Highlight mix of Hall of Famer "The Worm" Dennis Rodman. One of the best defenders and rebounders the world has ever seen. Song: Scala & Kolacny Brothers - Creep
I'll alwayz have Respect for this dude. No matter what people say or think about him. There's too much good in him. watching this video you can't do nothing but Respect him.
I also agree. but it fits him from the perspective of the singer and the perspective of the person the singer is singing to. It was a wonderful choice of song.
This is one of the best highlight mix tributes I have ever seen on UA-cam, or any media for that matter. The action, voice-overs and music all fit perfectly. You get the sense of who Dennis Rodman was, and why his contributions to the game deserved for him to be placed in the Hall of Fame with the great ones. His tearful thanks for winning the Defensive Player of the Year shows the deep complexity of the man that totally sacrificed for his teammates allowing greater glory for them all, yet also allowed him to ironically be a self serving side-show off the court. Great, entertaining piece that should be watched by all basketball aficionados!!
+David Boatright Amazingly said mate! "the man that totally sacrificed for his teammates allowing greater glory for them all" + hardest worker on the court makes him one of the greatest of them all.
He had the competence to score as good as any other players. But in Bulls, he let it go and stick solely to defence and let others shine. Sad he never found friends in Bulls during his days there.
Dennis Rodman played each minute of each game as if it was the last 2 minutes of a tied game 7 of an NBA Finals. A truly hardworking playe with disregard of possible injury when going after a possession. Something players these days would not understand. One of the best ever at his position. Great video.
true competitor. he didn't start playing until college. Hard worker, did the dirty work, wasn't the most talented. He had an insane work ethic. His hustle was amazing, his legacy amazing thank you Dennis for your example.
Man - to me - that´s one of the most beautiful videos on youtube. I was and am a big bulls fan of the 90s. Very very good memories. This vid is so emotional, this song fits perfect, great scenes. Man - i cried like a baby when i watched this. Good job - Dennis would be proud!
Players nowadays can still play defense but the new nba rules restrict them from playing a hard defense because foul will be called eventually.I'd say the big difference would be the hustle plays like rodman has showed is almost gone in the nba right now.he was willing to sacrifice his body to save the ball. The only nba player that plays hustle almost every game that i can think of is, Noah from the same team chicago bulls.
Hello I'm from Greece and I was in the generation when Dennis Rodman , Pippen and Jordan were still playing and i could enjoy them live from my cable TV straight from U.S.A. Dennis teached me that only with such a passion as his passion when he was playing in life you can do everything...He showed to everyone tha he loved basketball and he deserverd his glory..BEST OF THE BEST AND A GOOD MAN!!
He was cantankerous, ornery, and emotional. Put them all together and they equal out to passion. Say what you want about "The Worm". If there was a better grunt worker in the history of the NBA then I don't know who he is. VERY deserving of his enshrinement into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame!!!
I wish Rodman played more offense...he was a great shooter and he could easily have put up 20-30 points a game on top of his insane defense...but he always let other players get the glory of making baskets...truly one of the greats...he was fun to watch.
I think he did that on purpose to show the importance of rebounding and how effective and impactful it is in a game. He tried to maximize a integral asset of the game that hardly goes notice and he perfected it.
Gurvinder Parmar It didn’t matter to him. Score or no score as long as his TEAM would win. Nowadays it’s all about making 50 points or more win or lose.
