I feel Amazon is a scam. I created and published audiobook Blue Ivy Brown Skin Girl, it was sold on Audible. thank you for the information.🙏 i'm just learning about narration now and trying to get into it but it seems that now everyone is doing it. what is your take on that?
Hello! And thank you! My take is that everyone can try, but not everyone will succeed. The most successful people in audiobook narration have the tools, the talent, and the resilience to keep going. The truth that a lot of people overlook is that it will likely take several tries to get a contract. And once they do get a contract, the production process can drive the sanest person crazy. This is why I provide 1-on-1 coaching and map out the process step-by-step in my Audiobook Blueprint course that's linked in the description. Having repeatedly gone through the audiobook narration process, I know that most people won't persist, which also weeds out the competition. 😉 I hope this made sense. Thanks for watching, and for such a great question.

It’s really not. Even copyrights on music expire for the person that WROTE the song. Contracts don’t last forever. Learning about these things will help set realistic expectations.

Hello. I've never, ever discussed being an author. I've never done that.
I'm starting out with auditions but I have intermediate sound editing skills
Nice! How many auditions have you done? That editing experience could definitely help. 🙂
Doing my initial research.
Awesome! What genre of books would you like to read?
I'm in the Philippines, can I do that?
I just found out about this and am interested. However do you think a kid like me with a very deep voice could do it? You know those police movies or movies where they will make someone anonymous with a fake super deep voice changer to hide their voice? My voice is exactly like that it’s unnatural.
You know the answer to this....

For some reason I learn more and listen better when a beautiful woman is instructing me. Go figure.
Lol! Thank you! 🤣
thank you for the information.🙏 i'm just learning about narration now and trying to get into it but it seems that now everyone is doing it. what is your take on that?
I hope this made sense. Thanks for watching, and for such a great question.
📚📚📚Thank you
You're so welcome! Thanks for watching😊

Totally Newbie looking for info.
Hey! I'm so glad you found my channel. I hope the info is helpful for ya! 💖
📚Thank you for this information!
You are so welcome!
7 years only? That’s messed up.
It’s really not. Even copyrights on music expire for the person that WROTE the song. Contracts don’t last forever. Learning about these things will help set realistic expectations.
❤👍🏻
Hey Nikki are you currently doing narrations on ACX? I like your voice and am looking for a narrator for by Christian fiction book called Trial in Fire. I was trying to look you up but don't know your last name
Hey Alisha. Thank you so much for the offer. I’m currently not taking on any new books due to time restrictions and my current book. But I do have some others that may be great options for you. Feel free to DM me on IG @nikkiconnected or on my contact page on nikkkconnected.com to discuss. 😊
is it like reading 10 pages a day
You do it at your own pace as long as you meet your deadlines. All of my deadlines were several weeks & even months out.
haha that s very helpful , to be honest i m a great reader . i love short 30 ads voice over , since i m a certified audio engineer i know it takes time to perfectly clean and mix long take , how does that part work?
do we like neglect some aspect to speed up
Thanks! Now I know I don't have to pay a million dollars for a narrator 😂
Thanks
No prob! 😊
Can an Amazon Fire 7 tablet run all the software I'd need? (In 2024)
I don’t own one, so I can’t say.
The idea that the platform takes 20% is laughable.
They take 60%. But they do own the platform. The perks of ownership.
Audible owned by Amazon take most too.@@NikkiConnected
