Curry works hard for his shots and he has teammates who do their part each game day. It may not always be Curry leading on the stat sheet every game but anytime he's on the court, every action is centered on him, whether he's shooting it or not. Also, let's ask Ayesha if she's cooking some secret food for him...nice video man.
Anytime he is on the court he is an offensive threat even without the ball people over look that, him just standing in the corner all 5 guys have to be aware of his position
He's SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Great!!! It puts chills on your arm. Sometimes you just hold your head. Stephen Curry for me is a permanent smile generator. You just can't stop watching him. And can't stop being in absolute awe. We're so, so lucky to have him. Basketball's lucky to have him. I'm so glad that I'm here and not having to only witness him through highlights after retiring from the career. He's truly that much of a special gem. And then his personality makes it even better!
To think that every three pointer he makes is a new record at this point is pretty insane given the fact he still has a good amount of time left in the league.
Curry worked out his body upper strength, legs and glutes at the same focusing at his fundamental skills dribbling, passing and shooting. Speed is not that needed anymore since he always get screens. Curry went fundamental that is why basketball is easy to him.
I believe he’ll still be in the league another 7 years minimum. As long as his energy doesn’t drain completely out or receive a career-ending injury, he’ll have a longer career then most elite players. No matter how much he ages, he’ll always be able to shoot. The only thing affecting his longevity is his legs - because he has already put in a ton of mileage on them. It’ll be crazy to think, that in the future, there might be another kid who watches Curry now and emulates and elevates what he does on the court and then surpasses that and takes that skill set first laid by Reggie Miller and takes it to a even higher level.
as kerr said "he is steph he is allowed to have a slump" he torched the rockets with over 50% fg give him a few more games we will be at the 40% 3 again
Guards have always aged quicker, especially PGs. John Stockton and CP3 are the only ones that retained their greatness after 32. This is a special feat, even if you don't realize it.
It's hard work and talent. How many players can shoot like Steph? If it's just hard work, JJ Riddick, Jason Kidd, Dirk, J. WIll and many others would be shooting as efficiently as Steph. He is literally on another Strata-sphere as a shooter. It's also that fact that his quick release is so fast that blockers are trying to anticipate the shot as they get shaken off.
Steph you're the best. No wonder you're at the top of other players because you made your self perfect for your game. I really love watching you. ❤️❤️❤️
Steph Curry is so good because he treats his skill set like an art form. It's something that he's developed over the years and he works on it every day to keep it sharp. I've never seen a guy practice the different difficult routines that he does every single game and I'm sure on every day off during the season to keep himself sharp. He might lose some of his speed going to the basket over the next few years but his shot should only get better. He's a really good athlete and a very small body and unless he gets injured again I see him going on to his late 30s.
A part of me KNOwS Steph can play until 36-40. But let’s get real, if he retires, it’s because he wants to see his kids grow up. Tom Brady could still play a few more years but he hung it up this year and 8 think it’s because he wanted to be a dad for his kids. You can’t get these years back once your kids start hitting these milestones. First day in school, father daughter dance, son’s first soccer, basketball, little league games, school dances, etc. Steph has already accomplished so much, he has nothing left to prove. He’s going to want to attend sweet 16 parties and it will be family that will bring his career to an end and not the skill set diminishing.
His motor doesn't shut off. He's constantly moving. His defender's has to figure him out on the fly before someone screens for him. By that time, he creates a inch of space and launches a 3. Hope to see him for many more seasons.
its about the mentality..there are some great players who relies on their skills.. but there are few who combines skills and mentality.. because what motivates you is what will manifest.. like kobe bryant..he has the motivation of a stone cold killer.. so whenever he steps on the court.. he knows he have skills and his mentality amplifies it and it results to a ferocious predator..westbrook have skills but he is feeding through personal game stats and not a legacy..there is big difference between record and legacy. steph curry is both... record breaker and legacy builder. he knows how to play as a team and he sets goal for a team.. i think that separates a good player to a great player.. mentality...
oh god the cringe. kobe fangirls need to stop overusing the word "mentality". do you really believe players who are not as good as curry dont have the motivation to win? like they are just contented to lose? did you forget that kobe's "mentality" once threatened to boycot every game if lakers dont get rid of shaq?. cheesus im dying from all the cringe. im not even surprised if u probably have a kobe pillow in your bedroom.
as a curry and gsw fan... i wanted to prove you wrong on the first thing you said. Because curry is awesome, but theres got to be guys 33 and older creating highlight plays weekly.... Thing is, appart from Mike conley and cp3 there is no starting guard over 33 playing great. Mike conley does carry some weight @ jazz though, same as cp3 @ suns. But the thing about curry remains, he might have bad streaks... but if you can pick from every player in the NBA and then make that player be HOT for 30 minutes.... as a guard youd pick curry, as a forward youd pick lebron, giannis, durant one of three, as a center youd want either jokic or embiid (KAT). lebron and giannis for the 2way and inside dominance, durant for the imma shoot every god damn shot and sink it. Jokic or embiid (KAT) because they are the 3 best centers who can excell in offense whilst still being able to defend 1-5. But nobody picking another small player over curry for getting hot.
Such an easy answer to your question (without watching your video yet). He's not easy to guard 'cause he's got handles, shooting with a quick release, movement off and on the ball, and IQ. Period. He doesn't need blow by speed cause he'll shoot over you. If you jump at him, he drives by you. Simple sweet science of bball man.
You know when you hear someone talk and they grab your attention, but you like okay that was interesting. But then you keep listening and you realize they really know what they're talkin about because it's so simplistic( a bucket as a bucket) you got a new viewer and fan bro. On my hip hop shit.. Hearing curry is coming up on the end of his prime makes me so sad and makes me feel so old. Ik he’s still gonna be cooking past his prime maybe not as much but he’s still gonna be amazing but damn we getting old. I never thought I’d hear curry is reaching the tail end of his prime
He's a shooter...doesn't matter how old he is his game will age gracefully in this 3 point happy league. He never was super athletic anyway. Just a very skilled ball handler, playmaker and the greatest shooter ever 💪🏾
Your videos are excellent and well-made. The thought and detail you put in to each example is amazing, and each example is on point. I consider myself a student of the game of basketball, and you teach me something every video. Well done, keep them coming.
I read somewhere that when he was in training when he was starting out in the NBA, his coaches taught him that if he couldn't be speedy he would be more effective if he was quick. That quickness and speediness were 2 different things. And Curry is very very very quick. That's part of his deadliness
Steph looked like a 12 year old when he entered NBA so at 33 I estimate he's actually 28... apparently others think so too - he signed a 5 yr contract. It's been disturbing the "easy" layups and other shots Curry always makes, but is now missing. Seems like something's wrong.

