Sarah you are just so cute, I love your flosstube. This hobby has changed so much in a great way from when I did it in the 80s. One of which are the flosstubes. We can form relationships and not even meet! But what a bonus if we get that opportunity! Your projects are so pretty. Enjoy the rest of your summer! It’s been so hot here in North Carolina that I have been getting a lot of stitching time.

Fun to watch you today while working on my stitching on this rainy Monday, Sarah! I would enjoy watching a mid-year WIP parade from you. I thought about filming my own except I just one when I started my channel a few months ago. I want to reorganize my kits so I’m planning a kit parade later this summer. My “kits” usually are patterns and floss if I bought things specifically to go with each other.

Happy belated birthday. I’m happy that you had a nice celebration at the beach. I am catching up on my FlossTube videos and stitching while watching. I love all the stitchy pieces that you shared. I love the Blue Flower Beach in Autumn. I live at the beach in Southern CA so I just may have to stitch it. I was surprised at how big those postcards are. I’m so glad you are an aida stitcher because I can see what patterns can be stitched on any fabric. I stitch aida only as well. Continue to enjoy your summer and get that fill in done. I have learned that outlining something so it can be filled in is a great way to go. I call it mindless stitching.

Cute finishes. I have Not done an FFO with my Chenille trims yet. I kit up stuff on Saturdays, some are missing a couple floss or the fabric, but all are in project bags / keepers. The ones that are Fully kitted up go into a basket, so when I'm ready, they are all set for me to start. Love New Starts!!! My plans & goals never seem to jive.

Sarah, I love your flosstube. I am 69 years old and have picked cross-stitching back up from the 1980s. I finished Gather Ye Rosebuds and it is dated 1990. I had started the companion piece While Ye May but never finished. I am enjoying working on it. Floss Tube has been great for mye because I have a short attention span and have discovered it's okay to have multiple pieces going. I have 12 WIPs right now. Thank you for your sweet enthusiasm ❤

Well I am always up for a WIP parade but like you Sarah, I do not kit until I am ready to stitch. I do have two projects for Jolly July in the process of kitting. Just waiting on a chart and a floss that has been out of stock. I have seen those beach stitches...when I attended the Barefoot Needleart Retreat last fall. ( And I will be headed to Gulf Shores in September for a week of soaking up the beach vibes and going to Creative Needle Arts to shop!) Happy Stitching!
@@arleneg1271 I went there when I was down and got two beautiful aida fabrics. Have you been since she moved the cross stitch to the room in the back? It’s so much easier to shop. There are chairs and a table too so I just plopped down and looked through everything. ❤️

Sarah, it was so fun to see that you’re using that little pouch! Some questions for you: 1. Do you find that white sulky (or white fancy floss, for that matter), tends to lay better than DMC B5200? I never seem to like my white stitches using DMC B5200. 2. How is your Dasher and Dancer coming along? It is my favorite WIP, but I haven’t devoted enough time to it. I love it but it’s so slow going (and a little overwhelming as it’s my largest project). 3. Love that green chenille trim on your strawberry pillow. Did you sew it on or glue it on? I haven’t worked with chenille trim yet, so curious. Great video!
@@janis711stitches2 I love that little pouch so much. It is the perfect size for my little purse project! I use the other one for my tablet and it really comes in handy❤️you are the sweetest. Ok yes I do think my white stitches look better with sulky for sure. I haven’t been working on dasher in a while. However, I have been trying to get some wips finished to lower my count so I can rotate through all of them better. I always glue chenille with Aileen’s glue. Works great for me!

A thought for a future flosstube: I know you love ornaments-maybe a finish parade of all of your ornaments before you decorate your tree. Could be fun! Are you participating in Midsummer Stitch? I love your flosstube so much!!!! On the Salute to Abigail, how many strands did you use of the white? I love the way it looks!!!!!
@@cindyjprice527 aw thank you!! I used one strand. That sulky is a tad thicker than one strand of dmc and really makes it stand out. So my fabric is 16 count aida and then I used one strand on all the flosses.

Hello Sarah, I love all your stitching projects and your kind personality. I would like your advice about using 1 strand versus 2 strands on 18 count Aida. i wasn't happy using 1 strand on my first attempt so 2 strands have been my go-to recently. I am a slow stitcher so maybe using 1 strand would speed up my stitching. Any comments would be appreciated. Pam
@@pamelajohnson4536 I personally love using one strand on 18 for a couple of reasons. I think my stitches look nicer and I use half the floss! I even use one strand on most 16 counts!
