Grey Daze: Episode 1

- Опубліковано 13 жов 2024
- Before Chester Bennington became a global rock star with Linkin Park, the late, great singer cut his teeth in his first proper band Grey Daze - a Phoenix-based, Nineties-era outfit that released a pair of albums then broke up. In 2017, Bennington regrouped with drummer Sean Dowdell and bassist Mace Beyers with plans to rework and re-record their old material. Unfortunately, the band wouldn't get to realize their vision together due to the singer's untimely passing later that year, but what the surviving members were able to create was 'Amends,' an upcoming album (created with the blessing of the Bennington family) that includes Bennington's original vocals with completely reworked instrumental tracks and guest contributions from members of Korn, Helmet and more. Revolver traveled to Arizona to get an exclusive look at where it all started - from clubs Grey Daze played back in the day, to the process through which 'Amends' became a reality. Watch part one of our three-part series now.
Chester, we miss you
☹💔
R.I.P Chester he meant so much to me. Aug 19th 2014 was the last linkin park concert I ever had the chance to go to. Up front and center. During "One Step Closer" Chester came up to me and shook my hand. Later that night after LP's set. Chester had his kids on stage to do the ice bucket challenge. This night won't ever be forgotten. My dad past away the next day from cancer on Aug 20th 2014. Chester killing himself almost 3 years to the day after makes me sad. Two of my ideals growing up gone. I miss both of them very much. Chester has no clue how much Aug 19th 2014 meant to me. R.I.P Chester Bennington.
He does now man
Stay strong brother 💪💪💪❤❤❤😘
@@nico31linkinpark59 Thanks alot has changed since I posted this. But chester will forever be apart of who I am. Thank you for the positive comment. ✌🏻❤️
@@TheNatural2379. thanks for sharing your personal story. I started watching the Long Island medium and it really hits home, I lost a few family members and this show has shown me there’s so much more👍
This makes me extremely sad. I feel so terrible that he didn't get the help he needed and deserved. I hope he realised the positive inapct he made on so many of his fans.
Amby he might have been too afraid or thought he couldn’t have been helped. He changed my life.
He was going to therapy with his wife before his passing but that was just not enough
The only one that can help someone is themselves. You can get all the help you want and while it does help big time, it's all up to the person in the end (No pun intended).
@@MyName-bw1kz Helping yourself includes speaking up and being brave enough to see someone duder. That in itself is self-willed and empowerment
Him and many others
Thank you for the music, Chester.
Goosebumps listening to this! Chester's vocals are on 🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘 love grey daze
Layne was good at portraying sad and depressing moods too but Chester's vocals gave the listeners some hope imo
RIP Chester
So was kurt and chris it's being able to feel what other people feel and understanding someone like you are them is what not alot people can do
chester playing twenty one pilots at 9:30 has me absolutely fucking dead
Chester at the end playing The Judge from Twenty One Pilots, was something I never knew until today. The man never ceases to amaze me.
Ya wow would not expect to see him playing that song.
@@Wcook09 why not? He was a huge fan of Twenty Øne Piløts. If you look at interviews he gave in 2017, he talked about them in almost every single one.
There's also a video of him trying to rap heavydirtysoul
Ahhh this is so rough to watch but in the same sentence it sure makes me feel like Chester is back with us again thanks so much for that GREY Daze. RIP LEGEND CHESTER BENNINGTON.
wow, Grey Daze opened for the Melvins in '93. I would have loved to see that show!!
Even with all the tragedy and sadness going on throughout the world right now (with COVID-19), we can still take a minute to remember dear Chester for all the happiness, comfort and musical therapy he has given us with the short time he was on this planet.
I best Chester and layne Staley are making new tracks together. Still rocking on the other side
This is wonderful to see the history of cheaster and everyone a part of what he became
You may be gone but your voice lives on. Great job on new album with Chester guys
I didn’t know you guys have put so much effort into this. It’s amazing . I’ve pre-ordered the Vinyl and I know in my heart when I listen to it, my eyes will well up with tears. So Long inside my heart I’ve wished to hear Chester outside of LP.
Thank You all. 🧡
One of my favorite side projects that Chester fronted, "Dead By Sunrise". When he took a little time away from LP. One of my favorite albums ever!
🤘🏼🙏✌️

