Fantastic video, so helpful thank you very much
Great job Mentor
Did u really make your own electronic injection? That's why there are so many cables in the intake manifold. That's amazing ❤️
Hey man, yes I did. My background is in electrical and electronics engineering. If you look at the videos I've uploaded regarding the progress, you'll see the ECU board evolving.
Hey man, great build, can you send the data sheet?
Hey there !
Where can i get that data sheet ?
I want to rebuild my engine aswell but couldnt find any information
Hello, i have a w123 M102 is the the crankshaft toque the same main bearing: 55nm and 90deg conrod caps: 30nm and 90deg
Pretty cool work, any advice for engine parts, piston rings, connecting rod bearing, crankshaft bearings etc.??
Hey man. For any engine overhaul , I'd advice to atleast have right instruments (vernier caliper, feeler gauge etc) to enable you make right choices regarding changing required parts. For general parts like rod and crank bearings, valve guides, valve seals etc, get parts from mostly German origin. Some you'll find made elsewhere but it is same German company. Please verify their presence online by searching those parts. Please get quality parts as opening up and engine is not something you wanna do every few months. A single rebuild should last you several hundred thousand kms.
My rebuild was kinda extensive as I have to change:
1. all intake valves, they were terribly worn out,
2. all valve guides,.
3. all valves seals
4. Had the block cylinders rebored, new sleeves in, bored to spec and then horned.
5. New piston rings.
6. New con rod bearings.
7. New Crank Bearings.
8. Thrust bearings were okay thus didn't change them.
9. New head gasket.
10. New metallic intake manifold gasket.
11. Replaced camshaft with a good one (Previous had damage on valve robes for cylinder 3)
12. Replaced rocker arms assembly for cylinder 3.
Some etcs
. It is the job that when you do it well, you forget it for many years.

hello , how i can get the datasheet you're using ?
Hey man. I have sent you via google drive.
Impresive job Peter!
Where did you get the workshop manual? I am looking for it.
Thank you. I got it from a friend.
@@PeterMbiria1 would you send it to me? I can't find it anywhere 😫

Please send it for me too
Brother any link of that book you was reading in video
Hey man. Please send me your gmail account I share.
Hey Peter just viewed your M102 rebuild which is a good job,am thinking of them same on my M104 engine ,kindly send me a data sheet for both M104 & M102 engine I share it with my neighbor he has a project W124 M102 engine?
Where can one buy new ENGINE BEARINGS?
What did you use to clean the pistons?
Hello there. Thank you. M104 succeeded M103 just like M111 succeeded M102. M102 and M103 were designed the same, difference only being the displacement. M111 and M104 were the first EFI generation engines.
@@PeterMbiria1 Thanks, by any chance might you be knowing where one cane get M104 Data sheet?
@@debrahshelley2457 You can get them online at a fee. Mostly it is around 20 USD. You had asked about what I used to clean the pistons, I used Diesel, a normal toothbrush and a fine wire brush.
Where are you from Peter?
Nairobi, Kenya
How do you set the ignition timing
Hey man. Cylinder one has to be at TDC, then the Camshaft mark should be resting on the cylinder head perfectly. M102 is an interference engine so a wrong setting and you bend all your valves.
@@PeterMbiria1 What will the ignition distributor timing be like?
@@YUSUF-zi6ri when cylinder one is at TDC and camshaft mark is at the correct place, the distributor rotor should be facing the mark on the housing of the distributor.
Nice Job, but how can you put new sleeves in while its an iron cast bloc 🤔
The cylinder walls were worn out, they had expanded due to wear. They are bored out, added sleeves and rebored to spec.
@@PeterMbiria1 Oh OK 👌🏾. Now I understand. I have the same engine on my CE230. They can handle a looooot of HP
@@reneeberty the much I've seen without mods but just turbo and its accessories was 300+ HP. With performance camshaft added, 380+ HP
@@PeterMbiria1 Well I am around 650, but this implies some heavy mods. Forged rods, full sec, the right turbo etc...
@@reneeberty That is so damn impressive man!! Can you show me some pictures?

Hey man does is the power steeri g pump from a w210?
Yes it is
@@PeterMbiria1 is it a direct fitment?
@@vishnukalainesan Yes it is, no modifications. The only issue would be the pipes connections.
hello, is efi ready for sale?! 😁👍
Hello there, I did some major software changes that allow the ECU do calculations for each sparking and fuel injection. This delayed the ECU release date but it will be out soon. The engine is now able to rev high (6700+) and maintain.
@@PeterMbiria1 why not fork speeduino or rusefi so you don't start coding from scratch? They are both open source projects so they have no problem with code reuse. Nice work you doing cheers 😀👍🏽
