1.8 billion years of plate tectonic motion

This tectonic dance of Earth's plates over nearly half the planet's life was created by Xianzhi Cao based on our recent study (Cao et al. 2024 www.sciencedir...) integrating the geology of the world with high-quality palaeomagnetic data.
