Opening up the Bible and reading the word and then praying those scriptures outward for each other and ourselves can do amazing things. It promotes healing and provides guidance and honestly I believe is an extra little nugget to bring us a step closer with our walk with God. It helps to make his word become flesh, just as He became flesh. I believe praying with your Bible open on certain passages keep you focused on what you are praying for. Hope this helps!! My auntie once said you have to stand on the word of God. I guess it makes sense. How can you stand on the word if you don’t know what it says :)
