Great video. Several additional points to add
    1. There must be success in your organization. If you continue to lose/fail, it is hard to capture the respect of your team.
    2. You must be technically strong and a hard worker. If your team sees you are lacking knowledge/ability your team will not respect you.
    3. You must recruit a strong team and loyal team with at least one main report.
    4. You must eliminate the weaker/toxic employees.
    5. You have to be a great promoter of your business. If you portray your company as boring or weak, you will never inspire your team to succeed.
    6. Your team must see some great benefit for their own career to obtain their loyalty and their top effort.
    7. Don't let your team hate you. Don't embarrass them and try to praise them.
    8. Keep the work environment fun and inspiring.
    9. Try to be likable.
    10. You must give your team vision of growth, team and great possibility for the future.

Great video, Alux! I will rewatch this again one more time so that it sinks in. There is another point that should be added. I learned this from one of my professors in business school - employees come before customers. His logic was if employees are not happy and they are the ones interacting with customers, then the customers won't be happy. I saw this more during the pandemic than before! Unhappy employees quit and it negatively affected business across industries- private AND govt agencies. Many people quit during the pandemic, entrepreneurship went up, the number of millionaires in the US went up! During a pandemic! I'm not a millionaire yet, I wish I was, but no one thinks about business like my former professor and it's not something most professors teach. Again, thank you Alux! 😊

One crucial aspect of being an effective leader is social architecture. This means creating diverse groups of people for the creative abrasion of their ideas in order to promote innovation and build an inspiring mission together. It's not top-down leadership but rather harnessing the ideas and experiences of your diverse teams in collaboration. Just a thought....

Those principles are certainly not being taught in the elite business schools now - look at company leadership (older, established companies) and you see most of these are missing. At least entrepreneurs do not have that problem.

Diversity and inclusion is good if it is used to increase ideas, perspectives, etc. Where it goes off the rails (most places today) is when it is weaponized and just a item to be checked off.

I was a bit surprised to see Representative Cortez featured in the Alux video as a leader, but it's okay to have differing opinions. It's disappointing for me personally because I don't see her as a leader.
