Really it is Mar 15th and it was 60* in the Twin Cities today . Basically it only get cold from about Nov to April. Meanwhile FL it is so hot that you cannot do anything for 9 month and goes the same with TX. The difference in MN when it get cold our energy grid is not going out either. Meanwhile in the town I love in we have 70k people and over 70 parks. The fact I can ride my bike in St Paul and Minneapolis and ride over 50 miles with very few mile sharing the road with car is amazing. What to go swimming. There is a lake 1 mile from my home that has a swimming beach. The people hear are a lot more friendly then they were when I lived in FL and TX. In fact in FL I had this horrible neighbor that basically stalked and made up crap to the homeowners so I was getting letters every day over BS stuff. Like one day I had to jump my car battery. Well 2 day later I get the this letter that car that can not start are not allowed to be stored on the drive way. J

i live in Wisconsin and yes Wisconsin deserves to be on the list you go more rural like I live in it's beautiful, nice ,calm, and no one bothers you perfect for people who just want to get away from everyone else if you just want to be left alone like it said in the video lot's of outdoor activities to do swimming, fishing, hiking, biking, and a ton of campsite alongside hunting sites
Greetings from Kyrgyzstan. In 2013 i stayed in Illinois, town Edwardsville, on educational program at University. Very beautiful nature there. The weather in Febtuary wasn 't cold but March was cold and it snowed a lot for two weeks.
Hello from Bangkok, I never get bored of being here, cheap standard of living, good food,shopping malls etc. So rich in cultures contrast by fine logistic communication. What else can you ask for more?
Try Baan Chan, near Jomtien and Pattaya. So many expats there, all the way to Rayong actually. There are also some really nice places on the Andaman coast in Myanmar. (Not great for expatting though) Pass on driving in Cambodia, regularly at least. Reminded of Louisiana roads. I really n eed to start an expat blog :) Good luck.
Glad to see Washington State is number one. a beautiful State especially in summer. I grew up in Seattle. I also love the city of Bellevue, Kirkland, and Redmond. It is nice and clean.
MN is better and cheaper. 😂😂. Washington is a nice state. I just cannot Phantom how Texas and Florida got on a list though, because I live in both states and they are horrible. Meanwhile TX put more people to death then all the other states combine and the crime is not any lower then any other place.

We lived in Illinois, the Chicago area, for about 5 years. The day we got out of there was one of the best days of my life. The weather is awful, the cities are dirty and crime ridden, the landscape is flat for most of the state. We left for NC, a lovely state!
I was a resident of MA between 1983-1995 and I have worked with top company in MA for 12 years. When recession of 1993 hit the state after the gulf war, I was terminated from my job and was unable to find anything for 2 years in MA. I forced to leave the state and sold my home at lost cost! I almost became a middle class homeless before I got out in 1995!

We utilized service center full time including schooling to upgrade technology for duration of two years full time with none stop. The resume I used prove to be ineffective in MA but can secure an interview in 5 different states. I had landed a job in CA and reused this version with modification and did not ran into issue until 2002.

Its residents are taxed to death, the education system is in shambles and Chicago has become a shooting gallery, with more murders than New York or Los Angeles, though NYC and LA are both considerably larger by population. The economy is in the toilet and unemployment is high. I couldn’t leave for Texas fast enough.

