that's normal, it is a tier list not a ranking and people are merging these two together way too often
bro, you can't just put taoqi on D after complaining that danjin requires a high skill cap due to being on low hp and that she's not viable in overworld...
-danjin builds concerto so fast (n2s2->n1s1n2n3 twice->max CA and that is if you want to maximize dps rather than swapping after one s3), that you can constantly swap to taoqi for a quick intro (3timed counters) that apply a very big shield... and the fact that she builds concerto slowly means that she's not meant to run a support set like energy+heron... just run her on havoc damage+dreamless.
-her S5 says that you generate 20 energy when you hit with your forte, but you may not realize that it's on all 3 hits! so every time you use her intro (which gets buffed by danjin's outro) you get a very strong burst of dps with 3 timed counters->ult->skill>dreamless>swap.
-in overworld her constant intro shields make playing danjin in overworld incredibly smooth, since she obliterates anything...
-if anything, taoqi's weakness is that using her as your danjin support makes verina feel like a wasted slot (despite being bis), since the heal is irrelevant. but she's solid AF as the sustain sub dps on a danjin main dps team.
I’m not sure how many people know this, but one part of Jianxin’s shield utility essentially gives double the health to Danjin because Danjin can’t drain shields AND they heal her. Even more love for the both of them!

What you miss with Alto is positioning is key. You use the most avatar to taunt the bosses and then stand behind them doing free damage. Alto is OP for damage mitigation

and they don't even consider that Aalto's mist bullets deal significant dmg when combined.
My Aalto's E + full stacks mist bullets always dish out 20k+ dmg and bosses can't dodge them because they are homing projectiles.

Nothing much to say besides that I think this is a solid tier list. You explain what you take into account, you think about the different content, different enemies, and when the characters are supports, how many can use them... good video. Thank you.
As an aside note, I hope I'll learn to do animation canceling properly. I find it kinda awkward to do for now. Especially because it feels weird to do it if it doesn't trigger intro and outro skills. Maybe I'm not getting the timing right... I'll need to look up more guides and practice.

I think one big thing Jena missed is Mortefi's last constellation (S6) giving the entire team a 20% ATK boost for 20s on ult cast, which is just insane. Basically another Verina on your team as sub dps support.
@@kiro3779 Tbh mortefi is good but not enough characters truly want to use him. Also 20% attack isn't a ton compared to verina as she also gives 15% amplify which is an end multiplier of damage which is WAY more than 20% attack

I think I’m agree with you that no too much character use Mortefi and he just in B tier too, but you can not say that the 20% attack is smaller than 15% amplifier, all this has a limit number and all those are the same useful, because the attack is the base of your damage if you base is a smaller number how amplifier get your damage high? Attack maybe is the smaller increase number but it affect all. Just like I say all have limit, for example when a people crit damage is 400%+ , then next the attack will be more important than crit damage in that moment.

Taoqi may be pretty underwhelming in overworld play or ToA, but she's an absolute GODDESS in Illusive Realms, all of the character add-ons she gets sets her up to be constantly dishing out insane damage by casting her ult on her final hit, and she has faster combos, crowd control, and unparalleled survivability in IR. If she was half as crazy outside of IR, she'd be my main just for all the parry attacks she has.
I actually use Baizhi more often than Verina because Verina seems to need a forte gauge to heal and her intro skill is kinda annoying because she's attacking in the air (I know it's a skill issue). With Baizhi I just swap to her and immediately use her skill and she heal instantly, it's really convenient.

I absolutely love linyang I used my select ticket on him I just love the way he feels in combat I love really fast atackers and I love that his basic attacks are his bread and butter I also love his atack animation.

You can actually swap to other character when using encore's skill, you just need to do it in the middle of the animation, if you swap to soon it won't proc.

One thing that i think a lot of people don't notice, is that some character's lingering buffs that go only to the next character will stay with that character, even if you leave the field to quick swap before coming back to the character thats buffed. In the rare instance that i don't finish a fight in one rotation with Jiyan, Jiyan's buff passed to Morty or Verina, i can still get of a heavy attack to trigger Jiyan's coordinated attack, I can swap back to Mort and back to Verina for a cheap start on his somewhat slower Concerto gain, only to hit another heavy attack or two with Jiyan's skill still active. And buffing mort instead turns his heavy attacks into a one shot cannon for overworld enemies, hitting around 10-15k on his coordinated attacks on each of Mort's heavies
when you were mentioning Mortefi's outro, you forgot that Danjin does primarily heavy attack damage as well
Aalto works perfect as a main DPS once you get him to S3. I have him S5 and he can solo anything in the game that doesn’t have aero resistance.
Also Allro ult works with ANY damage. Not just gunners or bullets. Not sure if this is a bug but my Yinlin and Jianxin does more damage if they hit an enemy through Aalto’s ult.

