Good video glad u are finished I am so glad I do not live in Canada I do not know how u and Ian stand all that cold and snow, is that 5 gal feeder buckets that u are taking off the hives? There is no sound on the computer have a great day.
I only have 15 hives for now and am pretty much capped on storage space. I really want to get enough to make a living... Thinking of getting an enclosed trailer... it can double as a (mobile) honey house and super storage facility while I leave my hives outside with insulation... A storage facility like yours is definitely a dream for the moment 😁
Shipping containers or old semi trucks make decent storage units but need space to store them. Don’t ignore the option of rental storage units like a uhaul storage. Probably cheaper than building.
@@philbeeman was thinking more along the lines of those 16x7.5 enclosed trailer, these can be towed by pickup and fit in any backyard. Not a semi box :)
Now I know why I live in Florida! Congratulations to your daughter!
Yes! Thank you!
Congrats to your daughter. Nice to get them done for winter. Thanks for the video. Take care
Thanks 👍
I miss my bees already. Can't wait for Spring.
I hear you.
Winter hit like hammer here in Michigan just in time for deer season
I think you should start selling t shirts that say “Real beekeepers do it in the snow”
Not the worst idea.
Real beekeepers feed with 5 gallon pails! Obviously 😂
Gonna be a looong winter.

I live in Southwest Montana. I noticed that you were saving the buckets with syrup left in them. What do you do with the leftover syrup.
They will be in cold storage (unheated shed) until spring and tipped back onto a hungry hive. Unheated = frozen as hard as a brick.
Is that device that comes down and holds the boxes your contraption or something standard?
Came with the forklift. The forklift is specialized for beekeeping. See this video ua-cam.com/video/5OfcfBEBgio/v-deo.html