Only problem with Sarasota is my sister just had HOA fees doubled and almost no one wants to insure her/others in the area. So insurance for your home is INSANE
Apparently this so called study doesn't include the states I would have selected. The things I would have considered first are: 1) Low taxes, 2) Temperate climate, 3) Low crime rate, 4) Business opportunities, and 5) The warm personable PEOPLE ! And, as far as I can determine, my beloved state of Tennessee is #1 in all these things!
I live in Florida but I would consider moving to the great state of Tennessee. This video shows Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Minnesota as great places to live. I would cringe to live in any of those states!
@@barryand601 Only in Memphis which is as far West in the state as you can get. Knoxville and East Tennessee in general has a low crime rate. And in the Tri Cities area that includes Kingsport, Johnson City and Bristol has maybe the lowest.
Lived in Minnesota for 6 years and moving away! Winter here is harsh! Good if we have 2 months of summer. The rest is cold! Politics and schools here are just 🥴. But people are very nice! Nature is beautiful! But man the winter 😢
Houston , Texas has one area in downtown where there’s about big hospitals (1) MD Anderson (cancer) (2) Methodist , Neuro Opthalmic , cardiovascular ( heart transplant ) (3) St Luke ( medical , surgical , cardiovascular , heart transplant )(4) Herman ( diagnostic , medical surgical (5) orthopedics , rehab , more hospitals it’s a big circle you can work from one place to another .. When I worked in Methodist hospital , I was a private duty RN of Frank Sinatra’s mom , Guy Lombardo wife , this was the hospital where Howard Hughes was , many known celebrities from Hollywood goes to Methodist .. attractions (1) NASA space center (2) 50 miles , Galveston beach , swimming and some area crabbing and in one area was a place of restaurants of different kind like pier 39 of San Francisco, about 100 miles there’s San Antonio small Venice of USA , Austin , Texas beautiful place to visit , 7 flags , bowling etc … the weather is hot on summer and icy on winter seldom snow , Dallas snows there every year ..,
@@cossack-ps5hn tnx anyway , I l worked in Philadelphia at Thomas Jefferson University hospital, I love the long wood garden and on week ends when I am off we go either Washington DC and New York many things to do there , Washington DC is most beautiful during April wt the Cherry blossom festivals , then I worked in Houston , the house there are cheap , finally I worked and retired in California .. wow though the tax is high I also got kind of big retirement , many places to see here in California ; San Francisco golden gate is one and fisherman’s wharf and of course Southern California you have it all there but very very expensive house …

I've been there myself--lived and worked in 10 states but always dreamed of settling down in some white picket fence kind of place where the hands on the social clock read 70 years ago. I found such a place (more or less), only instead of picket fences there's barbed wire fences. I hang my hat in San Antonio now--not too sophisticated a place but nonetheless a Mayberry.

Property taxes are 8percent of home value retail tax is 9 per cent. I live in this State. Tell your kids to become a teacher. $120 to $140 K for 180 days of work and 5 hrs of student contact per day.

I wouldn't move to Arizona. It is expensive and overcrowded and I would never move to Idaho. I was born and raised here and it is not the panacea everyone thinks it is. It's very low-income, poor for jobs as it is a right-to-work state and is a very right-wing, extremist, fascist state. We have more hate groups in this state than any place in the country. The school system is ranked as one of the worst in the country. Not to mention very poor health and mental health accessibility. Housing is extremely high-priced so if you don't have a lot of money to invest in a place to live this state is not for you.
Colorado is on the list! Good to see that! But they should be #1. One thing that makes Colorado great is they do not get as much rain as somewhere I know. And sure! Washington State could be promising too! Except! Seattle get WAY TOO MANY Rainy Days. One place that is a good place to live in Washington State is Kennewick. And I’d live there if I had to live in that State at all. Kennewick along with the 2 other Tri-Cities of Pasco & Richland just like the State of Colorado don’t get as much rain as many other places. Texas? Whatever I lived in Irving from 1998 to 2001 because that's where the job was. All things considered, it paid well compared to other states for equivalent jobs. However I'm big time into outdoor *physical* activities, and the air quality was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't imagine that it has gotten better since then The weather was just plain bad as well Not anywhere close to warm in the winter with strong cold damp winds BRUTAL heat in the summer Not totally horrible during some of the spring... that is, right around tornado season I guess it depends what you consider "quality of living"
I have visited and/or lived in 47 of these 50 states. I have lived in California, Arizona, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Taxachusetts, Connecticut, and now Texas. By the way, it is too damn HOT in Central Texas. I admit that I am a male polar bear. Virginia is my favorite state and Manassas, Virginia is my next chapter in my life. I have definitively decided to relocate out of Texas and into Virginia by 2024 or early 2025. Did I mention that it is WAY too damn HOT every single day in Central Texas. When you basically only have 2 seasons, Summer (super hot) and the rest of the year is still pretty damn warm as the average temperature even in December is between 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit. I was stationed at Lowry AFB in Denver in the mid Eighties. I loved Colorado. Absolutely loved it.

There is practically no industry there because the "good politics" of that state prohibits new industries from moving in. If a current industry shuts down, a new industry cannot take the building over. Jobs are scarce there as a result.

As a guy who lived in 10 states in the U.S., I would agree with 1 state that I lived in. Virginia. Overall, a fine state. The rest, I did not live in, but the state of Washington being #1 does not make sense to me! Also, you will freeze your butt off in Mass. , NH. Wisconsin, and Illinois.