I've been experimenting with my Jiyan team, running him with Mort and Verina, but ive swapped his 4 out for Imp Heron on moonlit set, bc the Heron adds another buff to the next intro'd character, adding yet another buff for my Jiyan, and at 65/220 spread at lvl 70, mine ends up with about 2300 ATK with all my buffs going. One phasing Mourning Aix hologram 3 in under 40s feels so intoxicating
Very good explanations for each character. For Calcharo, I think by animation canceling his attacks, he loses the Electro damage plus the Liberation damage buff from Yinlin. I believe they changed that, so I'm wondering if I should stay on the field with Calcharo constantly to maximize Yinlin's buff. I also completely agree with swapping Baizhi's kit with Verina. I don't like her design and don't want to play child model characters, kek. Thanks for the video, Jenazad.

you forget long animations like jianxin and encore can be swap canceled and they stay out on field as an invincible tank the boss has to choose between to swing at
He did mention it but didn’t go into depth. Honestly encore is probably the best character to start learning how to swap cancelled since her forte is basically free damage while you switch off and her skill cancel window is pretty generous compared to calcharo. Not as brain dead as Jiyan but not as sweaty as calcharo so she sits perfectly in the middle
one thing you need to inform about Jianxin though is she CAN stand in higher difficulty due to bell turtle echo and shield casting
basically both give 50% dmg ruduction = 100% dmg reduction when stack together.
you’re invincible take 0 dmg during that period no question asked,a true life saving grace when your dps is down and you yourself need time to take a break and go back to fighting again
As a proud taoqi main i can confidently say alot of ppl that place her d tier really dont know how to use her..
She’s not the best, though she doesn’t belong in the worst tier.

as another Taoqi main i think she is overly dependent on her sequences, mainly her S5 that solves most of her problems: damage, energy regen and concerto generation, all at the same time, she goes especially well with quick swap allies like Verina and Sanhua, the key to be playing her is just not focus too much on her parries, it is nice to have it there but is not something to be abused as it makes her rotation too slow. The actual rotation should be intro, 3 basics, skill, ult, echo and then switch/outro. You just need to eat all the outros from your team members to bring 90% of Taoqi potential as a quickswap dps
i think yuanwu kinda fixes calcharro's issue versus some of the bosses. get his full ult rotation with 0 brain. that and chain 4 ult energy build can allow calcharro and yinlin to not be interrupted. i like him as a comfort boss killer

i think so far the only "Janky" thing i've Encountered is with Verina when she is Swapped too she does this initial like Back leap? and if you attack and any moment during the Leap you do aerial attacks and are not able to do anything like use your Res SKill or your Echo Skill until she is Fully on the Ground, which kinda messes with me when i'm trying to do a Rotation.. might just be me but it feels "Janky" i would Argue if you have R6 Chixia, i would argue you could Pair Sanhua and Verina with Chixia and make her a Basic Attack Monster, but i dunno how Viable that would be considering the amount of time it takes Chixia to get her R6 Basic attack bonus from her Res Sklll....

I think you should take in more quick-swappy playstyle into consideration. Most characters don't have to stay on-field to build their concerto energy. Most start from their 3rd normal atk string when they switch in normally, which helps build their energy much quicker. Jianxin, for example, doesn't even need to be on-field until she can build her Chi. You can hold her E and swap out (she will stay on-field), when the duration is met, or if she does counter, she will build Chi herself. You can literally swap in, do 3 atks, hold E, swap out. There are "tempo" to these characters, which is on the nose for a game revolving around "sound".
with changli comin and her outro buff can we rate chixia higher ?
I dont understand this tier list. Does low tier main dps characters with their hyper carry team better than a character (yuanwu/taoqi) that can shield bot a top tier dps like jiyan?
I had so much luck with this game, I've been playing for 2 weeks and I already have Calcharo with Lustrous Razor, Encore, Lingyang, Yinlin and Verina
I just want to know how will kuro implement chibi characters like the current two we have so far in this game with different weapons? I can't imagine someone as small as verina using a sword or broadblade in this game it just wouldn't look good
Jinhsi and changli both care abt skill damage deepen but yeah good luck getting that buff by filling Taoqi’s concerto
My guess is Energy regen moonlight Taoqi would go really really well with Jinhsi. The resonance skill amplifier outro would make Jinhsi a beast along with her sig weapon since she has a multi-part resonance skill.

