Some information is incoorect, fyi and there is never one way to get a Pitch done. There are various scenerios to sucess with Pitches to the industriesl I will agree you cannot have just one screenplay, But there is the 'Rush Hour' Franchise, students coming out of film schools have had success.
This is the really imp video for new writers i think you should ask this question to every writer and director Please make more video on pitching and narration of ideas to producers
The creature feature with a human story at its core sort of what he’s talking about, the movie Godzilla Minus One is a perfect example. It’s rare for a monster movie to rise to Oscar worthy screenwriting, but this one did.
...like any other industry. and there is always risk because they have to try to be different to be competitive. Larger economic trends are forcing blockbuster culture down our throats.

You really need to know someone.. No other way unfortunately..AFM and conventions are nice but I have yet to hear of anything concrete coming out of it.. other than somebody who already knew someone.. But places like AFM could help establish relationships..
Ahaha wow yea one thing you don’t hear about when it comes to reasons why your script can be passed up is the locations you’re using the amount of characters etc. (the cost to make it a reality)
If you write a screenplay you can get it legally copyrighted before pitching, I’m not an expert bc I’m not a pro but a stolen idea can be sued if you cover yourself first
What do you like about this video?
Excellent questions asked. Thank you
Absolutely everything. I think your questions helped save me A LOT of frustration down the road.
I thought AI was taking writers jobs?
after watching this video, I’m currently in the process of creating my projects

I own Scott Kirkpatrick's first two books and got lots out of them. I look forward to reading his new, third book.
So basically be as safe and predictable and uninteresting as possible. Very cool

I’m sure there’s a lot of talented writers and artists in this comment section. Why can’t we just get together?
Because most have little to no business acumen.
@@thegoatbilly Requires study and practice. Can't get practice when you can't get a pitch.
What are you proposing?
Loglines are 10 words - 3 sentences or less not 75 - 100 that's a Synopsis.

"... We don't get credits all the time." And here I thought the media was a class above the proletariat.
Thanks Tolstoy
With a pitchfork?

Amen!!! I was just thinking that
Do you have stories @binky777?
So how does one get a movie funded? A script sold?