I live for cold weather, snow, ice, skiing, snowboarding. I need the 4 seasons and miss the cyclical changes every 3 months. I was a long term resident in Connecticut (40+ years) and eventually left because the outrageous high cost of living. I have also lived in New York, New Jersey, Taxachusetts, Minnesota, Arizona, California, and now I am a Texas resident in the capitol city of Austin. I am ONLY here in Texas for work. Other than the excellent economy and the booming job market, particuluarly in the IT and Cyber Security field that I just recently transitioned into in March of 2023. The food is much better in New England, especially for Breakfast. Virginia is a Righteous State to live in. That is my next chapter of my life. I will be living in the Manassas, Virginia area by late 2024 or early 2025.

The median costs are wayyy outdated here. You will not find a house in Texas for less than 200k unless you’re in the middle of nowhere, let alone the median house costing 180k.

It just depends on where you live at and when you buy a house. I’m west texas you can definitely find houses for less than $200k if you look at the right time.

In regards to Florida, as someone who grew up in Miami and has lived here for over 40 years I can tell you whom ever did this video is not in touch with real estate. While I love living in Miami for a million reasons and will never leave, I can tell you that the cost of real estate here (home values and rentals) are OUT OF CONTROL ! I have been a landlord for over 30 years and I am ashamed of how much I am collecting on my rentals...but the market is the market. As far as medium home values, whoever did this video is not informed at all. You make $50K a year...you will better find an small studio with not kitchen (essentially a room in some ones house) or a bridge to live under. Looking to buy anything for under $400K....good luck ! I love where I live in south Florida....but to say this is not one of the most expensive places to live in the US is irresponsible. Just do your homework before you plunge t come here. As you move away from south Florida prices start to ease a little (specially in the center away from the coasts) However, the real estate values in FL have grown exponentially even in areas that are not near the coast. There are plenty of poe-dunk areas in the center and north of the state where the values are way lower....but who the hell wants to live there....other than for the weather.
My advice, if you are considering a big move to Florida. Rent first. Many new residents discover living in Florida full-time is drastically different than when they are on vacation. I worked 30 plus years and lived in south Florida. I couldn't afford to live in home if I still owned the property. Check out insurance rates if you can find an agent to cover your home. Do your due diligence BEFORE you make a decision.
Cost of living is not cheap in Florida. I moved here from Connecticut and there's really not a large difference. Rent and home buying prices are ridiculous. You definitely get more bang for your buck as far as activities and things to do.

I was talking to a relative in St. Petersburg, I was surprised when she mentioned the amount she was paying for rent. It wasn't cheap. It sounded a lot like Connecticut rent prices actually.😢

Minnesota is good if you love the year round snow and extremely bitter cold. i ran away from there because i couldn't stand the cold anymore.
Really it is Mar 15th and it was 60* in the Twin Cities today . Basically it only get cold from about Nov to April. Meanwhile FL it is so hot that you cannot do anything for 9 month and goes the same with TX. The difference in MN when it get cold our energy grid is not going out either. Meanwhile in the town I love in we have 70k people and over 70 parks. The fact I can ride my bike in St Paul and Minneapolis and ride over 50 miles with very few mile sharing the road with car is amazing. What to go swimming. There is a lake 1 mile from my home that has a swimming beach. The people hear are a lot more friendly then they were when I lived in FL and TX. In fact in FL I had this horrible neighbor that basically stalked and made up crap to the homeowners so I was getting letters every day over BS stuff. Like one day I had to jump my car battery. Well 2 day later I get the this letter that car that can not start are not allowed to be stored on the drive way. J

Try Baan Chan, near Jomtien and Pattaya. So many expats there, all the way to Rayong actually. There are also some really nice places on the Andaman coast in Myanmar. (Not great for expatting though) Pass on driving in Cambodia, regularly at least. Reminded of Louisiana roads. I really n eed to start an expat blog :) Good luck.

