Fun fact: Krupp is still around these days. The name is from a very influential 400 year old German family dynasty, that have been very successful in the weapon and steel manufacturing business. They merged with Thyssen AG in 1999, now going by the name Thyssen-Krupp. I used to work for a company that built shipping containers and Thyssen-Krupp were our main steel supplier, pretty cool to think about.

Probably comparable to the M-56 Scorpion, most likely better than a Sturmtiger. Considering the PAK 43 is in essence a trailed gun much lighter than even the Waffentrager, I imagine it's all down to how much ground you're able to disperse recoil in. Still, good thing the Panzer 38 suspension design was so tough!

MK stands for Machinenkanone, not "Mark" 9:34 At least one Kugelblitz saw combat in Berlin. It was knocked out on the intersection of Potsdamer Straße and Bülowstraße, by the U-bahnhof. A photo was taken of the wreck with three Russians and one Western Allied soldier on July 11th, 1945. (Hillary Louis Doyle confirms this is a Kugelblitz, as the front hull above the driver's position is level with the engine deck, on the regular Panzer IV this area was sloped slightly. Google the above details and I'm sure you can find the photo) 11:58 No, it wasn't. 12:10 E-50 was a medium tank. It shared a hull design with the E-75, which was the heavy tank. They would have replaced the Panther and Tiger II respectively. 12:21 The E-100 was planned to mount either a 15cm or 17cm gun. (Panzertracts 6-3) The idea that it would have mounted a 12,8cm gun is conjecture based on the idea Germany was trying to finish the hull as quickly as possible in the dire late-war situation with a Maus turret. According to Gerd Stieler von Heydekampf in one of the BIOS reports (Interrogation report XXVII-47 I believe) the E-100's gun was changed to a 10,5cm cannon due to the more powerful engine not being available and having to use the Tiger II engine instead. I have not been able to confirm this claim but it should be considered as it comes from the head of the Panzerkommission. 14:20 I believe the number was 12, but I don't have a source in front of me to confirm this. 16:15 This is a Sd.Kfz.300 Minenräumwagen B I, it is not related to the Sd.Kfz.301 schwerer Ladungsträger Borgward B IV 18:34 This is the Sd.Kfz.300 Minenräumwagen B II "Ente", again, not related to the B IV

the Jagpanzer 38(t) is called a Hetzer in the memoirs of atleast some german soldiers. while it was never officially called the Hetzer, it is possible (according to atleast some historians) that is was an unofficial nick name (intended to be also used by the E-10), it is also possible that these soldiers picked up the name later and used it as it was recognized (what Hillary thinks) which may be true but we don't have any proof of this (ie it may or may not have been known to the soldiers during ww2 as the Hetzer)
Because you are the first person with a channel that I'VE heard that doesn't beg a million times for me to hit like, subscribe and comment, I'm gonn get all up in ya vids! Cheers yo As if people don't know what to do on youtube. P.s love old war memorabilia and stories, good stuff
Many love the Panther and Tiger, but I honestly love the Waffenträger and Hetzer. They do not only look good but were probably more needed than all the German heavies...
MK stands for Maschinen Kanone. Germans use that for automatic, rapid fire weapons 20mm and above. BK is Bordkanone. Term is still used in say the MK27 / BK27 revolver canon
I think it'd be fine at BR1-3, I misspoke when it came to a meme vehicle. It'd definitely be a meme/derpy vehicle. But I think it could do alright as a quick moving AT rocket vehicle, perhaps like a smaller version of the lower-tier german rocket half-track (Can't remember what it's called)
"the borgward 4 wan an ammunation transporter or is it?" *BOI* "maybe is a giant remote control mine detonator" "now it's a goliath tracked mine" *BOOIIIII* "NOPE now someone strapped 6 panzrerschreck to it and make it an anti-tank gun" *BOI AGAIN*
Would love to see the two other Waffentragers in warthunder, as well as a few of the E series (I know gayjin is against blueprint/uncompleted tanks but lets be honest fi it werent for blueprints the germans wouldnt have half their tanks and the soviets wouldnt have any heavy tanks past the IS-2, not to mention the surplus of event vehicles that were untested or even unfinished prototypes). Unfortunately the cancerous plane spam makes thin skinned and open vehicles completely useless these days. Even low tier TDs are rare past 2.3 due to the spam of planes.
I would also like to see many of the tanks in this vid in wt and maybe ... GETING RID OF THE GERMAND AND RUSSIAN P-47s bc that shit never happened and it’s hella annoying
Don't, don't wish for that. That's the cancer that's killing WoT. OP paper tanks that wouldn't have ever worked as intended in real life. The E series is the absolute worst of them, either undetectable sniper Porsches (e25) or, one shot doom cannons with auto bounce sides (e100.) By giving players this fan service they destroyed their game. So, be careful what you wish for.
Cool video. I think that since this one is mostly German tanks, you should make a video with some vehicles from other nations. The video was actually really interesting and I think if you made another one it would be really cool!

