DJ, another excellent job of breaking down the game film. I agree totally with your input. I'm a fan of your channel and knowledge of the game...stay after it!
Ja'quindin Jackson said it best during a post game interview a few weeks ago, when he told Taylen, "Stop being so jittery, man." Jittery = Nervousness + Lack of Confidence = NOT SEC Quarterback Caliber. Otherwise, he seems like a fine young man. It's time to give an ultimatum.
I get what you're saying, but an ultimatum, and I'm assuming you mean BP threatening to bench him, would certainly not help him relax. The way to go about it is to tell Taylen he's your guy and you're going to be patient while he learns. But, if BP realizes at some point it's not going to happen, then get someone else ready and just bench him. Threats don't work. You can see Taylen is deer in the headlights right now.
@@jeffharris6331 I would also point out that BP plays the long game both with installing his system, and coaching qb's. People expecting everything to be roses out of the gate aren't giving BP any credit. They didn't call him the QB whisperer for nothing. And you're right about committing to a player. BP already knew full well all of Taylen's issues, and he knows those things take time on the field to iron out. And if it doesn't work, then you can move on. When BP first started as HC here all those years ago, it took him about a season and a quarter to get everything the way he wanted it, and I hope the fan base can allow him that time. It will pay off in the long run.

Clearly the guy that pulling from the left side of the line to the right isn't the athlete that we has before running that play. But just letting you know you can see the correct execution if you go back to that game.
I love your videos bro because it makes me feel validated, like I’m sitting here watching this game just so frustrated, our O-line is so bad I don’t even get it. Thank you 🫡
I think that Petrino's pride is in the way that's why he won't play Singleton. Green is BP's pick and he just can't take the fact that he messed up by taking Green.
I'm an Aggie. Arkansas played very well. Aggies got lucky. That's just football. Try 5 years of Jimbo Fisher...that is misery Arkansas has the talent to go head to head with any SEC team.
Green was at least 50% of why they lost. The rest was the O Line. I said it after the Auburn game that any team we go up against now just needs to know to put on QB pressure and they're going to crumble. I'm no football expert by any means, but when it's that obvious and it's not being addressed there's an issue.
Doubling up on comments here and I apologize, but what worries me the most when it's an o-line issue, is that it isn't really something that typically gets better in the course of a season. It just is what it is and you have to find some way to work around it.
I seen the black stock play all game, he was double teaming the dline with guard and leaving the edge rusher free the whole game, it was killing me, I didn’t play dline but i could see everytime he was leaving edge rusher free, i played db in highschool I’m no defensive genius when it comes to schemes but i kept wondering why the oline coach nor Pittman were telling him to take that edge rusher
Time to allow Singleton to prepare for Tennessee as a starter. Too many impulse passing by Green and his completion percentage won’t Cut it in the SEC. HE’s known for his lack of discernment when picking out receivers. Time is now for a change!
I love how Green tries to keep a pass play a pass play. I thought KJ was horrible at that. As soon as he tucked it he was looking for somebody to run into, and the pass was over. But, Taylen seems to just want to hurl bombs, as soon as he gets loose. He needs to realize we only need 10 yards at a time. He needs a rule he can only throw 10-15 yards on a scramble, unless receiver is WIDE open.
Sam made the call for the trick play, & the time out before it. Bobby wanted to kick it, which he still should have, Sam needs to let Bobby do his job, & ask Travis about those player rotations on D line. Sam is fighting the play calling, causing a mess on offense, the QB is not good in the pocket period, & the defense is the only reason why we are not 1-4 right now.
@4th_and_Five Yup. I went to the camp as a QB, but I was ass. You caught my horribly thrown football 😂 That's the only reason why I can remember it all these years later.
@@Desnes7 I assume you mean Malachi. And he literally threw one pass in that game. The only time we've see him get playing time was UAPB where he was 8-10 for 120 yards.
@Desnes7 I'm not saying Singleton is it. But we won't know until he gets a few series to burn that adrenalin off some. Not fair to judge him on one series. He located the open receiver, just under threw him.