I'm glad that I got a chance to see this man with so much heart play in person , although I was a teenager at the time I will never forget. This is wanting it, this is HEART
I Can't Imagine How The Hell Lebron James,Draymond Green, & Stephen Curry would ever play todays Generation Having Rodman As Their Opponent 😍😍😍 Isn't It Lovely? ❤
I grew up playing basketball during the 90's, and every coach I played for knew me as a hustle player, why? Because I wanted to be like Dennis, I may not have scored the most points in every game, but dammit I was on the ball 24/7, and it's cuz of this guy. Being a Chicagoan it was hard not to love the guy, this video practically brought tears to my eyes. Reminds me of such great times, and a great era. Thank you for this
StewartHaasNewman I myself have never been a great shooter so I tried my hardest on defense while I played, I put my entire concentration to defense and at the end of the day playing hard defense makes a difference
A man who would put his life in the line just to save a lose ball.. his heart and courage is in another level.. I bet he would become one of the best fighter on the ring if he do martial arts or boxing,
This is a fantastic video and choosing that song was genius. I love Rodman, always have. As a young kid i. the late 80s and early 90s who was starting to understand he didn't fit in and would forever be on the outside Rodman was a hero. He did his own thing, refused to go away or be normal and he was successful, seeing that as a kid no doubt informed me I could be a weirdo and not apologize and I'd be ok.
He would still be the rebound king in this era. No one could rebound the ball like this man. He would tap the ball to himself like 3-5 times to get the ball. Relentless. 6'7 height. Guy was amazing!!
He just might be the best defensive player of all time. Of course there's debate about that, and it's completely understandable. But he is the BEST rebounder of all time. There should be no debate about that.
I F*&%ING LOVE THIS VIDEO! PERFECT song choice. AMAZING. Rodman was an absolute defensive BEAST. When I talk to my son about playing sports like he wants it more than everyone else, I reference Dennis Rodman and show him this video and other Rodman highlight videos. Go BULLS.
Great comment!!! Liked that you will pass on the history down to your son. Jordan Scottie amd Rodman set the standard for NBA team as well as the other bulls and coach Phil. They set the bar high. They play with PASSION which todays basketball is lacking. They gave all to the people thats why the crowd gone wild when they are in the court. Intense and passionate.
The Rebounding Badge has his DNA on the handle. 🎉❤ The GOAT of EFFORT and IQ. 13 rebounds on a light night, and shut down on ball defense on 1-5. Funky Worm 🐐 Naismith Hall of Famer, Rockstar, and Champion. To think we almost missed this gem. He got serious about playing basketball AFTER high school. Straight out of Oak Cliff, Dallas, Texas
the man with the face of a hardcore gangster and yet made lots of funny moments in the nba, a true hardcore who never ran away from defending bigger opponents phil jackson assigned on him. the man with a big heart really added the flavor and intensity of nba those days. i can never imagine how superstars today would play infront of this guy. salute to you BOSS RODMAN!!!
O It's so difficult to understand how GREAT he was... Maybe the best defensive basketball player ever. The way he fights for every rebound, every smart assist he made... This Guy is fucking incredible. Chicago Bulls never had won 96-98 titles without him. A genuine legend. One of the greatest ever. In my opinion, a clear top 3 defensive player ever.
The WORM! The Glove, Bruce Bowen, Hakeem, The Black Mamba, Alonzo, Dikembe, Artest, Ben Wallace... ... all very good defenders but no one else was as selfless of a defender as Rodman. It was a thing of beauty watching him play defense, and man could he rebound. He used to get double digit assist just off dishing his offensive boards.
I loved to watch Dennis play basketball, he worked so hard in the game..sometimes I think harder than anyone. Pippin and Jordan were "LUCKY" to have this guy! Awesome Rodman!!! He was fun to watch...always great!!!
Pretty pretty, the music gives it the touch. The great worm. I can remember him talking how his mother bever houg him, as she didn't know how, while he was criyng. Memorable. Thanks for the flashback.
Dennis was and is such an important modern figure in such a strange way, he’s just so human. competitive, selfless, trusting, brash, unpredictable, creative, strong, vulnerable, determined, loyal, and so many more descriptors, and he wore all of them not just on his sleeve but all over. he’s an icon, a legend, one that will live forever.

Big tip for rebound especially coming from a dude who doesn’t drive the offense you need to be willing to go after that ball because in big moments if you get that bored you can change games without scoring one
Rodman played with more heart than anyone in the NBA nowadays. He would get in other players heads & just drive them crazy, especially Alonzo Mourning & Shawn Kemp. He was relentless!