Which hyper carry uses the most "skills"? I'm regretting maining Calcharo as even though his combo is hard to perfect, it's just hack and slash. I prefer Havoc MC with the aoe Dreamless echo plus other AoE skills of his own.
bruh, jianxin should be s tier or high a tier at least, is there any character that has 2 (yes, f*ckin TWO) type of 100% damage block? jianxin with bell borne echo is just insane because you take 0 damage while charging shield and her hold-reso skill blocks all type of attack. for mobile player, she is ss tier

i have her at s2 so i can use her reso skill 2 times... that's really speeds up the forte gauge and give her a LOT of immortality option

Taoqi straight up just bugged. I tried to get hit by those big ruin guards or whatever they are called in English but THE HITBOX DOESN’T REGISTER even tho they are hitting me and I am charging right in their face. And then her forte has such a short window to execute if you miss a tiny bit of time or the enemy moved away or you get interrupted you just don’t get the shield

It's crazy how I've been following you for a few years for E7 content. Took a break cuz of burnout and started Wuwa, and boom, I see my fav streamer playing WuWa LOL.
Overall, solid tier list except I disagree with Mortefi's placement. I think him being the best in slot niche for Jiyan should not let him be placed lower. For Jiyan at the current moment to hit his ceiling, you do need Mortefi and verdant summit, and he is definitely more future-proof because of future dpses potentially needing his buff.
It's true, he is insane for Jiyan, I just feel that until he has another BIS to pair with he isn't as versatile. Thanks for continuing to watch

Encore should deserve it's place in S tier because she's both onfielder and off fielder meaning she deals damage when you animation cancel/switching and on field damage with her ult aalso her ult make her a fast melee meaning brainless parries for life. Also it is proven that Encore is the highest DPS in the game and Jiyan is 2nd highest dps. I have both too.
Encore is a lot harder to do dps compared to jiyan, lacks the grouping very dependent on ult for dmg, long animation(even if it is swap canceled), having to dodge reduce dps lot more etc makes her not there. Same with calcharo
Encore vs Jiyan dmg was assuming 100% perfect rotations by the chinese theorycrafters to reach dmg higher than Jiyan and that’s also only in single target scenario and the dmg gap is very little.
Jiyan however can do both single target and most likely will have higher dps in aoe bec he just hits more enemy than Encore.
Ease of use = more dps, Jiyan does not need a lot of cancellinng that’s why his DPS is much more consistent.
Encore has high CEILING but takes effort to maximize her potential which is not beginner friendly and majority of the players are casual so they will have skill issue.
Tierlist cater to majority of players in general rather than skilled players that’s why ease of use of char will be a factor for placing chars in tierlist.
I could not count how many times my friend died with Encore’s long animation bec they were not fast enough to animation cancel; meanwhile, Jiyan is braindead and literally makes the game easy bec his gameplay is easy, parrying is easy, fighting groups of enemies is easy.
Encore can’t be higher than Havoc Rover with double dreamless team.
I flex when I can "got jiyan (5pity) his weapon(15pity) yinlin verina calcharo encore S6 mortefi all without exploration" plus also have 40 more limited wish and 25 more weapon wishes and 55 standard wish too 😅

@@spyq4603 I got Jiyan and Yinlin in 2 pulls, their weapons 1 pull each. I got all standard 5* all in 5 pulls! I have 32k asterites and Im f2P! I haven't done explorations too.
i don't get how people say Aalto has low dmg when they don't even point out that his dmg comes from using his mist bullets efficiently.
he also is basically safe all the time since his clone taunts bosses and has almost 100% uptime.
you don't even consider his mist bullets are homing so they ALWAYS land. My Aalto E + full stacks mist bullets amost always dish out 20k+ dmg combined and THEY ALWAYS LAND.

The thing about taoqi is that she does buff resonance skill DMG but also if she is e6 she buffs basic and heavy attack of on field character by 40% as long as those shields are flying around. It's just that the skill says it buffs taoqi which is wrong.
That already got patched. Her s6 only buff herself.

I agree with a lot of your points, but I really feel that Taoqi is a bit better than you've given her credit for. Defense scaling is a bit of a pain, yes, but the 4* weapon dauntless evernight pairs with her absolutely beautifully. Her wave-bands go absolutely insane for increasing her damage (specifically her 2, 4, and 5). Her scaling on the counter attacks is pretty good for damage dealing, and she doesn't even need to actually counter to activate them since her intro skill activates it right away. The last thing is that she synergizes with Danjin insanely well thanks to Danjin's Havoc boost and her enjoying Taoqi's shields, yes this may be the only unit that synergizes with her that well, but having at least one amazing synergy with a high ranking DPS like Danjin should give her some credit, at least C or B tier, def not D.

