You should show off your collection. Would be interesting to see what you have. Another rocking vid, Robbie!
Once again, Robbie's Weekly Comic Book Review adds a book to the pull list before heading to the LCS [which will be right after this is posted]. The Sacrificers now has to be read (and Fire and Ice may be right behind that). Thanks, Robbie. Your ongoing commitment to these episodes remains a high water mark each week.
Yes. Watch season 3. I swore off Star Trek completely as it got so bad. Everyone told me to watch Picard 3. I did and I loved it. Back to basics with a new show-runner
Always rocking! Thanks. :)
Found your channel a month ago and look forward to the weekly comic book reviews. As well as have binge watched a bunch of past ones. Keep up the great work!
Ps. Not reading astonishing iceman?
If you really are a hard core TNG fan and you don't watch season 3, you'll regret it. Stuff at the end will put tears in your eyes. It's absolutely amazing. Stick it out to the end. It does pay off.
Yes, definitely watch Picard Season 3. I thought season 1 was really bad and didn't even bother with season 2. But season 3 is an entirely different thing and a must-see for any TNG fan.
Picard season 3 was fantastic!! A must watch.
Picard S03 pretty much a masterpiece .. it has some of the best writing of the whole TNG stuff and is a great ending to TNG
I love everything Rick Remender writes!
Station Robbie thanks for the great video as always
Excellent work as always!
Agree 💯 on Sacrificers!
I feel sorry for Star Trek fans that have written the IP off since Enterprise and miss Picard S3. The final season of Picard is fantastic for new and old fans alike.
You will really like Picard Season 3.
Absolutely watch season 3.
For Conan I think you meant Jim Zub :-)
Yes, I did!
Thanks dude. Great video as always
Yeah dude u need that Picard season 3 in your life quick!!! That season was fantastic !!!!
Rick Remender is always good. The Spawn have been really good too.
Spawn always fire.
bro Fire & Ice was so ahead of its time sci fi fantasy, think magic, ancient times, future technology mixed all together
Enjoyed the video but Conan is written by Jim Zub not Zebb Wells lol. Didn't want Zebb Wells name to scare people away from the book ;)
Conan , the artist must have used a light box to do this art. I liked Fire and ice but saying it’s some of the best art from Dynamite isn’t saying much lol
SMELL of the WEEK !
Well done, as always, Robbie.
First!
Fourth, I didn't place 2nd or 3rd but I get participation place holder!
69 dudes 🎉🎉🎉
😂😂😂
"it doesn't have a lot of visual stuff to it"... that's something i've noticed about a grip of indie comic books, lots of CSI vibes... do you think this trend is because people want their books fast tracked to tv series?
I agree with not knowing what’s going on with Moon Knight seems to be the Marvel trademark lately lol
What the hell is going on with the way The Thing was drawn in FF .. horrible
DC was a skip week again.
I did like Sacrificers
But another very light week again.. I think I’m getting burned out
Will you continue to be Rockin Robbie Phillips?
Never saw Fire & Ice? That's crazy!
Double R🍻
Pop Pop Boom!!!
👊🏼Station!!✊🏾 🎇POP🎇Pop🎉BOOM!!🤯👊🏼
Season 3 of Picard was crap on the wall hoping to see if anything sticks. Paramount had a golden opportunity to show us the origin of the Borg and maybe tie it to humanity. Instead, we got the same old tired, rehashed plot where the Borg are trying to assimilate Earth, this time with the help of rogue Changelings no less. They took the two Big Bads of TNG, VYG and DS9 and had them do a team-up.
Alternatively, Picard S3 could have featured a bigger threat to the Federation than the Borg or the Changelings. But at the very least, you could have tied up some loose threads like 1) What happened to the alternate reality Borg w/ Jurati as the Queen that created a Hub in space near the Federation and formed an alliance with the Federation- Why didn't they join the fight? Where were they? 2) What's the deal w/ the alternate, non-linear Q visiting Jack Crusher?; 3) What universe did the androids and synthezoids from Season 1 go to? Instead, we are just left hanging from these questions.
And, is it just me or is Starfleet a little bit too sympathetic or forgiving and willing to accept anyone and give anyone -even outsiders field promotions these days? Hey, what's that Ro Laren!? You betrayed the Federation and joined the Maquis? Well, that's no problem, we'll take you back and make you a Commander. Oh and you Seven? You never joined Starfleet and never went through the Academy. But you commanded a ranger ship, so we'll make you a Commander in the fleet as well. And you Raffaela, you have substance abuse issues? Well's that not an issue either. Here's a field promotion for you too! Meanwhile Data and Worf are stuck as Lt. Commanders for the past 20-30 years! Yeah, that makes sense.
And why did Picard have to die and be put in a synthezoid body? I blame Akiva Goldman for that mess. But, let's build on it says Terry Matalas of Matalas Prime. Let's have more of a convoluted plot line where the Borg seize Picard's body and use his parietal lobe to brainwash anyone under 25 via transporter technology. Yeah that fits! No one's paying attention!
Getting back to my first sentence, Paramount had a golden opportunity to make something work with the origin of the Borg. In Star Trek: Discovery, they at least hint that Starfleet (and more specifically Section 31) created a program for the Borg through a computer named Control. That program possesses a Section 31 agent and that agent crash lands on an idyllic planet in the Delta Quadrant in the past no less. Presumably, the agent could have been the first drone and assimilated the inhabitants of that planet and its surrounding solar systems. They had hot soil here for Q's scathing condemnation of humanity in Encounter at Farpoint. Perhaps this could have been the incident as to why the Continuum was judging Picard and the Federation in the first place. That would have made sense and would have tied so may episodes and Star Trek series together. Remember it was Q who introduced Picard to the Borg in the first place. But instead we got this mess. Oh well! At least they had the score from First Contact at the end of almost every episode.
wait… did he just say making fu- never mind
I heard season 3 was good.
👍
Spawn's plotline sounds AWFUL
I'm kinda getting burnt out on the franzita stuff
I cut way back on books they suck just like movies...