@Hoop Report, Man, let me say this in the easiest way: YOUR WORK IS AWESOME. I know you'll be able to reach your goals. Keep doing what you do, otherwise, just get better.
Kids might have a better chance to imitate him, but the thing about Curry as is with any individual is that he's on his own assignment. He's not trying to play or imitate anyone. Sure there were greats he looked up to, but he is on his own program. It's savant-like. Muscle memory. Repetitive drilling. Players can coordinate their own, or imitate him, but because they aren't him, they won't be able to duplicate him.
Even when steph getting to 40, and play as a Catch n shoot Player he still can be deadly in a Team. I can imagine Jordan Poole became future Curry role in GSW, until that time gravity of Poole can make a lot of open 3 for curry
Everyone keeps saying he's the future but unless he starts soon he's gonna leave I don't see him playing the bench role until klay and steph skills go down to come off the bench level I mean they might not even go to that level they may spend their whole careers as staters and that will leave no room for poole to start
Cant agree more. Steph is great but being great isnt enough. Basketball is a team sport so even if you're the best, you cant win alone. That is precisely why the warrior in itself is great. No one is selfish, and the team understand their roles which allows steph to make plays with ease.
Everytime I tell someone he’s my favorite player they criticize me or respond with “of course” curry is the best of the best idk why some people can’t admit there has never been anyone in the nba to do what he’s done for the past 13 year

With about half a season left... Will Steph Curry completely break out of his slump and win his 3rd MVP?
no
He can, he has great defense and if he breaks out of his slump, he’ll have a chance to win MVP
A lotta shots he took vs the rockets were all off the dribble
Curry needs the ball in his hands more
Steve is just using him as a decoy the get his teammates going which is taking him out of rhythm a lil bit
I think he'll be ready come playoffs when the rotations becomes tighter
I don't know about the MVP tho
Curry wants the ring more than any individual award at this stage in his career... take that from me

Yes!

at the age of 33,, his stamina is very impressive considering steph run continously (off the ball movement) to locate the right spot.

Barring injury Curry will still be himself in seven years

Trust me. He's not going to underperform in the playoffs
No draymond..

His off ball movement and stamina is hella underrated, reminds me of ray allen running around the court, around screens - love watching.
Reggie Miller too

Watch people talk about him in practice and it's like oh... He's a true menace. They the type to sleep at the court wake up and go back to practice
Curry turns into a BASKETBALL PSYCHOPATH in the playoffs...and this time...he's got his SPLASH BROTHER with him. The league ain't ready. Arm yourselves.....WAR - IS - COMING. 💪🏿🏆🏆🏆🏆💍💍💍💍
Dude got powers😭
Haven't watched the video yet but does having a shooting range of "somewhere inside the arena" have anything to do with it?
