Seeing you having such a blast got me thinking maybe I should also just settle on an older 1200GSA for now! I currently own a 2015 FZ1-N which is a fantastic bike, but my preferences changed over the years in terms of riding and I want to go out on more onroad/offroad adventure trips, longer trips (cuz my butt doesn't like the FZ1-N seat for long days :P) I am saving up as much as I can to hopefully be able to afford a 2019 1250GSA next year but I guess older BMW's are just as much fun, and maybe better as my 1st adventure bike 😅

I too have been greatly inspired by watching this channel! I think it's easy to forget ourselves and what really matters in this busy world we live in. Easy to forget to see the inspiration around and within us. The adventure is each other, on every mountaintop, and every. single. sunset. Get the bike YOU want, and when you find that inspiration run (ride) as fast as you can towards it. Because THAT is worth having confidence in and fighting for. Thank you for coming to my Ted talk.

If you really want to go on adventures and off road it’s going to really suck if you drop a very new and very expensive bike. Won’t hurt as bad if the bike isn’t worth as much and cheaper to fix!
Following along everyday. I have a road trip planned for next month but it's more able getting to the destination in a timely manner than enjoying the trip. I'm dreading the heat for the first day or 2.
i really enjoy your videos, i can't wait for my own two week trip through south europe. having a shaftdrive seems pretty comfy as i had to grease my chain every two days when i was in italy.
You could add an autolube to your motorcycle, which drops oil on the chain every so often to keep it in great shape. You will only need to remember to fill the reservoir. "Tutoro Automatic" is the best option
I have the same exact bike, copart purchase that I rebuilt. For the life of me, I CANNOT find rear pannier racks. Any guidance? Love your journey, the flexibility you work with and the people you meet. I think we all enjoy watching you explore while we are unable to for the moment. Thank you
You need the BMW part number, or a place to buy them at less than retail? Beemerboneyard has stuff but I didn't see any aluminum racks available today.
I saw a handful of them on aliexpress and pretty much all major brands make them. Like touratech. I also saw one on ebay as well. Appreciate you joining me for the journey! Hope you take one once your bike is sorted!

Absolutely beautiful. I’ve been meaning to ask, on your rebuild video, I didn’t see a link to the aluminum panniers. Many on Alibaba advertise them as aluminum but are plastic. How are they working out? Can you share the link…when you get a chance? Thanks
I thought I had updated the links on the last video but will have to check. I got them from temu actually. They were cheaper with a coupon. I doubt they are aluminum. They look like painted steel that's riveted together with sealant. Then the bumpers are plastic and i believe are also riveted and sealed on. Overall they have done exactly what I wanted them to do. I will do a review of everything once I get back from the trip!

Chica is a great name for a bike! This week I took my 125 on a 1000km round trip to sweden from germany and have named her Tiny after a big 1200 GS parked next to it.
Have you ever though bout cresting a secondary channel in which you could post long ride footage? I mean... you're facing some pretty good lookimg roads, so I guess it would be great Shout out to Brazil

If your going to washington and have the money get a your seat redone at rich's in kingston! They have a over night hotel that's like 50 a night and then you'll have a seat that will make your trip better in everyway! People who do the iron butt rides all do there seats there plus they put a jell pad in and fit it too you!
Stop going to Starbucks. They don't want you there, hence no more outlets. Dunkin always has some, but try to give some love to your local non chain shops. It's your duty as a traveler to give back to the community, not the corporations. (Plus the local ones have better vibes)
I honestly always tried to go to a local place first before going to a chain. Many times they didn't have any outlets either. Only reason I choose starbucks is when they do have outlets, they have ones with built in usb ports. Which means I can charge every single thing I have at once. There wifi is always reliable as well.

Its a rug from amazon lol. I then cut it to shape and sowed some elastic straps to the bottom. Cost about $50
