This video describes it as a paradise, but believe me, if you are not white or if you are gay, be very careful, because they have a very lagged-behind mentality and 80% of them won't accept you. I'm neither of those so I didn't get a lot of problems, I'm just worried about those people who could get deceived by the kind of video who promote Albania (not this one in particular which just showed some places). Ah, I forgot to say that they treat women very very badly. I remember that only once my girlfriend got back home during the evening alone, and some guys (in group, because alone they don't even dare to talk to women) were calling her prostitute... Also, my girlfriend used to teach English to Albanian people, and every time they said they couldn't pay now but they promised they would very soon, they disappeared without any news... Then they talk about "besa", saying that they are trustful people, when the truth is that Albanians are very wary of one another, because only them know how they really are.

I did the tour with Choose Balkans in September of 2018 and it was breathtakingly beautiful. I saw Komani Lake, and did the trek from Theth - Valbona. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see beautiful untouched scenery which is unique to Albania. I've also gone to Berat, Saranda, Gjirokastra, Tirana, Kruja, Syri i Kalter, Shkodra, Butrinti. Albania is a beautiful and unique country!

Then they talk about "besa", saying that they are trustful people, when the truth is that Albanians are very wary of one another, because only them know how they really are.

I did the tour with Choose Balkans in September of 2018 and it was breathtakingly beautiful. I saw Komani Lake, and did the trek from Theth - Valbona. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see beautiful untouched scenery which is unique to Albania. I've also gone to Berat, Saranda, Gjirokastra, Tirana, Kruja, Syri i Kalter, Shkodra, Butrinti. Albania is a beautiful and unique country!
