Isan Thailand is full of surprises! I found a German restaurant serving German food in a small town in Isan Thailand. You’d expect to find German restaurant and German food in Bangkok, Phuket or Pattaya, but here in rural Thailand? As a German, I had to check this place out. I was also very curious about how and why the owner ended up here. Let’s find out on yet another interesting day here in rural Isan Thailand.

Cordon bleu is originally a Swiss dish, made with chicken breast meat, not pork. It is basically a schnitzel stuffed with Swiss cheese and cooked ham and very easy to make. Ingredients are readily available in Thailand if you want to make it yourself. Chicken breast meat or pork pounded thin, place a slice of Swiss cheese and cooked ham onto chicken/pork cutlet, roll and coat with bread crumbs. Fry till done.

Ken, you never have to book a hotel, even in very small villages in Isarn area. There are hotels everywhere. They are not written in English, because of they do, they will have to pay extra taxes. So they only publish it in Thai language. Find these letter combinations in Thai. They are all hotels: ห้องพัก 24 ช.ม. You will see them everywhere. There will also be special rooms. You can recognize them because they have curtains at the entrance of the parking space for cars. Don't go there, these are "short time" hotels.
Your accommodation looks very cute...a spacious and cozy little house, thanks for the tour.

I got it after coming back from working n living in Mumbai for 3 years. My body couldn't cope with d daily pollutions from air, water n noise. Just to share a bit of my past. I was already in my own lockdown since 2012. Life goes on. C'est la vie. 😀

I thought you are going to have a traditional German meal at the restaurant on either Christmas eve or Christmas day, but you already made plans to fly to Bangkok for Christmas. Hi Ken! Greetings from sunny northwestern Minnesota. My sister cooked Cordon Bleu for her husband to be. I remembered that so well. I didn't even know she knew how to cook. They've been together since 1968. Nice to hear you speak German. I took German in my high school days. Difficult language. The stories I can tell you will make you laugh. We call our teacher"der Frau mit dem eisener Hand! Notice the article Der instead of die 😊 Anyways thank you for taking us along your traveling adventures 😊

I was super excited when I found a Thai Restaurant in Kassel, Hesse, Germany! It was pretty great, even had Thai beers. Thai-Imbiss Isarn is the name of it.

The prohibited area near your hotel room is where they grow cannabis for medical experimentation. It is a ministry of health facility. I am not joking, this is really what it is!
Germany food you tried only 200 THB very cheap compared in Bangkok may around 400 to 600 THB depends on restaurant class.