It has got to be so frustrating to be one of the best RB's in the SEC, and get stuck behind such a bad, patchwork O-Line. It also really does make it harder to really see what the rest of your offense is really made of. It's been THE worst aspect of the Pittman Era Hogs, and the irony there I'm sure isn't lost on anyone. We know Green has issues, but I do wonder how much better he might look if we had a good line.
The offensive line: Blackstock = one of the many undeveloped. We’ve had guys like Ty’keiast Crawford up there for years, that can’t break the starting lineup. Emarion Harris is supposed to be a tackle, but has to play guard because the overrated Kutus is out. Addison Nichols is a guard, but was pressed into service as a center because Sam put all of his eggs into the failed recruitment of the SMU transfer center. The second string center got destroyed at Okie State when Nichols got hurt and looks very small compared to the other linemen. Big Joe Moore has been brought in from Syracuse to ride the bench. He could play right tackle, as could Harris. And yes, Blackstock is here for the money.
I just can’t be too upset with TG when our offensive line is that atrocious. He’s new to this system and it seems like every play he’s having to explain what’s about to happen to the RB’s and show them where to line up while he should be mentally focused on what the defense is showing. He is such a great athlete and I just know Petrino can get him where he needs to be. I remember people saying Casey Dick wasn’t an SEC quarterback and Petrino transformed him during his last season.
Man, its been 5 games. He throws interctions every game. I think at this point its time to try someone else. I feel like if he could fix Green he would have by now but it clearly is not working.
Great analysis DJ, I think everything you are showing is glaringly obvious. So here's the deal,..TG should have been way past all this by now. This is all figured out in the spring just like offensive line stuff. If I'm gonna lose, I'm gonna lose with my younger players. TG is making the same mistakes over and over, as a matter of fact, he's been behind the receivers since game 1!!! KJ Jefferson wasn't much different but he had some receivers make circus catches for him when it was basically just a poorly thrown ball. I don't know how much longer you give TG and MAN with his skill set I was praying he would work out, but I'm afraid we bought a lemon. Man I was hoping our Oline issues were fixed but that right side is just awful and mainly right tackle. What would it be like in a world where TG had some time? I don't even know. But he's gotta stay in the pocket and stop getting happy feet and just deliver the ball to the open receivers and he HAS OPEN RECEIVERS!! Okay,...rant over. Nice work and great show DJ!!
Many Ags complaining about Reed. But Ark was his only 4th starting game as a redshirt. Green seems to be very slowly developing in comparison considering overall playing time. Petrino is in a bad spot.
It looks to me like Taylen's issues are between the ears. He's looking for one receiver and then starts running with the hopes of someone getting open or him just pulling it down to run it. This is causing him to leave big gains, 1st downs, and potential TD's on the field. My question: Does his accuracy and progression get better on the run? If so, can BP game plan to play into that? Thanks and enjoy the breakdown
Hey people how are you loving the NIL world, you have players who quit when they claim they're not being paid then you have players like Blackstock talking smack about Arkansas can't afford him and then he UNDERPERFORMS like Green but those guys are getting paid too much money to sit them and the backups somehow perform better then they will want that payday, from day one the NIL was trash they should've had regulations on NIL but I believe this was the plan all along to do away with college amateur football.
Sam Pittman has got to go. It’s time… Also, the QB position should be up for grabs given what we’ve seen from TG. It might make more sense to give the young guns a shot to gather some experience, as I don’t see us getting much improved play from TG at this juncture with him being a Junior.
I would bet on the TO for not enough men on the FG unit it had to do with our injured TEs not being able to go out on Special Teams and a backup not paying attention.
Are we keeping qb1 because of contract when he’s not performing? Same thing with kj last year. Why have qb2 if they can’t play. Does qb2 get reps with 1 team in practice.
Yep, it has to be a contract. I can't fathom how Singleton hasn't got a chance. I guess we are worried too much about money we don't care about winning.
Great commentary DJ. You don't know how long I've been waiting for someone who knows football to break down game footage so we can understand what went right or wrong. The fat pasty white guy media that covers UA football doesn't have a clue (sorry, couldn't help myself). During the game, I noticed the backup D-line was on the field for A&M's last drive when we were up 17-14, and I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Please find out why and let us know. They did come back on the field for the last play from the 5, which resulted in a touchdown, but come on, way too late. Also, what is Kutas' lower back status? He played right tackle some last season and could help if he can get healthy.
