Great review and demo! Compared to Japan-made Iwata 0.2mm airbrush, let's say hp bp or hi-line hp bh. Is Sparmax sp 20x comparable? or Is Sparmax sp 20x in general speaking way off? Curious what you think? I currently own Sparmax max-3 (0.3m). I'm looking to pick up either Iwata or Harder and Steenbeck airbrush. Any recommended serial for fine detail work airbrush?

Great review, thanks. I currently have an el cheapo compressor with a tank that cuts out due to overheating after about fifteen minutes use. How long will the Sparmax unit unit run for? It sounds like it only had to run the pump intermittently.

I just took delivery of this same compressor today June 2020} and Im over the moon with it, I got the rust coloured one they had on a short run and it matches my best airbrush lol, though that doesnt really atter does it!, I am posting this because anyone worrying about noise need not worry, it is REALLY quiet, If you were working in one room it would not bother anyone in another room at all. The next model down {610} although the same compressor runs faster and thus is louder than this twin model, I think they back off the speed on the twin because they have two pistons working that fill the tank really quickly, so it doesnt have to work as fast or hard and is far quieter. I was going to go for the Bambi silent but honestly this is quiet enough, it's nothing like the noisy little bugger I ran years ago.

Looks awesome, I'm currently looking for a replacement for my trusty old compressor and the Sparmax seems to bridge the gap between decent quality and a fair price quite ok. I'm worried about the 50-60 dB sound level though, how does it fare in an appartment do you think?

+Scattered Dice I personally don't think its that loud but it depends on your environment mate. I paint in my loft and the sound dose not bother me at all. :)

Nice kit I could use a set up like that. I ran a 5 gallon craftsman, loud as can be but I got good pressure for quite awhile. It died. So now I'm running a tankless from harbor freight. Nice quiet just constantly coming back on. I use my airbrushes a lot, from mini painting, to shoes and canvas paintings.

+ta24u Painting shoes how cool. I have never herd of airbrushing shoes before. I know painting baseball caps and T'shirts are popular and can look amazing so I bet shoes would look great to.

+OrcPainterNerd it's fun I had to take a break from tattooing for health reasons, and ended up painting shoe for people to help with money. Give my Facebook page a look you can see some of what I've done. facebook.com/artbyrichard13/

    Good review OPN :)
Currently debating buying a new airbrush and im torn between the Sparmax SP series, and an iwata neo, how do they compare to each other?, it seems like you get more for your money with sparmax, from what i have seen it seems to come down preference as both seem to score highly, which would you choose and why?

Thanks for the video I was thinking of getting a Sparmax TC-610 Plus but now having seen this video I may have to review between the two! do you think there is much between them apart from the price perhaps.

Hi opn I’m saving up for a new compressor so can I ask you if you had a no holes bar choice what compressor would be better for life more bang for your bucks. I’ve looked at both sparmax and iwata and I’m still a newbie and 53. I e got a new airbrush on the way a harder and steenback chameleon 2 in 1 and looking for advice. I watch your videos and I find 5hem interesting and informative to me they are. And would you have your moisture trap at the compressor or at the table before the airbrush. Cheers and many thanks
Ps keep up the great work you do

Thanks for review, OPN! I just ordered this one. I've spent too much money on "cheapies" so far. Time to rise the game! Good and useful review!

Hi wonder if you could give me some advise. I am looking for a compressor to do possible t shirt airbrushing and also portrait work, mostly across the board airbrushing. Baring in mind I live in a flat and can't have a compressor kicking in loudly every few minutes. I tried the Sparmax ARISM Viz but found the pressure drop all the time was just not working and I could barely use it for 20 mins and then needed to rest it. So I sent it back. Now I sit with two airbrushes and no compressor ha ha. so I'm wondering what the above would be like, just worried about levels and the kicking in all the time. Any advise please

what's a good cost effective air brush kit for a beginner? I don't want something that will break the bank just incase it isn't my thing. i just want to use it on my gunpla.

Can 2 people run an airbrush at the same time with this unit, others have mentioned running 2 different colours but I cannot find any other information for 2 people.