We lived in Illinois, the Chicago area, for about 5 years. The day we got out of there was one of the best days of my life. The weather is awful, the cities are dirty and crime ridden, the landscape is flat for most of the state. We left for NC, a lovely state!
Pennsylvania is pretty great. Affordable, culture abound and we get a little of everything but not alot of anything regarding climate.
I was a resident of MA between 1983-1995 and I have worked with top company in MA for 12 years. When recession of 1993 hit the state after the gulf war, I was terminated from my job and was unable to find anything for 2 years in MA. I forced to leave the state and sold my home at lost cost! I almost became a middle class homeless before I got out in 1995!

We utilized service center full time including schooling to upgrade technology for duration of two years full time with none stop. The resume I used prove to be ineffective in MA but can secure an interview in 5 different states. I had landed a job in CA and reused this version with modification and did not ran into issue until 2002.

Its residents are taxed to death, the education system is in shambles and Chicago has become a shooting gallery, with more murders than New York or Los Angeles, though NYC and LA are both considerably larger by population. The economy is in the toilet and unemployment is high. I couldn’t leave for Texas fast enough.

Apparently this so called study doesn't include the states I would have selected. The things I would have considered first are: 1) Low taxes, 2) Temperate climate, 3) Low crime rate, 4) Business opportunities, and 5) The warm personable PEOPLE ! And, as far as I can determine, my beloved state of Tennessee is #1 in all these things!
I live in Florida but I would consider moving to the great state of Tennessee. This video shows Wisconsin, Massachusetts, Illinois, and Minnesota as great places to live. I would cringe to live in any of those states!

Lived in Minnesota for 6 years and moving away! Winter here is harsh! Good if we have 2 months of summer. The rest is cold! Politics and schools here are just 🥴. But people are very nice! Nature is beautiful! But man the winter 😢
Houston , Texas has one area in downtown where there’s about big hospitals (1) MD Anderson (cancer) (2) Methodist , Neuro Opthalmic , cardiovascular ( heart transplant ) (3) St Luke ( medical , surgical , cardiovascular , heart transplant )(4) Herman ( diagnostic , medical surgical (5) orthopedics , rehab , more hospitals it’s a big circle you can work from one place to another .. When I worked in Methodist hospital , I was a private duty RN of Frank Sinatra’s mom , Guy Lombardo wife , this was the hospital where Howard Hughes was , many known celebrities from Hollywood goes to Methodist .. attractions (1) NASA space center (2) 50 miles , Galveston beach , swimming and some area crabbing and in one area was a place of restaurants of different kind like pier 39 of San Francisco, about 100 miles there’s San Antonio small Venice of USA , Austin , Texas beautiful place to visit , 7 flags , bowling etc … the weather is hot on summer and icy on winter seldom snow , Dallas snows there every year ..,

I've been there myself--lived and worked in 10 states but always dreamed of settling down in some white picket fence kind of place where the hands on the social clock read 70 years ago. I wouldn't move to Arizona. It is expensive and overcrowded and I would never move to Idaho. I was born and raised here and it is not the panacea everyone thinks it is. It's very low-income, poor for jobs as it is a right-to-work state and is a very right-wing, extremist, fascist state. We have more hate groups in this state than any place in the country. The school system is ranked as one of the worst in the country. Not to mention very poor health and mental health accessibility. Housing is extremely high-priced so if you don't have a lot of money to invest in a place to live this state is not for you.
Arizona is 10th highest dangerous in the state. I just listen 10 most dangerous.

Colorado is on the list! Good to see that! But they should be #1. One thing that makes Colorado great is they do not get as much rain as somewhere I know. And sure! Washington State could be promising too! Except! Seattle get WAY TOO MANY Rainy Days. One place that is a good place to live in Washington State is Kennewick. And I’d live there if I had to live in that State at all. Kennewick along with the 2 other Tri-Cities of Pasco & Richland just like the State of Colorado don’t get as much rain as many other places. Even giving they are still in the Northwest where it is more common. So yeah! Unfortunately! I live in the Northwest myself. But I live in AWFUL Oregon. And I thank you for not putting them on there! And I’d move to lovely Colorado if I had money to move out of the Dump State of Oregon. So for those of you who have never been to Oregon! Take my advise! Don’t EVER go there. I got more depressed than I’ve ever been before because of that. And I was lucky to be alive afterwords! Because I was afraid I was going to dye from all that depression. And Yes! The natives are selfish and self centered like CA, and violent like FL so far as road rage is concerned when they see an out of state plate. It’s the worst state in the US for moving to. Been living here Reno,Nevada since 1985.To me this city & estate 🏡 is the Best place to live,crime low,even people here do not earn huge income rent compare to most of USA city is still low.Reason why most Californians move here cost of housing not so high.Lots of companies move here taking advantage of No Estate Tax,even in salary.Climate so good not easy to have typhoon due to our mountains that cover our city& it’s Dry Heat & gets colder by October & we have beautiful clean snow during winter time,Love you Reno🏞️❤️🇺🇸🙏