Taylen put the ball on the ground 4 time's and shouldve thrown 3 pics with a pic six. That last strip sack was a clean enough pocket to step up and hit a wide open Jackson for 20 to 30 yard gain. My girl just surprised me with Texas tickets. Thats gonna be a long 9 hour drive back to Kentucky smh.
A questions really need to be swirling around in peoples heads 1. When do we change out QB 2. When do we start REALLY talking about head coaching change At some point the fans are just going to get tired of watching a team lose close games over and over. What is the actual issue?????? Without having a firm grasp on what the issue really is and you break down play by play, it looks like guys are just throwing games - I know that cannot be the case, but man these are some really terrible plays
I don't understand (other than paying him too much money) why Petrino/Pittman insist on keeping Green in. He is a terrible passer and turns the ball over way too much. There are open guys he blatantly misses. I can't get behind Green. Our O-Line is the same old same old. Time for Pittman to go. Honestly clean the house.
For me it's simple, Green cannot read the field and find the open WR and the offensive line sucks when it comes to pass protection. The Hogs have great RBs and WRs and a damn good defense. Thank you for the breakdown of why plays didn't go well.
Like and subscribe let’s grow this channel! This is the best channel that breaks down film and has already taught me a lot about different line up’s and just more about the playbook and football in general. I love this content and my go to when I want to get a review of a game or next week’s opponent! Great stuff DJ!!
And on one of our drives your defender practically tackled our TE to prevent him from having a chance to catch the ball on a crucial third down and no pass interference was called. Ref's missed calls on both sides bud.
@@garydavis8213 my point exactly. Don’t cry about a missed call when you got bailed out of missed calls just as much. Your own man admitted in this video that your line created gaps and gave green time by constantly holding bc they straight up couldn’t block us.
I like Pittman and his strength is supposed to be O-Line. Bilema’s O-line blocked better and didn’t have guys going unblocked every series. Green is over his head and is scared. I don’t know if it’s from taking a hit or making a mistake but he’s scared. In a world of paid college players until we get more NIL money looks forward to seeing this mess on the football field.
He won't come. Has unlimited NIL Money now that paying players is legal. Saw where some Highland park Billionaire has dedicated 100 million to SMU football. Arkansas does not have access to that and will lose half the team to the portal during the coaching change. HY screwed up not getting Kiffin. This coaching change is not just going to cost money but likely kill the program. Much like Rice back in the 50's, they built the big stadium only to have it stay empty after the losses mounted. People are not going to buy tickets to see the home team get demolished. Students will come with their free tickets. I remember the Rice fraternity chanting during a Hatfield beatdown in the 80's, "That's alright, that's OK, You'll all work for us someday". For Arkansas, it will just be another SEC game, another drubbing. Like Vandy, you are a rent a win.
All on Yurachek. No one in their right mind hires a guy who has never been ahead coach to take on the SEC. Should have outbid Ole Miss for Kiffin. If he has to fire Sam after this it may be really hard to get anyone other than Barry Odom to take the job.
He literally pointed out what anyone who understands football past 7th grade sees, Taylen green is running when he doesn’t have to most of the time. No QB has 10 seconds to throw the ball every time he drops back, Green is not smart and cannot see the field on top of having no arm talent, needs to be on the bench if the coaching staff even cares about saving their job
I'll agree....but, don't think TG isn't adding to it himself. He looks for (1) receiver and stares him down from the moment he gets' the snap. His accuracy is hit and miss at the best even when he does have times. As BP has tried to tell him, he has got to be "Poised under Pressure". they have plays that specifically move him out of the pocket because of the OL. ( Blackstone is NOT a tackle and his footwork is too slow, possibly along with his reaction/ comprehensive skills for that position). Again, I agree that TG has more yards running horizontally than vertically because of them but, he's definitely not helping his cause in many more areas than that.
