  • We call it a TESTING TOUR and we go on tour quite often. This time, we're putting our NEW ANTENNAS to the test in the harsh (but beautiful) Big Bend National Park.

    +++++++++++++++++WHO WE ARE++++++++++++++++++++++++++
We're a family of 8! Nick, Tina, and our 6 wonderful, crazy kids.
Hey, Nick here! This channel started with us traveling across the southern United States during winter of 2018, and has evolved into a new adventure in and of itself.
In 2020, we added a new member to our family, moved to our new home base in Tennessee and embarked on another adventure over the summer. In that adventure, I realized that there was a huge need for a rock-solid internet device, specifically made for those on the go.
When we arrived home in the fall, we began work on what would be our newest adventure - bringing a brand new device to the world that will help people fulfill their dreams of hitting the road and staying 'connected' wherever they are.
To say I'm excited would be an under-statement!
We LOVE to explore this wonderful world our God created, and now with this additional calling, we are super excited to see where the road will lead! This channel will be used chronicle our adventures, show the behind-the-scenes details on our family business, and of course, show you the 'out of the box' things we'll come across in our explorations.
We'd love to have you hang with us. Whether we are in Insty Headquarters, rounding up chickens or goats, or on the road adventuring, it just wouldn't be the same without you!

P.S. ‘Doing UA-cam' has turned out to be one of the most enjoyable things I have ever done, and I hope what you're seeing above brings a smile to your face :)

If it is better than the Cloudwings, I am amazed!
Been using my Insty for 1 year now, full time RV. I try to camp far away from people... LOL, and usually can play Battlefield where I am :)

Haha! - You can always tell when "Dad-n-the-boys" are on the road in the grocery store... ...nice snacks! - lol
Was that a tarantula? They are big and hairy, but too bad for humans. 🙂 - Cheers!

Yep. It's funny because Tina sees it a few months later and is like "oh boy" :)

Thanks for sharing. Like 5. Did you pull in service with the omni-directional antenna from 20 miles, switchblade or binoculars? I like his shirt too, size XL would fit me :)

Yes, we did pull down a signal when the camper was right outside of that camp spot, when we pulled in it lost the signal but I was thinking it was from the overhead lines. We did pull in a signal when it was on my testing tripod. It was slow but I was impressed that we pulled it in from that distance.

They are more scared of you then you of him. They are drawn to camp fires. They are not dangerous they can bit and can jump. I just give them their space and they usually keep on going on their own way.

Are you getting a signal on your regular phone?

So on my phone I have 2 carriers. At&t and Verizon. Verizon had zero for a long time and was off-network roaming on At&t, and At&t has a few towers in the park. That campground was one of the places where At&t did have a phone signal, but the speeds were bad because everyone was trying to use them (just too congested).
Our Insty.Online network utilizes T-Mobile towers, which they didn't have any in the park, so that is why we reached out really far for the signal. That was one of the main reasons we went there, because we HAD to reach out that far, so we could tune really well. The other portion of the trip was to test our network roaming capabilities, which is on At&t, which we did throughout the park with very good results. The roaming portion is still in the works, and it may be some time before we can nail down decent pricing for utilizing off-network stuff, but I'm excited because with our network towers and At&t's -coverage is VERY GOOD pretty much everywhere.
