When you talk about Best and worst practicies it reminds me a good programing course and I find it very relaxing.
    Thank You so much

I've heard from people who put the series playlist on when they go to bed and it helps them fall asleep. So, whether it's helping people with information, or just helping people relax, I'm glad it's helping. :)

Chock full of useful tips. Even an old timer like me learned some great ideas. Well done, and thank you.

The best way of leveling around starter base I have found is to get on top of base and spin around in concentric circles. I normally go to one of the poles north/ south and build on top of the gate for the 24 hour sunlight. A pillar built at the center of the top can allow you to place platforms vertically for solar panels. I separate power generation from storage.

I feel you sort of neglected advanced base building tips. Like relocating your base to be nearby a monument. And doing that on every newly visited planet, so you can fast travel through the eye in the sky and end up right in your base where all the goodies are located. It can be quite handy to know that it's a few clicks to a planet with whatever resource you desire in the endgame.
Another useful one is a main bus system where you have all your production facilities in a long line next to each other, with additional platform for assorted goods behind that, and opposite of your production, have rows of storage containers. If they're each on a platform A, you can have them set to output, and every resource you have collected is but a click away, and the production facilities are just a reach from there as well. You can leave room for rovers between them and quickly off load. Scrap, research and power can be elsewhere as those are low maintenance.
And honestly, since the addition of the treetaps there is no power solution that beats organic into carbon into generators. 8 trees can produce upwards of a 150 power units. Day and night, on every planet.

There are two "extras" that go along with the base-building course, and they do cover remote bases and more advanced base building tips.
As far as building a base right next to a Gateway Chamber (I think that's what you meant by monument) to utilize the Gateway Fast Travel Network (eye in the sky?), it's not a bad idea. But, there a scores of very good base locations, all serving different functions, so it simply is not possible to include them all. That is why this is more of a general, best practices course that should help someone build out a solid main base no matter where they decide to place it. It is also focused on Sylva because the courses follow a natural progression, and your first base will almost always be on Sylva (custom games excluded), so it was important to demonstrate how to build out and expand that first base.
But, it always comes down to preference. Personally, I avoid generators because of the noise. Even when they are some distance from my production area, should I need to go where my power production is, the deafening sound of several generators running at once is something I simply do not want to experience. Remember, there is not one single "right" solution. If someone is having fun, they are doing it right.
