We are actually original owners. We moved here in 2003. And one of the things that appealed to us was the beautiful green space and the wildlife in the lakes and ponds we have around our community. For many years, we didn't really pay a lot of attention beyond enjoying the aesthetic benefits of it. However, a few years back there was some concern; we noticed wildlife didn't seem to be as active and abundant and diverse. The banks on the shores kind of looked broken and a lot of exposed dirt. One of our neighbors, Frank Freestone, decided it was time to put groups of neighbors together to see what we could do about the problem and determine a plan of action, and also commit our board to making things happen for us.
