Thank you! When the weather dries out a bit I will be heading out on my boat and hopefully will get some amazing shots of different areas :)! Super excited about that.
This was your best video ever. I love Buttercup's walks, I work on a ship and for some reason I feel like smiling when she makes her appearance. She looks like a lovely companion. What a fantastic spot too! I think the owners is very lucky to have you as a caretaker. Looks like a really lovely place.
Can I just say you are awesome........A master of cinema verite.....the way it is......the heli shots are liquid smooth.....keep on keepin on.......namaste....finn
What an awesome winter setup ! I recognize that place, once passing on a kayak trip, and another on a Potter 15 when I took a big wave over the side and into the cabin. I don't think it's possible to get a better front row seat to wildlife than there ! Thanks for the view of the beautiful scenery.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I just read online that Vancouver is bracing for a second cyclone. Looking at the forecast here I don't see another coming. Although it is windy now... maybe I'm in it!
Of course I think this is your best video yet ! 😂 All jokes aside your footage is stunning and your driving !! Can’t wait to see more. Thank you Amanda and Buttercup. 🙏🙏
Excellent video :) Very relaxing, it slows you down. Good way to unwind for a short break in a busy day. I am envious! It is difficult to tell in the video, but I was always taught when chopping wood to keep your feet shoulder width apart and facing the log - that way you have a stable stance and if the axe misses and swings back it goes between your legs rather than into your shin. Have a cozy Halloween!
yah, my stance is definitely affected by where I'm chopping wood. the bench is behind me so i have very little room to swing or stand. i need to find a better place :)!
Excellent video as always Amanda! We were in Sooke at our daughter's when the storm hit. A lot of power outages on the south Island, good thing it wasn't too cold.
Oh wow! As bad as it was here, I don't think we got it as bad as some others, like Howe Sound! It's still hanging on here a bit, but not as bad as yesterday. Thanks for watching!
Wow, awful big woodstove for the cabin. I had the same size for 100% wood heat in a 3000 sq ft 3 bedroom house when I had my acreage out in the bush. Other than for the well we really did not care if we had power. Every time a storm was brewing we would fill up the bathtub just in case. We would lose power for a day or two couple times a year and for weeks a couple times over a 30 yr period. Love the lifestyle. I need to get over to N.Van next day or so to check the lines on my boat after the storm. Moving aboard in the next week
Hi Amanda ! Crazy weather bomb out your way! Hope your boat survived and was ok. I know how it feels to worry about your boat tied up at dock. I think this was the first time I saw your boat name in writing. All along I thought your boat was called Amanda. I was obviously confused. Lol. Good to get that cleared up. I hope the rain passes in your area and the sun comes out soon .
Looking out the window right now it's still rocking pretty good, but not as bad as yesterday!! So many people think my boat name is Amanda... even when you see the name it looks like Amanda - haha!! The sun is trying to come out, but no luck so far! Thanks for watching :)!
Another beautifully crafted video! You don’t wear gloves when working with the wood, splinters are in your future. I noticed that the rock islet in front of the dock covers at high tide. Got shock absorbers on your dock lines? So as to maintain the privacy and security of both you and the owners, I’ll not name the island. But, it’s not where I thought it might be! Be safe, keep the videos coming and have have a wonderful experience there.
Sorry can’t stop saying it. Just beautiful.
I enjoy your videos. The simplicity of your days makes me envious. Your channel will catch on , it is too good not to. Take care Ernest
I am so glad you enjoy them, thank you Ernest :)
That opening shot was...amazing

That's crazy you took a wave into the cabin - yikes! It does get a bit rough out there. Thank you for watching!
Hey Amanda and Buttercup, pretty new subscriber. your vlogs and lifestyle relax me. Thank you.
Hi Amanda. Good thing you were off the water when the bomb cyclone came through. Video footage was beautiful. Take care and stay safe.
I was thinking the exact same thing. I just read online that Vancouver is bracing for a second cyclone. Looking at the forecast here I don't see another coming. Although it is windy now... maybe I'm in it!
Hi Amanda, great video, with superb editing. Looks like the BC in BC didn't amount to much, we have far worse weather here in the sunny UK.
Hi Amanda. Great video, thanks for sharing your daily life. I use a razor blade paint scraper and a little windex for final cleaning of stove glass. 👍
I'll have to try that :)
Great ”vids” and music Amanda!❤
Super cute riding around in that Lil' wood cart. Your living the dream. Sometimes you just gotta put in hard work to keep that dream life.
very content living life this way. had enough of people and civilization 😆
@@AmandaOffGrid I feel the exact same way. Just need my guitar and nature.
Of course I think this is your best video yet ! 😂 All jokes aside your footage is stunning and your driving !! Can’t wait to see more. Thank you Amanda and Buttercup. 🙏🙏
haha 😆!! i drive sooooo slow... getting good aerial footage is so easy up here... u just gotta launch the drone and ‘BOOM!’... great footage 😊
@@AmandaOffGrid we had a drone for a bit. It ended up in the ocean. 😑
😳😳😳 that’s why i’m not very adventurous... i’m a 🐔
That’s a big improvement in the wood chopping department, well done! Trying the ash water newspaper trick here😉

Your videos are so relaxing to watch. Is there a town close buy to supplies?
Thank you :). Yes, about 15 nautical miles...

Yes, I did get some new work gloves. Sometimes I forget them in the cabin, but I am getting better at remembering them. Thanks for watching :)!
Thats a tough life your having!
yes... it’s a daily struggle 😆
I can’t imagine how good that place smells. How are you getting internet?
smells? right now it smells like rain and pine 😊😊. satellite internet... not star link... not available here yet.
@@AmandaOffGrid Rain and pine are the best smells in the world. Is satellite internet expensive?
i’m not sure. the owners of the property had it before i arrived
you've arrived at your winter destination. Much more good karma to you!
it was a great trip :)
Your like my new UA-cam crush 😍 😃 😊
Taking bets, for when you will surpass 1000 subscribers ? New Year ? 🙂
