I enjoyed the sequence of - Shady: this is the worst thing I could have ever got Me: what is he talking about that’s the best possible option here Shady after team building: So it turns out I was totally wrong and this is great
I just got to this and I’m sitting here thinking, wait blisseys only weakness is its lack of physical defense. Otherwise its tankiness is completely ridiculous. By upping defense you just make blissey better at its niche
Shady’s intro: “the developers at game-freak spent a lot of time balancing the stats of all these pokemon” Zacian, Miraidon, Koraidon and Calyrex Shadow+Ice: “lol”
Devils Bargain Then We Fight Challenge: Choose a starter and don't tell the other. Tell the other what you would want like any ability (name it), new typing (name it), illegal move (name it) or a stat from one of the other starters (name the stat). The opponent tells you the downside you have to accept to get your chosen benefit. (Be creative as much as you like, but be aproportional to the benefit. Downside ideas: Specific Item to use; You choose the next Starter of theirs; Can't be fully evoilved or something other creative.) Then you decide, if you take the Devils Bargain or just use the starter as is.
A fun idea I think would be that you and your opponent have the same randomizer. You both pick from the same group without telling the other. Can then give any ability to differentiate them and then see who can utilize the pokemon better when both players had the same choices.
I like this but also they could make a little game out of it. They reveal each round which one they both picked, and if they picked the same one then they choose EACH OTHER'S ability
I love Shady saying he's not taking the victory dance set, and then taking the victory dance sett, and in the same round Pat taking the wrong stat and wrong ability at the same time. It's truly, Absolute Cinema.
Gotta say, the battles are great and all, but that tonal synchronization between the music and the “Don’t you want a rematch?” audio is just *_chef’s kiss_* It’s so aesthetically pleasing
Gimmick idea: Take Out the Middleman. Rank your starters as Strongest - Mid - Weakest, then eliminate Mid. Your opponent blindly chooses for you (by location) so you're guaranteed to get either the best or the worst 'mon on your screen. Score or Suck. It's content!
Yeah, no hate to the editor/s but the choice to blur the starter choices made absolutely no sense, and the fact that they were never shown at all takes away from the entire gimmick of the video by not letting us know what was fused.
Absolute content! Loved the video! For videos like this that include changing something about the pokemon (typing, stats, etc) during the team preview I think it would be good to show what was changed and how. At 18:40 Shady says his crawdaunt has 540 Atk, but that’s what it is in game and not how it was changed. I personally would’ve preferred to see what two stats were added to crawdaunt’s attack and see his NEW base attack stat! Sorry for the yap but I think that would be a great addition for this video and future ones.
Giving Blissey even just 60 DEF from Alolan Dugtrio is terrifying. I was surprised Shady didn’t start popping off when it was Defense. It took me this long into the video to realize you added both of the other stats together. Blissey is gonna be ungodly.
I love shady and his friends but 100% patterz is my #2 and these videos are GOLD. For me specifically, these are my two faves. I understand to each their own so I’m not saying this is better…but for me this is butter.❤
not sure if it would be possible or how much people would enjoy it, but I've always wanted to see one of these "Then We Fight" videos where you randomize say 10 rounds of starters, but both players choose from the same batch by having a third person random give each player left middle or right, so both battlers get to see what's on screen and then someone else is just there to tell you what you get
VIDEO IDEA: Custom States You choose your randomized starter, and you are able to rearrange their Base states. Meaning if you have a pokemon with a BST of 450 you can custom the stats along as it totally 450
Right I am going to point out something. When LEVITATE came out in second fight, patters mentioned, "I just closed my eyes, and it happened." Either this is one massive coincidence, or that's a bloody good and obscure reference to "Hadoukens - Levitate" at about 50 seconds into the song you hear the lyrics "I just close my eyes and Levitate"
I love these then we fight videos, they keep getting more and more creative... I just will never understand how they don't write down & double check what they need so they don't "cheat"
A cool variation would be that you choose a pokémon and then the other player can swap its stats. So you choose an Alakazam and Dylan says he wants to swap Attack with SPA. You could make it so that you can only swap 6 times and each time has to be a unique swap.
11:55 I was like "Why the hell is Shady all disappointed?" But then while doing the modding he realized it's decently borked giving Blissey who has the highest HP stat and 135 spdef access to greater Def instead of it's 10 Def makes it a literal tank.
