Little girls usually need no darts unless they have curves. Darts are to help shape a square or rectangle. If there are no curves there is no need for darts. I hope that helps.
If you placed no zip in this dress, why did you add the zipper allowance? Before learning more I thought this was a great tutorial but honestly so much information isn’t shared making this confusing. You made adjustments but never explaining why. No one could follow these instructions to make this dress unless they are already experienced.
These videos be click bait. You said you wasn’t going to sew the keyhole until you added a collar. But then you said you sewed the keyhole which we didn’t see you do, nor did you add a zipper.

She calls it trimming the seam allowances but was she has to cut is all that extra fabric that was added for no reason at all. She also added a collar but didn’t share how. Does the collar button close or does this woven dress slip over the little girls head? If that’s the case the measurements didn’t allow for that.

Watch again dear. Zipper allowance was added. The back bodice was cut b4 the front.
