I don't like to buy things in sealed tubes or wraps. I did once and cracked it open, and only the ends were as described. The middle of the "OBW" was junk, basically and most definitely not uncirculated. Some of those sellers hope/expect you will never open them.
I get it. I run out of room all the time. It's not a bad thing.

My collection is probably only half of yours, but I really think you need to keep some form of inventory. It helps a lot to have a point of reference. I use a notebook
Wow! It sounds like you consider this an investment. You should be get this stuff inventoried and documented. I built a simple spreadsheet so I can track weight and easily understand spot value. Your family might have to deal with this stuff someday and need to understand what you have. Love you videos! You've inspired me to start collecting commemorative halves.

thanks for all your videos! between you and coin Guy have been very helpful for me, so much so that I got to school a pawn shop guy who bought 2x 1964 kennedy halfs for less than he should have (at 80%) and sold to ME for cheaper than he should have (at 80%) I got to tell him as I was buying them they were 90%, he said no, they are only 80....I said NO NO, they are 90%. he got out his phone and got onto the internet and said, yes you are right! thank you. so, me learning from you and coin Guy, I got to teach someone else too. LOVE your collection ! mine is getting a little out of hand but nowhere near as impressive as yours. great job!

We all have our opinions on what the limit of our stack should be. Sometimes it’s limited by how much we can afford to buy. Or how much we can securely store. To each his own. My limiting factor was volume… I stopped at what I could safely and securely store. Shifting to a higher % of my stack in gold helps address the volume limitation of my silver.
That makes sense. Definitely takes up less space.
We need more of us ladies stacking. My stack isn’t as big or exciting as yours but little by little it grows.
You’ll be surprised how quickly it grows 😊

I would lose my mind if I had my stuff like that. I have to organize into place every piece I get otherwise it will get ahead of me. Def difficult but I want to always see what I have of each country or maker.
I’m the same way, I forgot after one coin show and had no idea where things came from
I keep collectibles that have a significant premium separate and on display. That way, my family knows what’s in the safe is good to sell for melt. What’s out and on display…well…it would be nice if they pass it down but that’s up to them. They could also sell it for melt as I got the premium’s worth by enjoying looking at it every day.
My stack is a nightmare I’ve been trying to catalog my collection I’ve been just buying and buying aaaaaannnnndddd buying for so long and just sticking it in a box and shoving it in the safe I open it up and nothing is categorized or organized. It’s probably time to take care of it . Ugh 😩 spring cleaning I guess

I lay my stack on a table take a picture with my phone upload the picture to my computer then in the editing tool use different colors markers to count the different items and i’ll use different colors for the different weights and then I add all of the amounts together if that makes sense

abssolutey love the kilo libertad. you really should take the time to itemize the values of you stack. talked to your coin guy about how many customers come in with collections from deceased family members and have no idea what they have. catalog, estimated value, buy back resources, etc. id be very interested in what the coin guy has to say on this. thanks for showing us the kilo, aewsome!!

I try to avoid those coins with the fancy packaging. I just want coins that are in the simple capsules and that way i have way more room for storage.

Best deal I ever made was buying 2 slabbed 1878 CC Morgans for a $100 each sold the Anacs cleaned one EF45 for $175. Kept the PCGS AU53 1878 CC essentially costed me only 25 bucks 😱

I just scored a little vintage rare hand pored bar at a pawn for for $25, I looked it up on eBay and it’s selling for $125. So silver is definitely not always worth it’s price in weight.
Need to get back to showing your new silver stuff, I just bought two of the 2 ounce Egyptian Gods series rounds.
A man without his word is not a man! Collecting goes up and down one week bars are fun and the other something else😂 Stackers get bored or overbuy so flipping, trading is just a part of stacking 😀

Personally, I'm liquidating almost all of my commercially produced silver. I've learned how to refine it myself and kinda doing what you mentioned. Selling the premium stuff, then buying up scrap to refine into my own poured bars. Granted, my home poured bars are a lot less liquid. Haven't sold a single gram of it as of yet. Storage is always an issue, so I'm going to gold. Silver has lost its luster a bit for me. It's no longer keeping with inflation, it's far more volatile than gold and its not as easy to move as gold. I've successfully sold home refined gold a few times.....

For 1 ounce silver Scottsdale mint does more business in coin rather than bar these days
ST....I see you and others have an adoration for copper but I also know It’s not a store of wealth monetarily that I know of. Is there a reason other than the beauty and the art that you stack it or collect it? Feel like I might be missing out on an SHTF reason😂
It’s industrial and has been part of the monetary system for thousands of years. Although it’s not as fancy as silver and gold, if trouble happens, it will be important. It’s fun too!

Speg, my wife made me mark each item I buy with cost and who and date...
I use a crypto price tracker to keep track of mine. There’s a crypto called KAG that follows the price of silver. I use that to track my physical silvers value and keep track of my OZ number.

Why would a person pay so much more to have a picture (silver round/bars) pay extra? Nothing special about them. Stacking to LOSE. Funny how people do that.
but Bruce... people DO pay and so if you haven't been noticing that there's a massive collectors market in silver, then YOU'VE been losing due to being stubborn. Take a look at how you've been missing a giant opportunity to increase your regular stack because of your incorrect belief system. I'm trying to help here.
I think collector silver has its place.... but stacking generic will always achieve a higher silver weight. So in some situations maybe like graded silver but ones like silver eagles will always lose.
