Believe me brother if there is layoff, it could only be India. Technical positions in good financial institutions in USA are grappling with the worst time for not been able to fill those positions. I have a friends who is holding 4 job offers at moment on work visa and still been asked for more interviews.

I interviewed for SDE2 and cleared all 4 rounds (test + 2 technical + 1 hm) but the company put my profile on hold after hr round. The Hr said they stopped hiring for SDE2 in July 2022.

Gave an interview in DP world, wasn't a great experience. The behaviour of the panel was very very casual and disrespectful. Loads of back ground noise, interviewer getting up and leaving seat to grab coffee and another making hand gestures to other guys on the floor amid me answering questions and then asking me the same question over again. I'm like, why don't you go to the conference room and take the call? The interviewers were late by 10 mins. Very unprofessional behaviour. Sorry to say, I'll not work for such company ever where your manager doesn't have basic interviewing etiquettes.
90k+ employees includes people working as cargo operators etc. The number of software engineers at DP World are less than 500 in number afik and they are expanding rn.