@@JacobSocia of course I agree with DJ. But remember KJ couldn't get shit going either. All signs point to an O line that is better than last year, but still not good enough. Green doesn't trust his guys and then makes dumbass decisions
blackstock is horrible, he’s been a cancer ever since he was at coffeyville college, no clue why sam brought him in, he’s all about nil and himself, hope they kick him off the team
It’s crazy cause I think we had a better team even with the mistakes. Teslaa needs to be a target and screens need to be utilized more . Replace blackstock he needs to be benched and or take his NIL away he has already played five games. He has one year left he isn’t going to another school with that film.
I know the oline is terrible but there are opportunities that Green is missing. Guys wide open and he mistgrows or doesn’t spot them. He clearly isn’t going through his progressions. That’s qb 101. He actually has an arm. If he’s missing throws and making bad reads it might be time to try another guy. The game might be too fast for him
Taylen's lack of reading through progressions drives me insane.
Dj we need to talk about the fact broden is 6'7 but plays 4'11

Broden height inflated. I sized him up after a game last year. I'm 6'3 He really just 6'5ish. Definitely not 6'7. That's cap.

Singleton needs to be the starter period taylen green isn't going to change.
Green was at least 50% of why they lost. The rest was the O Line. I said it after the Auburn game that any team we go up against now just needs to know to put on QB pressure and they're going to crumble. I'm no football expert by any means, but when it's that obvious and it's not being addressed there's an issue.
i’m not saying you’re wrong but you put most qb’s under pressure, they’re not great
Bro how did I not know DJ Williams had a pod? Instant subscribe and WPS baby
great film breakdown from someone who really lived the game, all these couch coaches are laughable
Aggie fan, awesome breakdowns. Wish you could do A&M film every week
Thanks. And maybe one day we can do all SEC schools
Too many impulse passing by Green and his completion percentage won’t
Cut it in the SEC. HE’s known for his lack of discernment when picking out receivers. Time is now for a change!
Gonna replace that whole online aswell ? Because singleton will get detroyed behind this oline
Did you not see Singleton play against auburn?
Great stuff! Thank you for the breakdown!
Good breakdown, boss.
I swear I threw a pass to you during a fall Razorback camp in the 06-07 year. You had sticky hands lol.
Oh wow
@4th_and_Five Yup. I went to the camp as a QB, but I was ass. You caught my horribly thrown football 😂 That's the only reason why I can remember it all these years later.
Hard to believe BP hasn’t changed QB’s yet. Greens decision making is as terrible as his throwing ability.
Absolutely horrible! He's the same qb Boise st sat on the bench. The exact same qb!!!
It has to be due to the money they are paying Green. I cannot think of any other reason to not try a different QB.
Did ya'll not see Melikih in Auburn game when they took Green out? Not saying Green is good at all but he wasn't it neither.
I was at the game. Couldn't believe you didn't show the fumble how the LT forgot to pickup his man.
Joe More needs to be given a chance. Can't do worse than what we have now.
Great points on Taylen Green. Thanks for pointing those out, I hope Bobby P talks some sense into him or we going to have a long long long season.
DJ why aren't you coaching man?
often wondered the same
bc of this shitty fan base lol worst in the country by far
Maybe one day
yay
Hey DJ. Can you believe that Sam said in his presser that t their will be no personnel changes? That’s unbelievable to me.
Very interesting! Great job!
You know the offense messed up in the game when your second leading rusher is the punter.
Blackstock needs to be givin some money back
NIL creates babies on & off the field. This new inner city culture in college sports sucks, the days of guys playing for the love of the game is gone.
@@bigbakes72 100 Agree.
Sam Pittman has got to go. It’s time… Also, the QB position should be up for grabs given what we’ve seen from TG. It might make more sense to give the young guns a shot to gather some experience, as I don’t see us getting much improved play from TG at this juncture with him being a Junior.
Dang brother… need to be in the film room coaching. A&M punter also put Ark back on their 10yd line at least 5 times.
Year 5......5!!!! The "O Line Guru" has failed.......time for a change.
I have to agree, things still look badly un-organized
yep, we gotta fire sam. he just isnt' cut out to be a head football coach.
Fire Sam yeah you’re a idiot
Truthfully...I had the same reaction to our first TD. Wasn't impressed or excited but, felt lucky if anything.