(Hillary Louis Doyle confirms this is a Kugelblitz, as the front hull above the driver's position is level with the engine deck, on the regular Panzer IV this area was sloped slightly. Google the above details and I'm sure you can find the photo)
11:58 No, it wasn't.
16:15 This is a Sd.Kfz.300 Minenräumwagen B I, it is not related to the Sd.Kfz.301 schwerer Ladungsträger Borgward B IV
18:34 This is the Sd.Kfz.300 Minenräumwagen B II "Ente", again, not related to the B IV
Hunter12396
very nice research , is it possible to notify gaijin about the tanks they missed (the one in the video) and should add them for more of a profit...
Hunter12396 Damn
Almost all those tanks are already on the research and premium-buy tree.
@LeadFaun world of tanks developers are like "HeY lEtS pUt In sOmEtHinG tHaT wAsNT mAdE sO wE cAn "bAlAnCe" It WeLl To FiT wItH oThEr _Historically accurate_ TanKs"
the Jagpanzer 38(t) is called a Hetzer in the memoirs of atleast some german soldiers. while it was never officially called the Hetzer, it is possible (according to atleast some historians) that is was an unofficial nick name (intended to be also used by the E-10), it is also possible that these soldiers picked up the name later and used it as it was recognized (what Hillary thinks) which may be true but we don't have any proof of this (ie it may or may not have been known to the soldiers during ww2 as the Hetzer)
Because you are the first person with a channel that I'VE heard that doesn't beg a million times for me to hit like, subscribe and comment, I'm gonn get all up in ya vids! Cheers yo
As if people don't know what to do on youtube.
P.s love old war memorabilia and stories, good stuff
Many love the Panther and Tiger, but I honestly love the Waffenträger and Hetzer. They do not only look good but were probably more needed than all the German heavies...
Hetzer is my favourite
I missed these Top 5 videos. So informative :3
"Mark 103 cannons"
MK doesn't mean Mark lmao
Everybody knows but nobody cares
MK=Mein Kamf :p
Gewel ✔ this guy has no idea what he is talking about
MK stands for Maschinen Kanone. Germans use that for automatic, rapid fire weapons 20mm and above. BK is Bordkanone. Term is still used in say the MK27 / BK27 revolver canon
Come on hans go to the battlefield with your tank!!
TRANSMISION BROKE
UNDERSTANDABLE have a great day
This is actually interesting to learn about, I also did not know so many deigns were actually for the Löwe
War daddy back with the top 5
The panzershrek bogwood would be a nice meme vehicle in warthunder
You say meme, but it might actually do okay
I had it in a mod in Men of War AS2, and it was fun ambushing people with it
RiftandRend m60 ontos but instead it's at BR 4.0
I think it'd be fine at BR1-3, I misspoke when it came to a meme vehicle. It'd definitely be a meme/derpy vehicle. But I think it could do alright as a quick moving AT rocket vehicle, perhaps like a smaller version of the lower-tier german rocket half-track (Can't remember what it's called)
You spot on here. Ambushing would be a perfect senario for the Bogward. But getting away alive would be hard. To slow and to weak amoured.