Chester, Belarus miss you...
Legend❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥🙌
chester could make his voice sound like pain sadness and frustration
these new songs are soooo good
I almost cried at the end 😥
Where are all the LP armies ? This needs more view and likes.
I remember seeing Grey Daze at the Electric Ballroom back in the day.
Can't wait for this! RIP Chester
Can you imagine a life without Chester? It would be even harder to live and understand everything and get through, even though you just want to die and not be here anymore, theres a pandemic of pain given to people in the world which will never be cured, Chester isnt the cure..maybe for some though, but you can sure bet he has saved millions of people with their sanity around the world.
CHESTER THE G.O.A.T
Chester singing Twenty One Pilots 💛
I think it's temple stone pilots
9:33 - he's playing the Judge by 21P.
@@GamersIsolation no, at the very end of the video he's playing 'The Judge' by Twenty Øne Piløts
we just miss others when they gone
Favorit
You guys did him proud! I thought Amends was great!
❤🎉
I feel a little bad for Sean, Mace, and everybody because every time I could hear Chester's voice, I just slipped into listening to it and had to rewind a lot to catch what whoever on screen was saying.
THEY SHINE 💖💖💖💖
I still listen to Linkin Park from time to time I suffer from depression and panic attacks music fuels me. I'm an outcast because I'm half black and only listen to mostly hard rock and metal out of 100 percent I'm like 85 percentage hard rock metal fan
Jessica musiclover keep going, I went through something similar as a Latino. I had one of my own idols join in on racism against my friend 4 years ago and was made fun of for being a “rocker” and wearing different clothes growing up. Start a band and show them they can’t hold you down. The irony is a lot of people respect me now. Stay true and never forget your beginnings / roots / the struggle. You should check out my band’s single “holding onto hope” by Voyager I think you may find some meaning in it.

Jessica musiclover 💪🏼 It’s the 2nd track you can view the lyrics if you tap on the forward arrow next to the track further down. Thank you for taking time out of your day to check it out. We made it a point to put out a positive message with the exception of the last track, it’s about heartbreak but don’t tell my vocalist I said anything lol
You're not an outcast, you just know what you like and don't try to be like everyone else. I remember when my brother said he envy me cause I don't care what people think about me. I've blasted Linkin Park out my sound system as soon as I was able to drive and got a vehicle with a system put in. True though that music me thru alot of dark days. I always got goosebumps everytime I heard Chester SCREAM.
Look at all the people that have reached out to you! All with great advice. Who cares what some jerks think? If you like certain kinds of music then it’s your right as a person. At the end of the day keep standing tall and being you. Do the right thing in life but also never give anybody any power to control or tell you what to do + how to feel. Not even three strangers on the internet 😎 It’s always going to be about YOU, take care of those that matter and don’t let the negative bitter or corrupt your heart. By the way, the female above me seems like a great person and she said a lot without saying a lot.
💕
Rip . to the man that got me through a hard unlucky life
Netflix please
Yeah they need a full length 2 hr doc about Chester and his life. That be so epic
@@bizzex5685 maybe in about 10 years... they usually don't do documentaries about celebrities until years after they had passed... they would also need Chester's family's agreement, and the LP guys would need to recover enough that they can talk about him and what happened (because doing a documentary about his life without interviewing them would be redundant)
🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 such a genius
Me too
❤😂
2:05 ...Exactly!!!!
nope cant do it crying already
Any sign of Episode 3?
🙂
💕❤️💜💕❤️

you never heard he has a band called grey daze... Suddenly I feel like I am not his real fan. 😔

Anonymus hacks things of Chester

It was literally his idea to reunite the band though?????? How could you possibly claim he wouldn't have wanted it when he initiated it????????
That thumbnail must be nice to have had a super hot wife that you could wear on your shirt
Hey, wassup Uber Podesta?
