Solid advice Tony.. I’ve found myself trying to keep up and finally realizing it… it is easy to get cut up in the excitement of a new release when you love the hobby!
Best to enjoy the hobby and video it second if you want to for memory I love collecting and building rc cars been that way for years glad to hear your message 💯💯 I can see the emotion in what you said 💯💯thanks for the cool video 💪
Thank you for your honest, true and important words at the end of the video. In today's media-dominated and consumption oriented time, it is so important to point out the true values in life and to show the reality behind the scenes. Not quantity but quality counts, everywhere in life. Try to be happy and content in whatever you do and try to make others happy in the process. Amen 🙏🏻😉 We got back into the rc hobby about 1,5 years ago. And at the moment the favourite cars of me and my son (6) are the Graupner Impuls 2000, that started the hobby grade rc thing back in the 90s, the SG1602/HBX16890, the ECX Brutus, the Traxxas Bigfoot Firestone, of course the Losi LMT and the Hobbyplus CR-18. Stay the way you are. We want to enjoy a ton more fun videos of and with you 😉 Best wishes from Germany🤙🏻
Thank you very much for taking the time to write all that Mathias! Sounds like you've got some really fun RCs! I'm not going away. I love RC and making videos. It's fun to blend my two passions.
Great message at the end. You’re so right, it’s easy to find yourself envious of all these channels vehicles. Just have to live vicariously through them! In fact, I really like watching RC content of vehicles I won’t ever own.
Nice to see this! I was recently just given the Grave Digger 30th anniversary stampede. I want to run it but kinda afraid being it’s the rare one! Your message at the end is right on point. I always want the newest thing out there and I have bought a lot but when it comes down to it there is only 3 or 4 out of my collection that are my go too and bring me the most joy.
@@CCxRC I know eh. Though.. thats traxxis. They build a tough rc. Sorry I don't comment enough man.. sometimes I feel bad haha.... so many awesome channels out there, so little time.. I always give a like. Kids take so much time haha, plus trying to keep up with my own channel. Keep up the awesome work man.
Great run with the ol' girl. It was good seeing it out on the go again. I remember this thing flying around the "old" back yard you had. Still awesome fun!! Always a Blast Rcing. I couldn't agree with you more Tony. If you got the latest and you like it, GREAT!! If you got a fleet of old scx10's and just love the Hell out of driving them all, GREAT!! whatever floats your boat. Most people with big collections. Don't make that happen overnight. It takes years in some cases. But start with one and go from there when you can.. thumbs up here as usual brother
Loved to see this video. I too have the same truck. It was a Christmas present from my mother. She purchased Max D for my son and Monster Mutt for my nephew. Fast forward to today I have them all. Also purchased the new Bigfoot edition from Traxxas to fill an open spot on the shelf.
Awesome video and the comments at the end. I got out of the hobby years ago because I was racing and trying to keep up with everyone else. I didn’t enjoy it so it was time to move on. I recently got back into it and have had to limit myself and not get in over my head trying to keep up with the newest cars. I’ve decided to scale back and enjoy what I have. Thanks for all the great content.
2wd drives are awesome and super fun different driving experience but so much easier to work less stuff to break ! Just recently picked up a team associated pro 2 2wd short course truck
Great to see you out with this again. I have the same Gravedigger with the VXL brushless setup and I love it. As much as I enjoy my other more expensive 4wd trucks I agree you can have just as much fun with these older 2wd trucks.
You and Mark Santa Maria both have had these 2wd Stampede videos recently, and it’s made me feel very nostalgic. Couldn’t be more right about having vehicles for their given purposes/holes to fill and that’s it. My first RC was also a stampede and I should never have sold it. It probably had the most fun per dollar of any rc that I’ve ever owned. I’m going to get another one and stick the old body on it that I still have lying around and send it like old times! Keep RC fun!!
they are great trucks I miss my sunuva digger version I had!! they run great too... I put tamiya anti wear grease on the gears in the diff and it worked great. Good for you Tony you are correct you can have fun with any RC and having fun is what it's all about. Nice video.
