Knitters are the best people :) In this video I share 3 new finished objects, a WIP (which I am LOVING but maybe wasn't the best choice for travelling...), some sock yarn, and chatting about my time solo travelling.

I love the idea of that WIP 2 ways-3/4 sleeves and no sleeves!
I'm looking forward to making a 3/4 sleeve version this autumn!
I still remember your very first knit. Your mom was so proud of you. :) I can still see the pictures in her blog post. You were so young. I could only hope to have a daughter like that too. Not too long after, your first design was there. Still remember those pictures too. ❤️ You've come such a long way since then. You grew up before the eyes of the Jolihouse readers. I feel as proud of you as your mom was on her blog. ❤️
I can't explain how much it means to me that you've followed me for so long! It really does feel like I grew up alongside the blog - I'm so grateful that I found my 'thing' so young and had the opportunity to run with it, and here I am today! Thank you so much for following for such a long time - I hope I can continue to make you proud ♥ Sending big love!
@@lilykatemakes8358 After all that time, you are one of the "kids down the street". I'm often surprised by how fast time goes. Many thanks to your mom to guide you on your amazing path back in the days. You're an inspiration to many young women.
Your designs are absolutely stunning. I love how you add such a nice modern flair to a traditional craft. Your new design is absolutely gorgeous. Adding sleeve options is a brilliant idea!!!! Safe travels❤️
Thank you so much! I think I've decided to leave this version short sleeved, then make another with longer sleeves later :)
Loved Amsterdam so much! The Oud West neighborhood was my favorite- definitely check out Foodhallen. We also went to a small place called Holy Ravioli which was great! The Van Gogh museum was also one of the best I’ve been to!
I'm so excited for Amsterdam! I'll add those to my list 😃
So happy you are enjoying Austria so much! I hope Vienna is fun as well. If you liked the countryside (and the mountains?) you should come to Innsbruck next 😀
I absolutely loved it! Will definitely add Innsbruck to the list :) I visited the Salzkammergut area a few years ago and LOVED it!
@@lilykatemakes8358 just holler if you are planning to come :-D I am happy to be your guide.
Here from a “Friend To Knit With” Leslie shared how much She adores you! 😉🌸🎶
ah thanks for stopping by! I love Leslie's podcast and blog, I'm so happy to have known her for years!
The white top is sooo good!! Really curious to see how it turns out :) and I'm waiting for the pattern release of the Upwards Top, looks like a great summer knit!
Thank you! I've worn the white one loads already since filming this 😁 Just a couple more weeks for the Upwards Top!
A couple of recommendations for yarn shops in Amsterdam are Stephen & Penelope, and Hooks & Yarn (really near to Westerpark). Theres also a Thursday Knitters of Amsterdam Knitnight at the OBA central library, and Knit in public 11th June picnic in Westerpark. It'd be cool to meet you!
It sounds and looks like from the photos I saw that you had a great time in Austria. I missed Dolly in this episode though. 😉
I really did! Haha Dolly has joined me on roadtrips (she sits in the passenger seat😅) but a plane ride might be a step too far 😉
Ugh! 😍 that white top is so beautiful… very Egyptian. I love it!
thanks Wendy! I hadn't thought of that but now you point it out, it really is!
Love your hair!! I saw your Austria photos - such a beautiful place. I was so excited when i saw you had released new pattern designs.
thank you so much! It really is so beautiful here :)
You've inspired me to pull out my TOTIW Crop I made last year, love it for summer. Have your tried soaking that tank in vinegar? I know that works for the color fastness of dark jeans, maybe it would work for that yarn? Super cute tank though!
ah yay! Have to give the older knits as much love as the new ones 😁 If the tank was just navy then I'd try soaking it, but since the edgings and speckles are white, I'd be worried that the colour would run even more and they'd become dark blue - they're already not as white as they were, after just a quick dip! Thank you 😁
Gorgeous new designs! Happy travels 😀
thank you very much!
Can’t wait for that cotton/mohair sweater pattern to come out. Gorgeous. I would wear with just below elbow sleeves.
I've almost finished knitting my version so the pattern hopefully won't be long! I think I'll add a 3/4 sleeve option at a later date :)
Hi there, when you go to Vienna and Amsterdam, could you look out for yarns that are for a needle size, 2.50 mm to 3.50mm needle size, I think it’s sock yarn or sports weight, a very smooth even yarn. Looking for hundred grams skeins. I would suggest only yarns you have looked at, I think seeing the yarns, can give an idea on quality. Thanks for the video, much appreciated.
can you share how you did such a long verticle stripe, carry floats? it looks like it's just a one or two stitch verticle stripe - not something you see very often.
Lik eit!total fantastic ~ friend,;)