Imo ftp or low spenders should go for characters over weapons unless they REALLY want to buff up one character
danjin should just have her own tier since she really just scales based of the user's skill
The ling yang slander is wild. He more vulnerable in the air if you don't position right like using his skill to get behind the boss. He also floats above a lot of dmg making dodging irrelevant. He gets his meter instantly if you intro then ult.
Talking about difficulty killing smaller echo's and lack of aoe is also entirely irrelevant lmao. If he's built correctly w/ the Lampylumen you should be oneshotting all common echos with it. When I'm farming I literally just run up to the group of echo's press q and the only one that lives is the elite echo if there is one making the fight a 1v1 which is what he excels at :p Plus it's not like you're forced into the air. If you don't want to be there just don't heavy attack with his meter full. He also pairs amazingly with Sanhua and C6 Baizhi.
What makes him vulnerable? He can still easily dodge during his forte

A lot of it comes down to how he looks. Using a little furry femboy just feels kinda disgusting. I don't think most of the "slander" comes from his actual kit.

Jianxian is actually pretty tanky endgame. She gets an innate 50% dmg reduction during charge and paired with the Bell turtle echo can reach 100% dmg reduction. Coupled that with her Parry and you can cheese a lot of hologram bosses. Also Aalto's dodge isn't as big a dela as you make it out to be. I used him to solo Mournin Aix IV and he did just fine. You just need to learn when to use the portal and when not to.
I disagree with ONE thing so far, on Calcharo. His poke is INSANELY good for parrying. Yes, it's just a hair slower than sword swipes, which can throw you off if you're used to the sword timing, but it's fast enough to react to the fastest attacks so far in the game (that super fast parry from Mephis, not that you'd use Calcharo on Mephis anyways). His parry has a much larger disjointed hitbox than sword swipes, he really lunges that sword forward, AND it hits twice, which means that its hurtbox even on whiff lingers for a bit. The combination of these two things makes him the best (besides maybe Yinlin slam or Verina dash) at parrying those obnoxious rush attacks like from Heron or Aix. Despite the minor startup, I think his parry is incredible. Also he has a very strong dodge attack (not Chixia strong, but very close). Edit: Dear god I agree with the design swap on Verina/Baizhi. Baizhi looks AMAZING and I only really use her in ToA as a tertiary support for the noob squad. Or in Illusory I suppose.

Call me a noob, but I'm Union level 42 and I still don't understand how Outro Skills work. I never know if I'm activating them or not.
We are in the same boat bro. The difference is that I am Union lvl 40.😂
But I believe that when you do intro during swap, the character on field will do outro. Correct me if I’m wrong 😂
Whenever a character uses an intro skill the character that got swapped will use their outro, so basically once you charge up the concerto bar on the bottom left, when you change characters you will trigger the current character outro ( leaves the field ) and the next character intro ( comes to the field ). You can easily tell if you performed an intro/outro based on the cinematic when you swap characters, if its there it means you've done it.
Make sure the circular gauge (concerto energy?) on the left is filled, outro into will activate when swapping

Baizhi buffs the whole team just not (necessarily) at the same time. It doesn’t go away when you switch character and it’s obvious however you switch even if you switch back to herself within 30 seconds you can see the little green healing ticks and a snowflake symbol next to the character and it’s hard proof she buffs the whole team not just the one who switched in right after her. 😢

Yeah but ToA is pretty much the only real hard content there is. The overworld mobs die in few hits even with the “worst” characters. Holograms are hard but thats because people are at UL 40-50 at max so we are underleveled. ToA is the only endgame content so of course people will have their pull priority based off of that. Not to mention you also need 3 teams to clear it
@@Jenazadp regrading overwolrd clearing I think you undersold Chixia a bit. She is one of the best explo unit.
1. you see a mobs with elite - go in the middle press ult - mobs gone a screen away. 90 % elites also.
2. you see elite - Chixia skill while running toward, she slides, swap to Yinlin, skill, swap cancel second skill into Chixia, the eilte is often broken. if not echo, then hold skill... it takes 5 sec, no useless ult animations.
I played a lot of Havo rover and Encoure but she is just kinda better cos of her ult dps and AOE + insta kill outro.
