2:53 is that feeling.
I keep coming back to this track because i think it all hits us in a very similar way. It's not so much nostalgia, but rather, an understanding that we all share quite similar experiences (in the aggregate) the gray, the single "color of time" if you will. Nostalgia not in the literal sense, but more a false memory (an actual psychological term); Picture yourself picking a different major, dating a different person, starting a very different first job, ending up with a very different career or spouse, as if you almost lived it in a parallel way. Same school, same color pillars, walls, but it's not you, it's a memory of what COULD have been, and it's happy that way, and the way you ended up. The pain is not missing out, the "wonder" is what could have been. That's what this track is. It's a dream send, sending you to another time that still is, but never was. This song is the liminal space of audio tracks, it's unsettling how settling it is, and what the cords strike in your mind. Each note a different step in the infinite cosmic pathway; no matter where you step, it's the right direction and every pitfall a lesson. 0:41 is our first step. Our path is predetermined infinitely before we begin, we are simply living out the journey this consciousness was assigned by the randomness of cosmic dust. 2:52 to me, is like looking back over our shoulder in our own dreams and seeing each other looking back, wondering how the journey is going, yet understanding it's the same for us all.

I've listened to this probably close to 100 times and as a musician, there are few tracks that reach musical perfection in my opinion, this is one of them.