16:14 I believe the way it works is it buffs the base power of damage dealing moves (not sure about future sight etc). Similar to how burn doesn't half your attack, it halves the base power of physical attacks
Idea: Randomized starters, alternate picks. But the base stat total of the first Pokèmon is set to the same as the second one. Fe. Player A picks a Giratina, Player B then picks Scizor. Giratinas base stat is then lowered to Scizors. Next round Player B choooses first. The adjusted base stat spread is determined by the player. Also the fully evolved base stat counts. Split-Evo you can choose one. This could make some good Pokèmon bad, and some bad ones really good. If the base stats of both pokemon happen to be equal, both players get to choose a custom ability for that Pokémon.
video idea, both of you choose your own starter. The trick is that when you choose your mon, the person with the lower base stat starter gets a random buff and the higher base stat mon gets a random debuff
LOVE when you post Shady and always so excited when you post! I do remember the road to ranked days and was very fun to watch! Hope you keep creating more of the amazing collab content! 😄
I do like the idea of changing up the rules in the final round. It adds some spice to the mix and helps to equalize things, if one player has been having otherwise poor luck.
Think you could possibly do an all or nothing on stats? Like you get to increase one stat to max but its inverse would be switched around. Examples include: Hit like a truck Attack but wilt like a leaf Defense, Run like lightning Speed but have no endurance to keep up HP, and so on.
Shady, what if you spun a wheel six times per player, the wheel has on it the words Left, Right, and Middle. And then you have to pick your starters using those wheel spins in any order. So if you got Left, Right, Right, Middle, Right, Middle, you can only choose a Pokemon on the Left once. They can choose the Middle Pokemon only twice, and the Right Pokemon three times
battle idea: *Wheel chooses 6 types, no duplicates. *Catch 6 mons in 20 minutes using each type once. *One masterball. *Failure to catch a full team in 20 minutes results in the next qualifier you see, and IV's reduced to 15. *Moves can be ANY possible to pick up in the actual game through level up, tutors, egg, TM's, etc.
I dunno why but Pat’s excitement for ATK in the fifth round reminds me of that one video of the random dude dancing that everyone thought was Pat for awhile
Pat had the entire SwSh DLC on his screen Round 1 and Shady was just like, 'You know what? Alolan Graveler.' Also Pat turning down the Shell Smash on Masquerain was painful.
I think it would be fun to see a a vid where you can take your bst and redistribute the points. So if you don't use special attack you can re-allocate as you see fit.
Another absolute banger! Just finished re-watching the Pokemon Red and Blue Soullink Nuzlocke you did like 7 years ago. Love your vids, man! Keep it up!
I’d love to see this with all fully evolved, no legends/myths/UB/paradox, you pick one of three and must take 1 stat each from the other two to build your mon, any ability from the options.
I have a fun idea for a challenge. Could y’all please catch eight Pokemon of your choice that all have random abilities. Both of you also get to pick out the move sets after catching the Pokemon. Once you both acquire teams, read off each of your team members’ Pokedex entries. If the one being read to correctly identifies a Pokemon entry, he gets the option to force a trade without knowing the moveset of the identified Pokemon. The player who gets the identity correct is also able to pick out a custom ability for the traded Pokemon. Sabotaging some of your own team members is legal. Let’s say that the two leftover Pokemon with easy Pokédex entries are physical attackers like Machamp. You can rigg the entire moveset to be special or support moves. The Pokemon can’t be pseudo legends, legends, paradox, ultra beast, mythical or, starters to make it a bit more challenging.
I do like "magical changing: going back to the original rules but changing it a little bit" (TM). I look forward to hearing that the full TM every video now. I don't even want to shorten it to Sixth Round Rule Alteration. :)
When the loser of battle one start out behind in battle two, but you know there’s 10+ minutes left in the video… COMEBACK CITY BACK, LET’S GO UNDERDOG!
Concept: create the ULTIMATE random Pokémon, then we battle" Randomly pick left/middle/right. Use this Pokémon as body+moves (but don't fully evolve it). Good vid, I think you guys played the battles well considering the monsters you had to deal with on each team. I'd be down to see the format again with full information about the stat. Blind picking and randomness has always been unsatisfying to me, I like when the minigame for picking mons involves some amount of strategy or skill.
How about a tournament style video but: -Team building can be done using any previous video’s idea. -The rounds will be best of 3. -The winner of the matchup (after all rounds) gets to swap out ANY pokemon of their choice from their opponent *IF* they want to. -The losers will have to fight their way to get a chance at still getting to the finals by possibly using a team they didn’t have at the start -The winner of the losers rounds gets a shot at taking the #1 spot from the overall winner.
New idea. Random starter but the opponent gives them a ability. The opponent can choose between the abilities: Truant, slow start, emercy exit, pure power, wonder guard and serene grace. 3 bad and 3 good. The opponent will not know what pokemon you choose.
Easier way to do this is rock paper scissors to determine who chooses left center or right and which ever one is chosen both have to select that pokemon

Hey free video concept (you're welcome😜) choose your starter but you take their original stats and randomly put it on a different stat.
You guys should do this again but only use legendary stats on low-tier sleeper 'mon.