3-inch -Gun carrier- Waffenträger
Would love to see the two other Waffentragers in warthunder, as well as a few of the E series (I know gayjin is against blueprint/uncompleted tanks but lets be honest fi it werent for blueprints the germans wouldnt have half their tanks and the soviets wouldnt have any heavy tanks past the IS-2, not to mention the surplus of event vehicles that were untested or even unfinished prototypes).
Unfortunately the cancerous plane spam makes thin skinned and open vehicles completely useless these days. Even low tier TDs are rare past 2.3 due to the spam of planes.
no
No
I would also like to see many of the tanks in this vid in wt and maybe ... GETING RID OF THE GERMAND AND RUSSIAN P-47s bc that shit never happened and it’s hella annoying
josh brown no. German P47 and Soviet P47 happened. E serie tanks, on the other hand, didn't. Reading history isn't hard.
Nice video mate, I only knew 1 tank lol. Shows that you've actually done your research! Earned a Sub.
Finally, someone brings the Maresal to the spotlight. Thankyou!
How about top 5 allied experimental tanks?
Allied tanks SUCK 😜
The Stage of JAG THE GEMINI At least they didn’t break down every day 😂
they did like the KV1, Crusader and Churchill tanks.
The Stage of JAG THE GEMINI have you heard the tale of the USSR?
You mean the empire which resisted against all threats/odds only to collapse in the end under it's own agendas?
Yeah, I heard about it
Fun-Fact: There were 3 Plans for the Pz. Kpfw. VII LÖWE: The 'Heavy Löwe' was with the turret in the rear of the chassis and an 128mm gun another variant was with an 150mm gun instead of the 128mm and the last variant was with an central mounted Turret, lighter armor and an 105mm Gun, called the 'Light Löwe'
WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT, I KNEW ALMOST ALL THESE TANKS

5) Maresal (1:09) (side note: the way you say "maresal" lol) Romanian WW2 Tank Destroyer
4) Grosskampfwagen (5:32) German WW1 Super-heavy tank
3) Flakpanzer IV (Kugelblitz) (7:49) German WW2 Self Propelled Anti Air
2) Waffenträger (9:43) German WW2 Tank Destroyer
1) Borgward IV (14:44) German WW2... basically it's anything you want it to be...
Summary: 18:53
Most of these tanks are in war thunder or world of tanks
Hetzer is one of the most well-known tanks of WWII...
It seems that most people seem to misunderstand the benefits and downsides of sloped amour. It is not the case that angling the amour makes it the equivalent to thicker amour of the same material.

12:02 you' ve committed a tiny error in the E series
E-10: armored personal carrier
E-25: tank destroyers
E-50: Medium tanks
E-75: Heavy tanks
E-100: Super heavy tanks
Jagd Tiger , the issue this vehicle had and the Konieg Tiger and the Ferdinand/ Elephant had were the power plants and transmissions used in them were for vehicles half there weight, had the Germans developed power plants and transmissions for vehicles of their weight class, things mayhave been a little bit different.
Really interesting video, and I learned a few new things about German Armor. Thanks for the video !!!
From K-Wagon to King Tiger, Maus, E-100 and Ratte. Lessons not learned, are failures bound to be repeated.
To be fair, with the K-Wagen they didn't have enough time to start that lesson, let alone learn it
@@Melonist in 1940 Soviets were building a heavy tank on the lessons learned in Finland, and on the base of SMK and T-100. 75 tons first draft, 79 tons final prototype. It was the first IS prior to KV modification. It was scrapped by the end of 1940.
People who think the Hetzer isn't a tank are like flat earthers
10:45 only because it can look up very high doesnt mean its a self propelled gun which in short is an artillery, this my man is a tank destroyer/support tank

5. Maresal: Inspired the Jadgtpanzer (Hetzer). Big gun on a light(er) tank chassis = low cost tank destroyer.
4. Grosskampfwagen: KWagen, 120 tons, 4 guns, 7 MGs, 7KM/hour = Artillery target
3. Kugelblitz: FlakPanzer IV, enclosed turret, a pair of 30mm cannon, not enough ammo, gun damage assured = prototype only.
2. Waffentrager: PAK 43/88mm SP gun on a light tank chassis!? 3 companies, 7 tanks produced.
1. Borgward IV: An Ammo transporter used as an interesting test platform for anti mine to anti tank applications.