Nice video! The Stampede was also one of my first Monster Trucks. I remember doing backflips on 3S with it. Still a lot of fun after over a decade. Now it’s my kids turn to rip it up.
Bro,what memory's!! My 1st rc is the Axail scx Scorpion!!! 3 motor, 2nd servo..,& still mostly stock!! With ripsaw 2.2s! Oh ive upgraded all 4links!!! Love ur shows..P.S.got same GraveDigger body for my moms Emaxx,.,but she pasted,& I hung on the wall..Godspeed my friend!!
Great video and message at the end, always fun to break out old rc’s if you still have them. Unfortunately I’ve had to sell a lot of mine to buy different ones over the years. Now I have 2 LMT’s and they are the best I’ve ever owned, if I don’t get anything else I’d be fine with that.
Dont know how Im just seeing this video now but solid advice for sure. You are right, I buy everything I review on my channel, just can't keep up with every new rc that comes out. Awesome video!
Awesome vid.. The part at the end was great because I think a lot of people tend to want everything and don't enjoy what they have.. I fell into that boat last year when I bought 10 rc's ( some were for my son tho ) ...This year Im going to limit myself to 2.......maybe 5...haha
Always love your videos. I have the brushless version just like yours. It does have its fun factor. The new sledge reminds me of the revo 3.3 but how it should be electric. The hobby shop here posted the price of $1080 Canadian. Not sure how I feel about that. I do have that hole that I need a new rc but what. Once again thank you for the awesome video and great advice.
ive got mine on my lap right now, its also my first hobby grade rc just got my second a traxxas unassembled slash last week and built it up, it felt nostalgic because it uses alot of parts from the stampede and ive opened my grave digger up alot to do maintenance back in the day
Cool to know about the Team Corally Triton. You are right. It's not cheap for small creators. But it's actually gotten more expensive for me as my channel has grown. I have been fronting most of the costs. I do get some pre-release ones, but have paid out very big numbers.
My girls have the original Pink Stamped the are fun fun. Actually I have a fresh motor for it it’s all so needs a body. I ran over it last year lol 👌👌👍👍👍. I made to the end . You have a good point what is right for you and your budget. I You have more fun. I thank
Thinking about buying Losi lmt on sale today, Canada’s sale is a lil weaker as the cost is higher but same discount. Would be my first “basher” and not just something I converted after I was finished racing it.
cool video! do you know if they make a longer chassis that would fit a 3s lipo that would go in a Erevo 2.0? Love my 2wd stampedes. just not little battery trays
$1400 in Australia Tony. Priced me out of thier market. Just so much more for less $$$$ avail. Great advice. It's just not different enough! For what! to see if its as good as my current rigs. it will not be $1400 better that's for sure. Waiting for something new different before dropping such a huge sum from Traxxas. This one is not it I'm afraid.
What about some of the UA-camr's that get a bunch of free car and hop-ups? They don't pay for shit. Then they tell everyone that they need to go out and buy it. That has always annoyed me. I have to buy everything that I own.
Solid advice Tony.. I’ve found myself trying to keep up and finally realizing it… it is easy to get cut up in the excitement of a new release when you love the hobby!
Good ole 2wd. Respect from Michigan
This was my first hobby grade RC too back in the day 🤘🏼😆 also I’m really glad you made the comments you did at the end of the video, nailed it.
It was pretty hard to resist the Grave Digger RC on the shelf. :)
C'mon who doesn't like a 2wd stampede!!! The things are awesome 😎
Couldn’t have said it better myself! 👍🏻🍻
good point! enjoy RC at whatever level you can afford to enjoy it. Lots of fun in all types and brands!
Well said! ...oh...and ALL SIZES. :)

And I do post videos and buy all mine, so I know how expensive it can get. But as long as you are comfortable with the cost it works.
totally agree. It all comes down to what you are comfortable paying out. More RCs doesn't necessarily equal more fun is my main point.

Thank you for bring this subject up. It's true, its very expensive to keep up.
It’s weird that we’ve built this “need to keep up” mentality. It’s not a race to get the most RCs. It’s just about having fun with an RC.
Those were great trucks.
I had a plan old stampede.
Was a tank.
it's amazing the punishment they can take.
