?? 🥺🥺❤️
It's the Juliana Corset Dress! But instead of sewing it to the skirt, I just finished the bottom with bias binding. The steps are the same!
Love it! You are so talented and make sewing look so approachable. I always learn so much from you. Can’t wait to see what you make next!
I love it so much! Also could you make something with linen material for this summer? 🥺🥺
Pls can you do a video of your sewing room and equipment you use in sewing with the types of machine you use plssss because I want to buy
12:35 a great alternative if you don't want to wait for a supply or don't want to buy anything is to use a large safety pin or other type of contraption with a pin/barrette you can secure to the elastic
Such a fun project! The fabric is gorgeous 😍 And it looks great on you! Especially with the top. Thanks for the how-to on the skirt!
PS Would love to hear the story about how you got the last bits. 😂 The search can be so stressful!
Thank you so much, my dear ❤️
I got lucky because the fabric had the name of the manufacturer written on it, so I Googled their website. But it wasn't an online store. It was only a portfolio website of their prints! I guess so other stores could order big quantities to resell. But they had a phone number there. I called, and it turns out they also had a small physical store in another state and some leftovers of it still! Not even a full roll anymore, just some cuts. I asked if they could send it to me, I transferred them the money and they sent it to my house! At least it was cheaper this way, too.
@@coralinestreet Wow! What a journey. I’m glad you were able to get the last bits of it. 😊
Ficou lindo , o modelo e o tecido são simplesmente maravilhosos!❤
I love it too
Love this video❤. Which materials would you recommend to use?
Hi! I love your tutorials, and this is kind of a crazy request but house of CB made a dress called the Elizabeth dress and it is so beautiful but I have no idea how to construct something like that.. would you be interested in recreating it like you did with the cottage core dress?
It's a gorgeous dress! From what I've seen, the bodice could be hacked from the Rose Cafe Bustier Dress pattern from Daria. But you'd have to extend the bottom so it covers more of your waist. Maybe following the same steps I took with the Corset dress? And the skirt is gathered.
I'm explaining it like this because I'm not sure if I'll be able to make a video on it. But if you need more help you can send me an email!
Could I use a ruffler foot, or a gathering presser foot instead of doing the pulling of the threads? Cause I would like to make the gathers evenly spaced.
Pls am trying to get the free pattern but it not working am using my phone to do it. It not going at all pls put me true I don't know how to get the free pattern
So I don't buy what I will not use plss
Love this video! I've wanted to make a skirt exactly like this! :D Did you use elastic thread on the waistband (like Guetermann Maraflex), and for sewing through the elastic piece, so it doesn't snap when you stretch the skirt to put it on? Or did you use a zig zag stitch with polyester/ cotton thread? Thank you :)
I'm glad you liked it, my dear! I fully stretched the elastic while stitching on top, so using regular thread wasn't a problem.
The top would look cool with some light wash wide-leg jeans, too. Beautiful outfit pieces 👍🏻👍🏻
Yes!!!! I just don't have any low waisted pair of jeans, but that's the cool part of making it separately
