McGonnagal is headmaster now, and Harry and Ron are dark wizard catchers (aurors). Also, Harry had to publicly clear Snape‘s name and had his picture hung up in the headmaster‘s office because they had initially taken it down after they thought he was working with Voldemort . But Harry cleared that up and said he was a double agent for Dumbledore deserves to be on the wall with all the other headmasters

Alan Rickman at one point was considering not continuing as Snape because he didn't like the direction the character was being taken in.
As the final books were not yet published, J. K. Rowling took him aside and revealed what would happen in the finale and swore him to secrecy. Until book 07 was published he was the only cast member who knew that Snape was actually a hero and that knowledge helped him develop the character further.

To add a little more. Harry and Ron never went back for their seventh year. Hermonie of course did. Harry, Ron, and Nevelle went on to become Aurors. Harry eventually the Head Auror. After a few years Ron left that work, to work with George in the Joke Shop. Neville later went on to become the Herbology Professor. Luna married Newt Scamander's grandson. Ginny married Harry of course, and she became a professional Quidditch player for a while, then a Quidditch sportscaster. Harry brings his family to Dudley's for Christmas, allowing the cousin to play, while Harry and Dudley sit quitely. And Hermonie, she is the current Minister of Magic in the 19 years later scene. Lastily, Dolores Umbridge is sent to Azkaban for life for abusing muggles and half-bloods.

One day grindelwald came one last time and albus his brother and grindelwald got into an argument and grindelwald starting using cruico on him so albus got into the fight but someone cast a curse and accidentally killed their sister which made his brother hate dumbledore forever even tho they dont kno who exactly did it. The night he died that potion he drunk made him relive that night and thats y he was screaming kill me cuz he woulda rather died than watch his brother be tortured by the love of his life.

He wasn't any better than Harry's dad and James at least grew out of being an asshole. Snape called Lily a mudblood even though he allegedly loved her. He humiliated Neville and Hermione all through their time at Hogwarts and he hated Harry even though he had nothing to do with his father's actions. He told Voldemort the prophecy that made Voldemort go after the Potter's and he asked Voldemort to spare Lily but he didn't care if he killed Harry and James. In my opinion Snape's later actions weren't as heroic as many would like them to be, they were more like repentance for his sins

They never explicitly say it in the movies, But the reason the elder wand failed Was because it Never belong to snape. You don't actually have to kill somebody to get Ownership of their wand. You just have to defeat them.. Draco disarming dumbledore wasn't enough to Call the elder want to change allegiance to him. And harry disarming draco at darmansion Was enough to gain ownership of not only draco's wand but the elder wand as well. The elder wand refused to do harm to harry because it saw him as its rightful owner.
Dumbledore actually originally intended for snape to kill him, ,But because it was not true come back and preplanned The wand would not change allegiance. Meaning that ownership of the wand could never be gained by anyone ever again and its power would die with him. Dumbledore never foresaw anyone else defeating him before Snape got there to kill him.

He was a good man with flaws, as we all do, and he protected Harry's son in exchange for his own life. Yes, McGonagall did send the Slytherins to the dungeons, but, don't forget, that is where their common room is. She sent them to safety (Death Eaters won't go there) and a place where they wouldn't have to see their parents kill.

I'm late but I think you would really like the theory that harry snape and voldemort are the three brothers and dumbledore is death. harry is the younger brother, who didn't want to die but when it came time he welcomed death as an old friend, snape is the second brother who saw "beating death" as a way to see his love again, and voldemort wanted to use death's power for his own like the oldest brother. (also helps that harry and voldemort are directly related to the actual brothers you learn). also love seeing someone who had the same feelings on dumbledore i did. I love that old geezer don't get me wrong but he's flawed

He deflects her spells into the death eaters behind him KOing them. Then picks up all their wands before escaping so they don't have them when they wake back up. Snape is truly the GOAT.

I hate they took it out but in the books they actually go to ravenclaw tower and to get in you have to answer a riddle only someone super clever would get so luna answers it but behind them is one of the death eater teachers who catches them and calls Voldemort but gets knocked out by Harry immediately after so her twin brother comes tryna break In because he felt his mark burn which signifies calling voldemort but hes scared cuz he cant get in and if they dont have harry theyre gonna get killed so mcgonogal comes up and opend the door to see the sister knocked out with harry and luna under the cloak. The death eater is besides himself cuz theres no harry and his sister KOd and in a rage spits in mcgonogal face and harry loses his shit and uses crucio on him like he did on bellatrix but this time it worked cuz like she told him he had to really mean it which he did because shes basically the second mother figure in his life besides molly

Sirius said it best, "there is dark and light in everyone" He drove Lily aways and James was waiting. James wasn't all bad either because he loved his family and had good friends. People are complicated and the thing I love about this story is everyone was well rounded and multifaceted. Even Dumbledore was complicated in he knew Voldemort would return and he used every means he had to try to save the wizarding world, and if that meant scarifying Harry, even Snape he would do it.

Lily married a man who loved her despite him being a pureblood and they were happy with their son until "poor Severus" sent the Dark Lord to kill them and Snape bullied Lily's son just because he looked like his father. On a serious note (no pun intended) I think most people's opinions on the characters mostly stems from our knowledge from the books so while sometimes you might not understand why we ride hard for McGonnagal, or other characters, there's just so much more context to her than a Gryffindor loving head of house. While Alan Rickman makes everyone sympathize with Snape at the end of this series (he's so good its unbelievable) I do NOT feel that way about Snape in the books who seemed to get off on hardcore bullying children, called Lily a mudblood in their youth which ruined their friendship and pushed her to James and (correct me if I'm wrong) was, at the end of the day, the person who got Lily and James killed because he let Voldemort know of the prophecy and only cared once he found out that Voldy thought it applied to Lily. Him and James are both bastards and very morally grey characters in my opinion

I imagine someone probably has told you in the 10 months since you did this, but Harry's son Albus Serverus Potter actually is sorted into Slytherin in the stage show The Cursed Child which is all about how he has to deal with being in his famous father and 2 older (Gryffindor) siblings' shadows. Also he becomes best friends with Draco's son Scorpius who is probably my favourite character across all the Wizarding World franchises. They published a book version of the script but if you ever get the chance to actually go watch it (or a recording of it if that even exists), it's 100 times better.
