Many years I have visited airports and air shows, but now since I'm aged, it's very seldom I get to see aircraft at all. Thanks to you I'm able to see the things I enjoyed. I was in the Navy and worked around aircraft's for 4 years.
I have lived in Yellowknife for the past 46 years. Ten of which I worked out of the airport as a expediter and I was a hotel shuttle bus driver . I all worked out of the two float bases loading and unloading Twin and single otters . Airline people are the best . I loved being around the airport.
I grew up in Yellowknife, I've stood wide eyed at the boundary fence for hours with my Dad as he told me what kind of airplane or helicopter was taking off or landing. Sometimes he even knew who was flying. My favorite was the big Sikorsky helicopter "Miss Piggy" and of course when the Snow birds would show up.
Buffalo has the coolest airline fleet in Canada or even the world. Not many have a fleet of amazing vintage planes like that. I'd love to get to see them in person. The classic 737 200 is a beauty and love that Dash 7 very rare as well. Personally I thinks its the greatest aircraft spotting in Canada.
That’s neat seeing the buffalo air among many others. I watched the whole ice pilot series and really enjoyed it. Those on here from Yellowknife how do you get used to the cold? I guess us humans can adapt to our environment lol. It is interesting seeing the Buffalo air as just another plane with all the other planes unlike the show where it’s the focus. Nice video!
These older birds must be fully-loaded, for they're all using a lot more runway length to get off the ground for takeoff - especially that first 737-500.

Interesting that Canadian companies would purchase aircraft from Brazil vs Canadian.
