Great review! Very descriptive! I was not a fan of the Generation Girls when they first came out. I found the jingle annoying, but now that I am older, and looked into the dolls more, they are very cool! I like that Barbie has an ankle tattoo and the high school playset is very detailed. I was looking for a Barbie doll to portray one of my best friends and the Lara face was a good match. Generation Girl Lara was perfect because of her long hair and green eyes, so I bought her. 😄

Awwwww Raymond you're about to make me cry in the beginning lol. I admire & respect you for being true to yourself, also loving the hat, hair, makeup, & one key earring :) Welcome back! Wonderful review as always & Mari is beautiful. Love all the little details of the fashion, room, furniture, & accessories. The Generation Girl line is so good & Mattel really developed the characters/friends of Barbie....unlike now. Yes, the SHADE is real.

These dolls seemed really popular to me, my best friend and I both had some as well as a few of my cousins. They were one of my favorites growing up and honestly I think Myscene replaced these girls

So glad you're back! I was wondering where you had been. Love this review, it's making me want to unbox my Mari and Blaine, who are the only two I haven't deboxed from the My Room series. I think I have them all, but I'm not 100% sure. My favorite of the Generation Girls dolls is probably Dance Party Lara. That doll is just perfect. But I really love them all.

You really should free them! They'll just get sticky and gross. Poor Mari's legs needed a few baths, as well as her pants, but she's much better now. I believe there was 7 in this series; Barbie, Ana, Nichelle, Tori, Blaine, Mari, and Lara.
I love the Dance Party Lara, too! I love her face and hair... and her main outfit is really cute, too! It SCREAMS 1999! Lol. It's hard for me to say... I really love Dance Party Tori. Something about her blue streaks and her really adorable face! But I just adore that entire line... there was such attention to detail and design that really make them stand out. :) xo

Very Useful! :P I'm glad I deboxed Barbie and Ken years ago when bought them. Now need to think again what need in my wish list. Sticky legs drive me crazy! By the way why Mari?? Isn't supposed to be Mariko?
Yeah, me too! I hope they aren’t going to get really sticky again. I’ll have to check... Nichelle has been okay since I’ve washed her up.
I think Mari was released as Mariko in Europe and other countries. That’s her full name, even here in the US. Maybe they just thought Mari would be more marketable here. 🤷🏼♂️❤️

Hi! Yeah, so after removing them, I did see they were a little tacky. I just soaked them and let them air dry for a while, then I got impatient and took a blow dryer to them lol. But they’re fine now! 😊 You wouldn’t ever know. And her legs are much better!
OMG I just discovered your channel yesterday and you just happen to post again today! What a coincidence. Anyhow, I was gonna comment on your Kissing Barbie review as there was a brand new, unopened one being sold on Ebay for a decent price! She's one of my favorite Barbies but I noticed that the inside of the box was teal instead of blue like a bunch I've seen online. I'm not sure how knowledgeable you are of Barbies but do you know why there is a color change? The box remained otherwise unchanged! I did end up getting her but I also noticed when searching up photos of her that many of the unopened ones were also posed different with their hair in slightly different styles. It's so hard to research these old dolls. Can you comment on the changes or know someone who can?
It could just be the way it looks in the box... maybe the photo is making it look a certain way or the cellophane has yellowed. I'm not sure! She could have been manufactured in a different country. I'm not sure and wouldn't want to give you a misleading answer :) But I hope your doll arrives and she's in perfect shape! xo
@@raytheunusual The first two options seem feasible! I don't think it's the country one as the ones manufactured in different countries have slightly different designs. Either way, she's brand new so I'm hoping she'll be in good shape!
