Ukrainian forces have retreated from a micro-district in a battlefront town following relentless bombardments by Russian troops. The decision was made after the positions held by the defending army were decimated by Russian troop’s onslaughts and rendered untenable. According to the Kyiv Post \- citing a telephone conversation with Nazar Voloshyn, a Ukrainian military spokesman - the Russian forces fulfilled the warning, making the stronghold unsafe and forcing the encamped defending forces to withdraw.“The positions of the Ukrainian defenders were destroyed, and keeping personnel there was a threat to the lives of our soldiers,” Voloshyn explained.
“The Russian Forces did not leave a single building intact; after the bombing and artillery shelling, it looks like a moonscape.”
Bohdan Khodakovsky, commander of the Ukrainian military’s Revansh (Revenge) tactical division, corroborated Voloshyn’s statement.
He said: “The enemy completely occupied the Kanal district of Chasiv Yar.
Khodakovsky said on July 1, “the fall of Chasiv Yar is closer.

Many may complain about the pace at which Russia advances but do understand they have to have a stable advance, not one where if there is a Ukranian counter-offensive there not dug in and are outside artillery support. It's advance, consolidate gains, and then choose to advance some more or stay put. Overall, this isn't about taking land right away, but wearing down the UA until they give up.
Exactly, think about being a Ukrainian soldier right now, even if you survive you are going to be acutely aware that you keep re-deploying, you hear constant bombardments then you get pulled out and keep going further and further west. Moral is going to collapse, nobody is going to have enthusiasm or the will to fight when for weeks even months you have been fighting and retreating again and again and again. It becomes really clear to the front line troops how things are going.

They’re limited by terrain features in many of the places they have made advances - after avdivka (sp?) the main road west heads into a sort of valley.
The RUaF took two villages below the elevations but then stopped, I doubt they could advance unless another force approaches from the north but I think they are held at… ehh… the place after Avdivka to the north

again, regarding Pivnichne, there was a mistake in the first place. Ukrainians recorded Russians bombing their positions at high rise buildings, , but they reported it was Ukrainians bombing on Russian positions.
Just like how Zelensky telling the world Russia have lost half of their army, no more tanks, no more planes, no more Black Sea fleet, no more ammo and no more men

Estados Unitas Mexicanos is the United Mexican States, or the United States of the Mexicans, hence "Mexico".
United States of America, hence "America", for example.
No other country in either North or South America has the word "America" in its name, so your statement while correct in naming people in two continents, when defining any country within those two continents it is incorrect except in one case.
It's like calling everyone in China, Thailand and Laos "Asians" or even Kenya, Mozambique, and Egypt Africans while only The Republic of South Africa has the word "Africa" in it's name.
Why would you want to replace the actual words used to identify the people of every country within two continents with a single word that they do not use to identify themselves and thereby remove their specific identity?
If you want to know which people you are referencing, you have to get specific.
Nobody in the Argentine Republic will identify as an "American", nor will it say "America" on their passport.
Would you also refer to the people of Papua New Guniea as Australians because they are technically within the continent of Australia?

Well it's not about taking territory really in attritional warfare. 3 inch 4 inch doesn't matter because in the end it's the bodycount. 3 feet can w8 untill the frontline buckles and collapses from lack of man power.

Looking at it another way, after 2 1/2 years and billions of dollars of aid, military support, training, weapons, equipment, intel etc they are still there and the World Bank has recently upgraded their economic rating.
To be honest, why would they want to move forward at a fast pace? The atacking forces become vulnerable to ambushes if they run in instead of slowly moving forwards. RusFed supply lines work very differently compared to Ukrainian ones, making rapid advances a gamble as well, while defence is easily supplied. There is no real reason for them to advance quickly.
Ukrainian collapse comtinues to accelerate, so will Russian gains. The attrition is starting to take a bigger effect on Ukraine's ability to defend.
According to Rybar, Vokshod is not yet under Russian control.