I have visited 38 states and Vermont should be in top ten/even number one. Safety, good politics and low crime rate are just a few of great things.
I have visited and/or lived in 47 of these 50 states. I have lived in California, Arizona, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, Taxachusetts, Connecticut, and now Texas. By the way, it is too damn HOT in Central Texas. I admit that I am a male polar bear. Virginia is my favorite state and Manassas, Virginia is my next chapter in my life. I have definitively decided to relocate out of Texas and into Virginia by 2024 or early 2025.
Did I mention that it is WAY too damn HOT every single day in Central Texas.
When you basically only have 2 seasons, Summer (super hot) and the rest of the year is still pretty damn warm as the average temperature even in December is between 60 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit.
I was stationed at Lowry AFB in Denver in the mid Eighties. I loved Colorado. Absolutely loved it.

Good politics???🤪🤪🤪. Vermont always had an issue with serial killers since it's founding, also. It's a poor state where the number 1 industry is making and selling home handicrafts. There is practically no industry there because the "good politics" of that state prohibits new industries from moving in. If a current industry shuts down, a new industry cannot take the building over. Jobs are scarce there as a result.

As a guy who lived in 10 states in the U.S., I would agree with 1 state that I lived in. Virginia. Overall, a fine state. The rest, I did not live in, but the state of Washington being #1 does not make sense to me! Also, you will freeze your butt off in Mass. , NH. Wisconsin, and Illinois.

I live for cold weather, snow, ice, skiing, snowboarding. I need the 4 seasons and miss the cyclical changes every 3 months. I was a long term resident in Connecticut (40+ years) and eventually left because the outrageous high cost of living. I have also lived in New York, New Jersey, Taxachusetts, Minnesota, Arizona, California, and now I am a Texas resident in the capitol city of Austin.
I am ONLY here in Texas for work. Other than the excellent economy and the booming job market, particuluarly in the IT and Cyber Security field that I just recently transitioned into in March of 2023.
The food is much better in New England, especially for Breakfast.
Virginia is a Righteous State to live in. That is my next chapter of my life. I will be living in the Manassas, Virginia area by late 2024 or early 2025.

The median costs are wayyy outdated here. You will not find a house in Texas for less than 200k unless you’re in the middle of nowhere, let alone the median house costing 180k.

It just depends on where you live at and when you buy a house. I’m west texas you can definitely find houses for less than $200k if you look at the right time.

In regards to Florida, as someone who grew up in Miami and has lived here for over 40 years I can tell you whom ever did this video is not in touch with real estate. While I love living in Miami for a million reasons and will never leave, I can tell you that the cost of real estate here (home values and rentals) are OUT OF CONTROL ! I have been a landlord for over 30 years and I am ashamed of how much I am collecting on my rentals...but the market is the market. As far as medium home values, whoever did this video is not informed at all. You make $50K a year...you will better find an small studio with not kitchen (essentially a room in some ones house) or a bridge to live under. Looking to buy anything for under $400K....good luck !
I love where I live in south Florida....but to say this is not one of the most expensive places to live in the US is irresponsible. Just do your homework before you plunge t come here. As you move away from south Florida prices start to ease a little (specially in the center away from the coasts) However, the real estate values in FL have grown exponentially even in areas that are not near the coast. There are plenty of poe-dunk areas in the center and north of the state where the values are way lower....but who the hell wants to live there....other than for the weather.

My advice, if you are considering a big move to Florida. Rent first. Many new residents discover living in Florida full-time is drastically different than when they are on vacation. I worked 30 plus years and lived in south Florida. I couldn't afford to live in home if I still owned the property. Check out insurance rates if you can find an agent to cover your home. Do your due diligence BEFORE you make a decision.

Cost of living is not cheap in Florida. I moved here from Connecticut and there's really not a large difference. Rent and home buying prices are ridiculous. You definitely get more bang for your buck as far as activities and things to do.