Green is not the guy
Taylen put the ball on the ground 4 time's and shouldve thrown 3 pics with a pic six. That last strip sack was a clean enough pocket to step up and hit a wide open Jackson for 20 to 30 yard gain. My girl just surprised me with Texas tickets. Thats gonna be a long 9 hour drive back to Kentucky smh.
He is terrible. Green will throw about 3 interceptions next week and watch him stay in the game the whole time. SMH.
@@kinphillips3783 I honestly think Green gets benched next game. He has to.
you should get out there coach
Do you enjoy copying and pasting the same comment on every Arkansas video?
@KingofDiamonds85 Do you always comment with nothing of substance to add to a conversation?
D.J. I like your 4th & 5 ball cap, how do I get one?
Link on the UA-cam page👍🏽
Great Breakdown DJ
Love your show. Thanks
Our pleasure!
You missed the rb fumble. Completely unblocked lb’er. Our left back was completely lost on his assignment
A questions really need to be swirling around in peoples heads
1. When do we change out QB
2. When do we start REALLY talking about head coaching change
At some point the fans are just going to get tired of watching a team lose close games over and over. What is the actual issue??????
Without having a firm grasp on what the issue really is and you break down play by play, it looks like guys are just throwing games - I know that cannot be the case, but man these are some really terrible plays
Horrible fake fg and pulling your starters on the d line when you need a stop says it all.
Honestly clean the house.
thanks DJ. love these videos but they make me sad lol
Thanks and sorry
For me it's simple, Green cannot read the field and find the open WR and the offensive line sucks when it comes to pass protection. The Hogs have great RBs and WRs and a damn good defense.
Thank you for the breakdown of why plays didn't go well.
THANKS DJ GREAT JOB!
Thanks for listening
Like and subscribe let’s grow this channel! This is the best channel that breaks down film and has already taught me a lot about different line up’s and just more about the playbook and football in general. I love this content and my go to when I want to get a review of a game or next week’s opponent! Great stuff DJ!!
Y'all literally held us on the line and interetered with our WRs on SO MANY PLAYS. It was actually hilarious how obvious Jerry makes it.
aTm #5 should’ve gotten hands to the face against Blackstock at 14:24 run play.
And on one of our drives your defender practically tackled our TE to prevent him from having a chance to catch the ball on a crucial third down and no pass interference was called. Ref's missed calls on both sides bud.
@@willtaylor6793 Bud, this is about the Razorbacks.
Trash ass Texas am was holding all day long and no calls Arkansas was the way better team overall
@@JustinWilliams-f6l scoreboard says otherwise.
@@garydavis8213 my point exactly. Don’t cry about a missed call when you got bailed out of missed calls just as much. Your own man admitted in this video that your line created gaps and gave green time by constantly holding bc they straight up couldn’t block us.
Great show
I like Pittman and his strength is supposed to be O-Line.
Same O Sam. Barry Odom, 4-0.
If Sam goes that is likely the replacement.
Rumors about TG having a problem with Teslaa are out there. Just saying. IF so.... Can't have it
@mikennem9077 TG needs to understand that there is no receiver who is a sure thing. Give the other white outs a fair shake, pardon the pun.😒🙄😏
Rhett Lashlee, start getting the money together to go get him.
Like Vandy, you are a rent a win.
i believe if we had the alabama team we would find a way to loose
I bet your right.
It is year 5 for Pittman.....Year 5 for Kiffin....Year 1 for Elko...... You be the judge.
All on Yurachek. No one in their right mind hires a guy who has never been ahead coach to take on the SEC. Should have outbid Ole Miss for Kiffin. If he has to fire Sam after this it may be really hard to get anyone other than Barry Odom to take the job.
What are your thoughts on Pitman as a coach? I’m sure not everything is his fault, but it’s gotta be something?
I noticed our splits are really close. have we always done that?
Everyone piling on Green. Imagine playing QB behind this Oline and running for your life.
How bad is our second string O-line? The guys we recruited, not transfers, that this is the best 5 we can put out. Especially the right side.
Do you think Bobby should just accept the fact that Taylen isn’t a great QB & come up with some unique running plays more or put Singleton in?
Great analysis
