"Puuluup" is a duo - Ramo and Marko. A pinch of surrealism, modern folklore and talharpa revival! The old and the new stick together like water and sleet in Puuluup’s oeuvre. The instruments - talharpas - represent tradition and folklore. The characteristically susurrus sounds of these instruments are sent through effect blocks and a looper. As a side dish, when giving live concerts they also offer choreographic flittering which emerged on its own during the numerous days these two man spent in the rehearsal rooms.
"5Miinust" (in english "Five Minus") is a most famous hip-hop group in Estonia and all songs a literally bangers and people know words by heart. So this song is a mix of hip-hop, surrealism, modern folklore.
we are really happy that they won, the song name is "We do not know anything about these drugs" they both are old dogs in Estonia and estonians love them.
Here are 2 bands: folk band PUULUUP - 2 members with instruments, daddy with low voice is also anthropologist , another man is artist and singer. Other band is 5 MIINUST is famous rap or hiphop band, very popular in Estonia who uses nicknames and dark glasses. Dance is from Vormsi island, told one Vormsi citizen, youtube writes it was danced before going to hunting.

Also I would say that for Puuluup (nu folk band) song heading is "we don't know anything about grugs" and for 5miinust (rap band) the heading is "we don't know anything about *those* drugs".
I love this song. The language is not a problem. I am Brazilian and I already know how to sing the chorus (very easy to learn) and other parts of the song. Just taking Käärijä for example. So many people knew the song by heart.

5 Miinust (5 Minuses) is very popular hip-hop band in Estonia. They usually sing about heavy partying but it’s not easy to understand song message without knowing cultural backround and youngsters slang of Estonia.

Thank you!!! I LOVED the melody and vibe + the video, but I couldnt find any subtitles on any of the eurovision videos... The lyrics do not disapoint! I will defenetly vote for Estonia, love from Amsterdam 🌷🌷

Also they have to change part of the lyrics as they mention "green Lay's" (chips who most of people probably know), as it is considered advertisement. Same as Finnish "Windows 95" who needs to change the name of the band :)

5 miinust is a basketball game where you choose your shot, score to repeat it, miss to give your opponent a bonus chance, first to 5 misses loses.
Literally, "5 minus": This refers to the simple mathematical operation of subtracting 5 from a number.
Or 5 lines of speed considering what their early songs were about.

My absolute favourite, I understand words but no meaning :)), its like joking. :) Police is checking them with Estonian TV police chronicles , they say they are too poor to buy drugs, they do not use drugs.

They definitely have meaning. The song is about prejudice - just because the singers wear cheap clothes and live in a suburb doesn’t mean they have to do drugs. The song revolves about them not making difference between vitamin and speed, and that drugs are for rich people

I was a bit wrong, actually it means "5 minuses". The meaning changes a bit.

im estonian and until your reaction i really didn't understand why so many like that song. I don't like 5 miinust because in my opinion they are not great singers and they aren't even great at rapping.. but now i kind of get it. indeed, if crowd gets something memorable and energetic, they don't even care how good it is lyrically or how good singers are. So yeah, i guess in Eurovision i guess it may succeed. But honestly, if i go to party, i am raving on the dancefloor and DJ puts this thing on, i feel i would still go sit this one out
