This is awesome. Thank you so much for this! I just went all the way through it to clean mine because I bought it secondhand and didn’t have instructions and it was a lifesaver. Thank you so much! X
My daughter just gave me her partners one. She said it’s spits out coffee grains, and her OCD of wanting everything clean was starting to do her head in so I scored the coffee machine she scored the partners credit card and went and bought him another one😂 it doesn’t spit out coffee grind with me and make a mess anyway the blue light is on. I have done everything you have said, and because I’ve only had this machine a couple of days and it was brought to me dirty. I just need to know what else I can do ,trying to get in contact with them to find out if they was a problem with this blue light ,makes a damn good coffee though after I did the scale it, but still the blue light is on. so grateful I found your channel it’s made it so much easier
Did you do the cleaning cycle or just the descaling one? The blue cleaning light indicates when you have to do the cleaning cycle with the cleaning tablets, whereas descaling is something you do every 4-6 months. The cleaning cycle is the first part of the video
Cheers buddy..got myself a breville barista+ recently here in uk,sane machine different name 😂 nice little machine tbh..this helped me alot as I learn better visualy..what sort of grind setting you grind at for espresso,,I find six is OK for me
Yo thank you so much for this tutorial! Question for you: I’ve had mine for a few years, kept it cleaned and descaled as best possible, and I’m having issues where it’s just not extracting. It even seems to stop halfway through an extraction (a few seconds in) and stop early. Is this something you’ve come across or know how to manage?
Put a Pyrex bowl under it to catch the cleaning water - saves any overflow and it's a chance to see what's being cleaned out. Denture cleaning tablets are much cheaper and more effective.
Same. I went to the store i bougbt it from. Go find one thats on display. Most stores display em on a pretend benchtop. Look in the cupboards under the bench top they will have all the parts of the display machines in there, thats where i found one and i "accidentally" walked outta the store with it in my pocket.
Hi, friend. Have you been experiencing any leakage in the back of the machine? Mine is completely new and tha amount of leakage is absurdly unacceptable. Thank you
I've used this video multiple times, it's far more helpful than trying to find official Sunbeam instructions 😂
no its not he is wrong
Same here
I come back to this video every time I need to clean my Sunbeam Barista Max. Love ya work Dan!

1:20 stage 1 completed
1:21 stage 2 begins
2:00 descaling process, 1.5 tablespoons of white vinegar
Incredibly helpful after I lost my manual for the UK version of this machine
Thanks so much for this video! Have also used it several times as it's far more easier than following the instructions
The goat, every time that blue light comes on I come right back.
Thank you, I’ve got the same machine and no instructions.
Now it’s all clean.
Thank you learnt stuff I couldn’t find on the maintenance site for sunbeam cheers
Thanks mate. Plenty of tablet group head cleaning videos online. But this is the only Descaling Tutorial I've found. Very helpful, Cheers!

Thank you so much. Clear and easy to follow

If UA-cam goes down, im stuffed. I look up this vid every time the clean light cones on!
I bought a used barista max without blind disk. Can i use normal blind disk used for backflushing?
Yo thank you so much for this tutorial!
